Best 12-cup coffee maker so far

We've tried a bunch of different coffee makers. Our main criteria is having a 12-cup carafe and the heat of the coffee is important. Here, the cuisinart DCC-3650C delivers. Obviously the coffee never will be as hot as at a coffee shop with their industrial grade machines, but for home use, this definitely is the hottest we've had. I also like the design in terms of pouring water into the reservoir, unlike many other coffee makers that we've used, the water reservoir itself has a very wide opening. And even better - the coffee filter is completely enclosed, so there are no more accidental water pours when filling the reservoir, any water that would have dripped into the filter just flows right into the reservoir. Our only concern is the heating plate, the plastic coating has peeled off slightly in a few spots, but for now it doesn't matter. highly recommended

Cuisinart filter coffee machine

I have only one criticism of the machine: the shut off valve in the filter holder is very fragile and can easily jam if you try to remove or replace the glass carafe with the filter / holder in place, especially if you use the supplied mesh filter. With a paper filter it works better because the paper can be pushed up by the valve but is still a potential problem. A better shut off valve design is required.

Cheap look, plastic taste

I bought this coffee maker because the brand and cost made me believe it would do the job. Instead, the coffee consistently tastes of plastic. We've tried everything. Vinegar cleanings, etc. Still tastes like plastic. And the brushed aluminum is cheap in appearance and picks up finger prints. Finally, after two months, just pitched it and bought a Melitta. Makes great coffee. Solved.

Great product!

I've purchased a lot of Cuisinart products and I've never had a problem with them. This is an awesome coffee maker! It's easy to set up and use and the coffee tastes delicious. Works great with a Cuisinart burr grinder too! The only thing I would like to see added is the ability to set the number of cups to make and have the machine use only the amount of water required (without using up all the water in the reservoir each time)

This one's a keeper!

This is my third Cuisinart. The first was a DCC-1200C that served faithfully for years before it wore out. The second was a DCC-2400C that I bought in 2009. I didn't like it very much, it was impossible to pour out of the stainless steel carafe and the unit did not have a warming plate so the coffee was lukewarm at best. It still works but it was time for a change. So I bought this new DCC -3650C. It has an easy-pouring glass carafe and three settings for temperature. Enjoying my first pot as I write this. The coffee is excellent and it is piping hot! Plus, the unit looks great!
