Amazing

It really must be experienced to be believed. If you get one of these, check out the game demo "bullet train" - this gives you an idea of what a fully immersive first-person shooter is like. With the touch controllers, picking up and firing a gun is incredibly natural. Open your hand, close your hand around the gun, pick it up and pull the trigger. It's like being a super soldier, without the pain, years of training or government contract.

Rift

If you nit pick there are things like if you look really closely you can see a screen effect, or the resolution isn't 4k but in reality you don't notice any of this when you are engaged with a game. If you are a gamer its like really being a part of the game. seriously! No comparison to monitor, actually its not even the same sensation at all. The head set is comfy and not too heavy, built in headphones are good. If you wear large glasses you may have a problem. Smaller glasses will fit inside. I find I don't really need mine with the rift. The touch controllers feel natural but there is a bit of a learning curve getting used to them. I really love mine. It's a must see for sure.

Amazing Tech

So long as your PC can support it, this is an incredible tool and gaming platform. I'm an artist and I use this for painting and digital sculpting. Tracking is very accurate, the controller battery life is very long and a lot of the best software comes bundled with the touch controllers.

Awesome!

I spent a month going back and forth between the Rift+Touch and the HTC Vive. I looked at every detail and weighed pros vs cons. I chose the Rift+Touch and am not looking back! To be completely honest, with a third tracking sensor I haven't had a single tracking issue. The touch controllers are great, with the right PC configuration all the games are fantastic experiences... HTC is just too expensive. You can get the Rift+Touch and a dozen + games (included and off of Steam) for the same price as the Vive and I find things like text detail to be sharper on the Rift. The headset is also much lighter and the Velcro straps are better for longevity than the stretch straps that come on the Vive. I haven't had a single regret since picking this up last month. You honestly can't really go wrong with either of them.

Beyond what I expected

I just received my unit today and I have to admit I am blown away by it. I never thought much about VR and it was only until the Oculus went on sale that I even considered it. It's well worth the price. I compare this experience to my first with the N64 and Goldeneye. It gives me a little bit of motion sickness but I feel that I am getting used to it the same way I did when I played my first FPS. If you plan on doing room scale VR just make sure you have the space you need a minimum of 3 x 3 ft. I had to move some stuff around but it works perfectly.
