Pretty good value

It's our bedroom tv and we are happy with it.

Poor quality build

The picture on this TV is great. It's too bad the quality is so poor. I bought my TV in 2014 and just after 2 years, the back-light went out. I had sound but a black picture. The warranty was expired so I got it repaired only to have the TV fail on me 2 months later. I had another repair and it failed again. Now, the TV repairman refuses to warranty his repair because the quality of the Insignia TV is so bad. I'm now forced to buy a new one. It's too bad cause I really loved the TV when I first got it. Just don't expect it to last very long.

Great Product for the Cost.... invest in a soundbar

We bought this TV about a year ago and it's working great so far. Clear picture and great HD quality. When purchasing or reviewing an item, always keep the price in mind because you get what you pay for. Well this was worth it for us. Unfortunately the sound is of poor quality, but purchasing a soundbar to go with it would boost that no problem. Definitely recommend this TV :)

Yes , i purchased a used insignia tv for 200$ cad and i like it , the picture has nice colors , i like the material , insignia tv is different from the regular tv's , i had jvc , and philips and they were all same boring tv's ,this insignia tv has something , i like this tv , the sound speakers need to be improved ,i turn the volume loud and the sound doesn't make much difference from volume 3 to volume 33 but i like this tv , Andrzej Józef Czerwinski Edmonton Canada

Love it!

Great TV although this is our first LED set. Until now the old junky analog monsters were good enough but that was before mother nature zapped two of them with lightning a few weeks ago during the first storm of the spring. Picture is great, audio is good, etc, etc, etc. Yes, it ain't a $4k 4k set but for what it is it is great. We bought the 3 year extended warranty which from what I can see means we'll get a new set should this one crap out. Well worth the bucks that were spent. We're already pricing and contemplating the 48" 1080p version to replace this one and putting this one on our 3 season back porch. Go Insignia Go! Best made in China piece of electronics that we've ever bought.

Good unit with a surprise

Good unit, crisp picture, good sound but not great ( recommend a home theater amplifier ) Unit is rated on the box and in the manual at 720p however, chipset is actually 1080p and performs as such. Recommended.

Great deal for 39"

This model is pretty lightweight, a bit wobbly on the stand, wouldn't recommend this for homes with small children or pets who could knock it over easily. We plan on getting a slightly larger size eventually and using this one to replace the old style TV in our teenagers room. The picture is good, sound too, we like that it has a thin frame around the screen, works perfectly fine so far!

Alright but has problems and wont last long.

I bought this today and I would not recommend this for anyone that wants anything that is quality, its a very cheaply made TV, the Optical Digital Audio Output popped off first time I took out the optical cable. Its not worth the money even though its cheap it would be lucky to last a year.

Perfect size

We had an old 32" TV, which was working fine, and which was in a beautiful wooden wall unit. We wanted a flat screen, smart TV, but did not want to get rid of the wall unit. 40" TVs looked to be just the right size; but outside dimensions, with/without the stand just did not fit. So, we went-down to 39", but this size is practically non-existent in Canada! Go figure.. tons of this size in the US... but few and far between in Canada. Best Buy had two 39" to offer, but one of them, the dimentions including/without the stand just did not fit in the cabinet we had. However, this one was just perfect. So, not only did we get a TV that fit, we loved the screen aspect/ratio. On the channels that are HD, the screen automatically goes full-size. On those channels that are not, it stays regular size, but you have the option to change the aspect to "cinema", which brings it back to full-screen. Although this is NOT a smart TV, we have a Chrome cast streaming device, which works just fine with it. All this, plus free delivery for a great price. Thank you Best Buy.

Died in 2 years

Worked great but only lasted for 2 years then died. No picture, just sound!

Great value

We bought this on Black Friday sale for an excellent price. Before it showed up [free delivery to our door] we thought we might return it and spend more to get something better. It arrived and I decided to give it a try. To my surprise its a great tv. We use Shaw digital HD channels and for a budget tv its picture and sound are very good. The TV has a very narrow boarder around the screen and its relatively thin and its lightweight. My wife thought it was going to be too heavy for her table, but its a lot lighter than the CRT we replaced. We have another Insignia flat screen TV we purchased several years ago and it has worked flawless and hopefully this one will keep going for many years too. I also like all the HDMI ports on the back of the tv also.

Worked great for one day

I bought this tv for my grandmother because it was on sale on cyber Monday. The picture and sound were great for one day and then little spots almost like snow showed up on the screen and would not go away. We thought maybe it was the cables, so we switched them and it didn't help. Then we even tried a different tv hooked up to the satellite cable thinking it was the signal but with other tv picture was perfect. All in all I would only recommend taking a chance with this tv only if you have a Best Buy very close to return it to. Needless to say my elderly grandmother was disappointed and annoyed with the whole situation.

Great tv for the price! Bought it for my bedroom and hooked up Apple TV..... It rocks. Picture is fantastic, but like others stated , sound is a bit dull.... That being said, I would recommend this tv :)

Good TV

I bought it 4 weeks ago, and it's working fine so for. Reasonable price. The only thing that is not good is its USB capability, where it can only load images through USB, no videos or anything else!

Most Bang for your Buck, Most Ports

This is my 3rd Insignia TV, the first having died after 6 years of light use but the 2nd going strong after 2 years. Great picture, fair sound (vastly improved by a good sound bar), great features. The most bang for your buck and unlike Samsung, LG, and Sony all the ports you need (USB, multiple HDMI, an actual digital audio out and headphone jack!), ports that the name brands don't seem to think are important unless you pay over a $1000 for their TV. Very light weight as well, easily installed on my wall mount. I got the extended warranty and at such a modest price; I am happy if I get 3 to 5 years out of this TV!

Great TV

Bought it a year ago and been using it since. Pros: Has worked no problems throughout. The HDMI input is a plus for using Chromecast. Colours are crisp and beautiful. Can't beat the price. Cons: Wish the TV stand it comes with was adjustable. It does not add much height, which can be a problem if your TV stand is low height.

Great TV Best Value/Quality Ratio

It is very bright and has great colors and picture. Pedestial stand (two feet) is too low and the sound is what to be expected from a flat screen. It is in fact 1080p. TV tuner works fine over the air too. I don't know how long it will last (hope for 3+years) but for now it is a steal for what I paid.Returned a Sony,Samsung and LG before that one :) Great job Insignia. If it lasts long enough I will buy more products from you.

Everything is going well until now but it's not clear while watching tv (picture).
