GENERAL MEMBERSHIP

How do I become a member of the Reward Zone™ program?
You can join at any Best Buy store or online at BestBuyRewardZone.ca . You must be a Canadian resident who has reached the age of majority in the province in which you reside to participate.

Does it cost anything to become a member?
No. There’s no fee to join and no ongoing membership fee. Just make one qualifying purchase per calendar year to keep your membership active.

Who can join the Reward Zone™ program?
Reward Zone™ program membership is available to Canadian residents who have reached the age of majority in the province in which they reside.

When does my membership expire?
Your membership is valid as long as you make a qualifying purchase each calendar year. If no such purchase is made in a calendar year, your points will be cashed out and reward certificates will be issued in $5 increments. Any points remaining under $5 will be forfeited.

How do I change my contact information?
Sign in at BestBuyRewardZone.ca, select "My Account", then "My Profile". Once there, you can add or update your address and other contact information.

How do I cancel my membership?
Contact Member Services at rewardzone@bestbuycanada.ca or call 1-866-969-7393.

Will my membership information be shared with other companies?
Best Buy does not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. For more information, please read our complete Privacy Policy available on BestBuy.ca.

Can my family or friends use my membership so I’ll earn extra points on their purchases?
No. Memberships are non-transferable and are only valid for use by the person whose name is given upon registration.

Why do you need my e-mail address?
By providing an e-mail address, we are able to send you earned Reward Certificate(s) via e-mail in accordance with the Program Rules. With your consent, we may also let you know about new product releases, upcoming promotions, exclusive offers, contests, and special events.

Can I use my Reward Zone™ membership card outside of Canada?
If you are a standard Reward Zone member, the membership card can only be used to earn points on purchases made at Canadian Best Buy retail stores and at BestBuy.ca.

How do I become a Reward Zone™ Visa® Cardmember?
You can apply at any Best Buy store or online at RewardZoneVisa.ca.

If I am a Reward Zone™ Visa® member, how do I change my billing information?
For Reward Zone™ Visa® card members, sign in at RewardZoneVisa.ca and select "Manage My Account". Once there, you can add or update your address and other contact information.

Can I use my Reward Zone™ Visa® card outside of Canada?
If you are a Reward Zone™ Visa® Cardmember, you can use your credit card to earn points on purchases made at any location in the world where Visa® is accepted.

Where can I find my Member ID?
Your 13-digit Member ID can be found on the back of your membership card.

Can I sign in with my e-mail address instead of my Member ID?
Yes. You can use your e-mail address instead of your Member ID to make it easier for you to sign in to your account at BestBuyRewardZone.ca.

Why do I need a password?
Your password is your personal code that lets you access all member features on this site.

What if I forgot my password?
No problem. Go to the login page at BestBuyRewardZone.ca and select "Forgot Your Password?" in the left column. If you have problems, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

What should I do if I’ve lost my card?
Don’t worry. You can still receive points for your purchases. You can always log into your member account and retrieve your Member ID or print your temporary card.

For in-store purchases, just tell the cashier you are a member of the Reward Zone™ program and provide your Member ID or the telephone number given at enrollment to receive points for your purchase.

For online purchases at BestBuy.ca, once you enter your Member ID, it will be permanently stored in your account profile and points will be automatically awarded. If you require further assistance, contact us.

If I am a Reward Zone™ Visa® member, where can I find my member ID?
Your 13-digit Member ID can be found on the back of your Reward Zone™ Visa® card, located near the bottom of the card.

How do I earn points?
If you are a standard Reward Zone™ member, you’ll earn 1 point for nearly every dollar you spend at Canadian Best Buy stores or BestBuy.ca. Simply show your membership card in-store or enter your Member ID for online purchases.

If you are a Reward Zone™ Visa® Cardmember, you’ll earn 2 points for nearly every dollar you spend at Canadian Best Buy stores or BestBuy.ca. In addition, you will earn 1 point for nearly every dollar you spend everywhere else Visa® is accepted.

When can I begin to earn points?
You can begin earning points once you have enroled in the Reward Zone™ program. Show your membership card at the register in a Best Buy store or enter your Member ID in your account profile on BestBuy.ca.

Where can I earn points?
If you are a standard Reward Zone™ member, points can be earned at Canadian Best Buy stores or BestBuy.ca. For online purchases at BestBuy.ca, simply add your Member ID to your account profile and points will be added every time you make an online purchase.

