an ok entry level gaming computer

Bought this computer to play grand theft auto online. The specs are fine if you are looking for playing the game on normal quality or lower graphics after driver crashing issue fixed. Motherboard layout horrid for upgrades as in my case a usb 3.0 port is limiting the size of graphics card I can insert to a small form factor graphics card and needing to upgrade power supply is also required. Have had good luck with acer products in the past but not good if you plan on upgrading.

Acer Desktop

Great PC. 2 weeks in, very impressed. Boots quickly, surfs the net at high speed without a glitch. Am part of the Best Buy mailing list. Because of this I caught it on sale. Became even better value. Highly recommended computer. PS- Get used to windows 10 and you will never go back.

Aspire TC 705

The computer itself is fine and has more capability than I need. It is fast and reasonably quiet. I wish that it had USB2 ports on the front panel and the present USB3 ports were on the bottom of the front panel instead of the top, but these are minor things. It could be a better machine if there were 2 HDMI ports. Unfortunately it comes loaded with windows 10. Need I say more?

Good PC but....

This PC is good if you want to start gaming. The graphics card is not extremely bad, you can still play CS GO or LoL at high setting while getting excellent frame rates. But if you wanna play more demanding games like Battlefield or GTA you'll have to play at lower settings. If you are buying this thinking that later you'd want to install another graphics card here's a small heads up : The case wont fit a full size card. I swapped the GTX 745 to a 960 SC by EVGA and it was designed for small cases. Also you'll have to change the power supply because the 380 watts that's on this PC wont do if you want to install a better graphics card. Also the motherboard is very limiting, there's no room for expansion. Also , the HDD gets a little noisy, not a problem for me but it's there.

Crippled computer cheap DO NOT BUY

Carte vidéo intel inutilisable lecteur dvd bruyant et minable 1 seul port sata pour extension boitier mince et fragile carte video nvidia peu performante

It has good value!

This is a great value buy while on sale and more than adequate for a office computer. If you want to nit pick every part of this computer then you'll be sour grapes. You should spend more money for the specs you want and stop being cheap. The performance of the 6th generation i7-6700 cpu is very marginal compare to this 4790 unless were talking about the K-series.

Honest Review

--Pros--: Computer runs fast, high end games run fine 40-50fps. (2) audio outputs (2) microphone inputs, Fast HDD drive, has Bluetooth (con: slow, bad with controllers) --Cons--: is a little sad when you look inside the tower , motherboard has no room for upgrade only hosts a small slow graphics card that compensates speed with storage. Although it has a lot of space It will run into issues if using a big monitor or using high resolution. only has one (1) HDMI output. --Tips: Download Nvidia game-ready drive if if you have this error (( Display driver NVIDIA Windows Kernel Mode Driver, Version 3**.** stopped responding and has successfully recovered.))

CPU Great, The Rest Not So Much

Cons: -Low grade Mother Board with no expansion sockets available -DVD burner is rated at 8x but burns at 3x - 4x (10 minutes per DVD+R or DVD-R) -Keyboard is a laptop style abortion missing a dozen keys that are buried under a Function Fn button -The front "Power On Light" is blinding- cover it with 4 layers of cloth to fix. Pros: -i7-4790 is fast enough to do general computing for 6-8 years -Good Ram and hard drive space -Decent video card (runs 2 monitors) -Both fans quiet

I think I got a lemon. The HDD is super noisy, network connectivity is intermittent, crashes playing Fallout: New Vegas, and this morning when I tried to boot it up I got a black screen and had to restart it. This is unacceptable for a computer that's a week old, so I'm definitely taking it back.

Great PC and a great price

It’s an i7 4790. Really smooth performance, Quite CPU and nice graphic card. No issues with this. I bought this at a sale price so feel it’s worth getting an i7 at the sale price. There is no other i7 desktop for the current sale price.

Awesome for gaming!!

Pros:Works very well, I can run games like gta on high setting with 50-70 fps and just cause 2 at a constant 60 fps and csgo on ultra with 100-150 fps amazing budget pc. Cons: It might be possible to replace the graphics card with a bigger and better one but it is very difficult and you will need to move thing around inside the pc and might need help from computer techs

Excellent gaming for price.

What can I say, I bought this computer after reviewing others that costed alot more for gaming use. I bought this unit just to play a particular game, and its the best investment that I made. Its fast, doesnt lag, and pretty straight forward.

works great

If youre going to buy this computer for gaming definately invest in a better graphics card, I bought a zotar gtx960 and it barely fit, I had to move my hdd to the 2nd hdd bay, re-route all the wires away from the radiator just to make enough room for it to barely fit. Only complaints about the computer is the vertical hdd bays which limit the room of the case, and that theres only one pci port. With this computer and a gtx 960 I can run 90% of games on ultra.

Not fast enough for games

picked this computer up in hopes it would be an affordable PC for minimal gaming and video editing, but the graphics card just is not up to the task and not enough room to upgrade to a decent one. i ended up returning it and getting an Asus gaming PC for a few hundred bucks more. Customer service was understanding and gladly exchanged it even though i had had this model for 2 months (over the 30 day return policy)

Greast Computer for gaming!

Have been using my computer for just about a week now and have to say that if ur an online gamer then you will find this computer more than adequate, am an online gamer and have had no lag and am able to have my resolution setttings at ultra on all my games while running music in the background and the fps is still mid 100's more than good enough, am a happy gamer!!

Not a good gaming pc

First off the card is a joke, stay away from the 745. If you want to put in a GTX960, don't try, it won't fit the board in this PC.

  • from Toronto, ON

Not worth it for the long run

Ive tried to install a GTX 660 inside this PC, yet it has no room for any sort of full size GPUs. Better of buying a dedicated gaming PC, unless this is really what you need.
