More Information

It's camping season. You've packed your tent, sleeping bag, and sunglasses. But, while you're looking forward to unplugging and relaxing, you've got some tech you need to bring with you. Handheld GPS, headlamp, digital camera, action camera...the list goes on. Problem is, how to keep all of your devices going?

Simple: the Goal Zero Sherpa 100 solar charger kit. With the Sherpa 100 power pack you can keep all of your devices topped up. The Nomad 20 solar panel lets you directly charge and power most devices and keep the Sherpa 100 charged up in the sun. Go ahead and let the sun do the hard work as you relax on a shady hillside or camp out on the edge of the forest in your favourite secluded spot.

What you need to know:

Nomad 20 solar panel

  • Nomad direct charging: The Nomad 20 has 4 ports: a USB port with a 5V output up to 2A (10W max), regulated; an 8mm solar port (blue) with a 14-22V output up to 1.3A (20W max); a 2.5mm mini solar port with a 6.5V output up to 1.1A (7W max), regulated; and a solar port used for chaining together multiple, compatible solar panels, allowing your devices to charge faster.
  • Panel powers most devices: This mid-size solar panel is capable of charging USB and 12V devices with low to medium power needs, including smartphones, action cameras, headlamps, handheld GPS units, DSLR cameras, tablets, laptops, and more.
  • Simultaneous charging: You can plug in a 12V and USB device at the same time, but charge time will be slower for both devices
  • Portable, go-anywhere design: The Nomad 20 uses monocrystalline technology in a foldable design, ensuring the panel collects the most power, while keeping down the overall weight. This solar panel is also weather resistant and can withstand exposure to snow or rain.
  • Store the sun for later: The panel cannot hold a charge on its own, but when it's paired with a Goal Zero Power Pack, such as the Sherpa 100 (included) or Yeti 150 (not included), you can reliably power your devices at night or if the weather isn't cooperating.

Sherpa 100 power pack

  • Sherpa direct charging: The Sherpa 100 has 3 ways to charge your devices: USB port, laptop port, and optional U.S. or international AC inverter (not included). The USB port has a 5V output up to 2.1A (10W max), regulated. The 7.4mm laptop port has a 19V output up to 6A (120W max), regulated. The U.S. AC inverter (not included) has a 110V output up to 0.9A (100W max), 60Hz, modified sine wave. The optional international AC inverter (not included) has a 220V output up to 0.45A (100W max), 50Hz, modified sine wave.
  • Power pack charges most devices: This power pack can charge USB and 12V devices with low to medium power needs, including smartphones, action cameras, headlamps, handheld GPS units, DSLR cameras, tablets, laptops, and more. Charging a device with the Sherpa 100 takes the same amount of time to charge as it does from the wall.
  • Dedicated laptop port: A dedicated laptop port with cable and assorted connectors lets you charge your system directly from the Sherpa 100. No need to lug your laptop adapter and cables.
  • Charge up your mobile devices: The Sherpa 100 has dual USB ports, allowing you to charge 2 USB devices at once. A 12V port allows you to power anything that requires a direct current (DC), such as lights and or cooler.
  • Battery capacity: This mid-size battery has a capacity of 98Wh capacity (11V, 8,800mAh), offering lots of power for charging a variety of devices. A headlamp uses 4Wh for up to 25 charges; a smartphone uses 5 to 7Wh for up to 14 charges; a GoPro uses 5Wh for up to 18 charges; a digital camera uses 8Wh for up to 10 charges; a tablet uses 25 to 42Wh for 2 to 4 charges; and a laptop uses 50Wh for 1 to 2 charges.
  • Powering the power pack: Charge the Sherpa 100 in 3 hours using the wall charger or 4 hours using the car charger.
  • Recharge with the sun: You can also use a Goal Zero solar panel to charge the Sherpa 100, but charging times will vary: Nomad 13, 15 to 30 hours; Nomad 20, 10 to 20 hours (included); Boulder 15, 13 to 26 hours; and Boulder 30, 7 to 14 hours.
  • Portable design: Compact and weighing only 0.86kg (1.9lbs.), the Sherpa 100 can go with you anywhere.
  • Charge in the dark: A built-in LED light on the front makes it easy to charge your devices when it gets dark.
  • More power: The Sherpa 100 can be chained together with another Sherpa 100 power packs (sold separately), allowing your devices to charge faster.
  • Input indicators: Blue light ring on the input port lets you know that you know the Sherpa 100 is getting power, and the LCD display shows the charging status of the battery pack.