If you are a Reward Zone™ Visa® Cardmember, points can be earned in-store or online at location in the world everywhere Visa® is accepted.

How do I keep track of my points?
Sign in to your account to check your points and account activity. Contact us if you have questions about your points or membership.

What if I forgot to provide my Reward Zone™ Member ID when I made a purchase?
It’s easy to make sure you earn points on all your purchases. For in-store or online purchases, sign in to your account and select "Get Missing Points" in the left column. You can then update your previous purchase information by entering information from your sales receipt. You can also contact us for further assistance.

What’s the difference between pending and posted points?
Pending points are those points that have been allocated on recent eligible purchases. Pending points are not posted to your account until they’ve been validated. This validation occurs approximately 36 days after purchase or date of shipment.

Once validated, posted points are eligible for reward certificates.

Why can’t I view my most recent transactions?
Pending points may take up to three full business days to appear. If after three days they still do not appear, contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

What do I do if I think there is an error in my points?
Contact us if you require assistance.

Do my points expire?
Points do not expire unless you do not make a qualifying purchase within a calendar year. If no such purchase is made in a calendar year, your points will be cashed out and reward certificates will be issued in $5 increments. Any points remaining under $5 will be forfeited. If your account is terminated for any reason, you will forfeit all points.

Keep in mind that reward certificates do expire. See the expiration date on each certificate.

What happens to my points when I return an item?
The points you earned for that purchase will be deducted from your account.

REWARD CERTIFICATES

What can I purchase with my reward certificates?
Reward certificates can be used toward the purchase of nearly any product or service in store. You must use them on an eligible product or service in an amount greater than the value of the reward certificate. Certificates may be combined with other offers, but they are valid on in-stock items only. At this time, reward certificates can only be used in-store and not at BestBuy.ca .

Can I save up my points for larger rewards?
Yes, you may save certificates and put them together for a larger purchase, but keep in mind that each reward certificate has an expiration period from the date it was issued.

Another option is to select a higher certificate issuance threshold in your account profile. Selecting a higher threshold allows you to accumulate more points before a reward certificate is issued. Once you’ve reached your selected threshold, all points will be cashed out to the default level.

For example, (for standard Reward Zone™ members) if you select $20 as your threshold, you will not receive a reward certificate until you’ve accumulated enough points for $20 in reward certificates. Once you’ve reached your selected threshold, all points will be cashed down to the $5 level.

Threshold options for standard Reward Zone™ members:
$5 - default
$10
$20

For example, (for Reward Zone™ Visa® Cardmembers) if you select $100 as your threshold, you will not receive a reward certificate until you’ve accumulated enough points for $100 in reward certificates. Once you’ve reached your selected threshold, all points will be cashed down to the $20 level.

To change your certificate issuance threshold, sign in to your account, go to "My Account" and select "My Profile".

How will I know I received a reward certificate?
If you are a standard Reward Zone member, once you have earned 400 points or exceeded your selected threshold we will send your earned Reward Certificate(s) via e-mail in accordance with the Program Rules. Certificates will also be available for viewing and printing online through your Reward Zone account at www.bestbuyrewardzone.ca

If you are a Reward Zone Visa® Cardmember, once you have earned 1600 points or exceeded your selected threshold we will send your earned Reward Certificate(s) via e-mail in accordance with the Program Rules. Certificates will also be available for viewing and printing online through your Reward Zone account at www.bestbuyrewardzone.ca

What if I don’t have an e-mail address?
Most people have some kind of e-mail account these days, whether for personal use or work. Currently, members must supply an e-mail address in order for us to send earned Reward Certificate(s) via e-mail in accordance with the Program Rules.

Do reward certificates expire?
Yes. They must be redeemed by the expiration date printed on each reward certificate. Expired certificates cannot be reissued.

For standard Reward Zone™ members, you will have 180 days to redeem certificates.

For Reward Zone™ Visa® Cardmembers, you will have 360 days to redeem your certificates.

What do I do if I lose my reward certificate?
Lost, stolen or expired certificates cannot be replaced. However, they are available for printout in your account profile.

Can I redeem my reward certificates on BestBuy.ca ?
No. At this time, reward certificates can only be redeemed in-store.
