I was excited to get this combo but it has turned into a real pain in the butt. The mouse soon started to act strangely. Making selection became difficult with the left button double click automatically when selecting. It was very frustrating.
Thankfully I contacted Logitech and they send a replacement for which I was grateful. Then 6 months later same problem occurs. So back to my trusty wired mouse I've had for 10 years.
I can't believe I'm going to write a negative review of a Logitech product. I've been using Logitech for years and was a computer tech who highly recommends Logitech. But, this combo is awful. Most of the problem is with the mouse. I'm always charging, daily, constantly and sometimes I need to keep the wire on or I can't use it. I find the buttons poorly functional as it won't click on links without multiple attempts, even fully charged. It also seems to make the page scroll up and down by itself? What's that about? It is a large mouse but I'm not a small man but I literally have to keep my hand to the front of the mouse to make the buttons work. The keyboard is ok, keeps it's charge, love the light up feature but have had buttons pop off? Overall I couldn't give it a 0 for the rating so 1 it is. I'll be replacing as soon as I can...
Love the feel of the keyboard and mouse. Smooth movement and scrolling with the mouse and the keyboard has a nice soft feel with a solid contact. Battery life is good and only requires a bit of care to ensure it remains charged. On the positive side no replacement batteries needed. Great value when on sale.
This feels like a quality product, smooth operation.quiet, nice feel, and the lighting is perfect. The key board lights up when your fingers are near and stays on just long enough. The batteries are rechargeable so you don't have to replace them.
Altogether a fine keyboard
So far , I really like this keyboard.
It appears to built very well.
I want to see how long it takes before the keyboard and mouse need a re-charge.
I'm going to be using a powerbank to charge these two, as ir can do it twice as fast as the low powered USB port on the computer.
I dont iunderstand why the num lock key isn't backlit when the caps lock key is.
Just love the keyboard, it is so smooth and doesn't make any clacking noise. Keys are nicely rounded for fingertips and the enter key is in the proper location, not an extra key over like so many new keyboards.
The mouse is very nice and on the larger side so easy to handle with my slightly arthritic fingers.
Thanks for the great deal on this combo.
This is the highest model among Logitech keyboard and mouse combo product line. I've used a lot of combos, one problem with Logitech keyboard is the letters on each key are wearing out very fast. After some time of intense use, some the letters just disappeared. Looks like the letters are some cheap paint work, not properly engraved.
And the mouse is a little too big for an average sized man. It certainly would not fit into women's hand. Which would discourage 60% of potential buyers. The battery life of keyboard is great, last at least a week without have to charge. However, the battery for mouse can not last 3 days or less.
Also, there's no storage space within mouse for the USB dongle. This useful feature is included in many other models.
Overall, the performance and precision are great. Still a good product.
so far so good.
I bought this to replace my old one that had the old sync function and it works much better. I like the fact you charge it via usb. The light up keyboard works awesome and the feel of the keys are great
I was looking at getting this mouse and keyboard separately so I was pleasantly surprised to see they offered them as a combo. I have no issues with the battery life with either one, I simply turn them off when not using them for periods (overnight). I have used the mouse in the past and love it, all the buttons you need without going crazy. Keyboard seems great, lights come on when you need them but you can always turn them off to save power. Cleans up the work space with the lack of cables! No issues, would recommend.
I love the quietness of this keyboard. The cushion on the keys is nice and quiet and not overly springy. The feature that it's rechargeable to eliminate constant battery waste is a bonus and they both last quite a long time despite the other reviews. I use it daily at work and only charge it on Fridays.
The mouse moves smoothly and has a great feel ergonomically.
The only negative comment is that the "Z" key is so sensitive that just a pass of the finger triggers it you don't even have to hit the key. I've noticed this on other employees keyboards as well azs they randomly have z'ed in their emails.
otherwise great combo.
Very poor battery life. The idea of going with a wireless keyboard and mouse is to eliminate wires. But the mouse has to be charged almost every second or third day - meaning you need to pull out the wire and charge it. I use this for work, so am on it at least 7 to 8 hours per day. The keyboard will last almost a week or more between charges, which isn't too bad. I've tried replacing the stock batteries to see if I could go longer between charges, but no luck.
Something to also keep in mind, if you have small hands, the mouse is fairly large. The forward and back buttons might not be easily accessible for small hands and you'll keep hitting the zoom button (which is what happens in my case - you need to get used to moving your thumb higher up).
I like the keyboard - hate the mouse. Their unifying system allowed me to use my MK710 mouse with this keyboard, so I only have to worry about charging the keyboard. MK710 battery will last months.
I bought this keyboard&mouse combo to replace existing set of keyboard and mouse that are wired. I love the ergonomics on both keyboard and mouse. Also, I have wireless mouse from logitech that I purchased 7 years ago and it is still working very well so I can fully trust Logitech products.
This package meets all my needs for both comfort and performance. The ergonomic design comes with elegant shape as well. The only thing I think it can improve is the better life of the mouse, I need to charge it every week.
I got this combo for Christmas. I like the feel and size of the mouse. Fits great & moves well. The keyboard is also nice. However, I'm always charging the darn thing! I previously had a wireless keyboard/mouse combo that used 2 - 2AA batteries. Had to change the keyboard batteries about once every 2 months, and the mouse maybe every 2 weeks or so. With the MX800 I'm always charging. I have the keyboard illumination turned off 90% of the time so that shouldn't be draining the battery, and the mouse, I don't know what's causing it to be low all the time. Best thing I'm going to do with this Combo is replace it with something else. Giving this a 1 star simply because I don't like having to recharge a couple of times a week. If you're looking for something that runs more than a couple of days on a charge look elsewhere.
After using a backlit keyboard on my laptop, I was eager to get one for my desktop. I was also looking to get rid of the extra wires to try to keep my desk neater.
The keyboard was a snap to use and its great to have the extra USB port freed up (Originally each was a USB, wired connection, but now its just using 1 USB port for the receiver for both).
I am a programmer, so I wanted to double check that the keyboard had a good tactile feel before buying so I had hit a store before hand and tried out the various keyboards as I knew I was in the market for one (and was watching for Boxing day sales). The MX800 was the one I was after, and I was fortunate that Best Buy had a deal on it!
The mouse I had the exact one previous for my laptop so was happy to get one for my desktop. Works for days with a single charge.
All in all, it is a great combo, where each device is fantastic on its own. I am very happy with it and would definitely recommend it to others!
-great feel on keyboard
-backlit is great
-mouse is comfortable and DarkField senses very well
-easy to turn off if no in use
-only had for 4 weeks or so, and no complaints yet!
The only caveat would be to try the keyboard out to make sure it is something you would be happy typing on. I love it and I am quite picky on the feel of a keyboard and for me it is a personal choice. [Just to be clear, I really really like the keyboard feel and I would recommend this for any keyboard, be it $5 or $500 dollars!) :-)
Great keyboard with awesome features such as a keyboard that lights up by motion of the hand. Charge on the keyboard lasts about a month with regular use.
Very appealing looking and keystokes are fairly quiet in comparison to other keyboard I have used.
