Overall a very good 1st camera

I am new to the field of cameras and had to do quite a lot of research when going for my 1st camera. Finally I bought the Nikon D3300 with the 18-140mm lens. Overall, I am quite happy with the way it works and the photos are just great. I would recommend watching a youtube video tutorial before starting if this is your first camera.

Great entry level DSLR, great bundle

If you can get this bundle for the right price, it is totally worth it After reading a lot of reviews, this seemed to be one of the best options for lower end DSLRs. One thing that makes it stand out is it doesn't have any anti-aliasing filter like some other cameras which will give you sharper images (and the mega pixels are high enough that this shouldn't be an issue) The battery life on this camera is also really high, and the camera body is lighter than its predecessor 3200. If you are wondering if the d5300 is worth it, the only difference is that it has built in wifi and a tiltable screen. The fact this bundle came with the 18-140mm lens was attractive to me because I wouldn't have to switch lenses and it should be suitable for most of the shots I'll want to take. I don't think the 18-55mm lens would have had enough zoom for my liking. I might buy a portraiture lens in the future, but for now I'm going to roll with just this one and see how it goes.
