More Information

Vivid and vibrant visuals

  • Samsung's stunning 4K SUHD delivers 4 times the resolution of Full HD 1080p at 3840 x 2160. That means you get a remarkably realistic and immersive home theatre experience with crystal-clear visuals, brilliant lifelike colour, and razor-sharp detail. You'll feel like you're right there at ice level cheering on your team as they battle for the championship.
  • Thanks to Nano Crystal technology, the radiant light of the backlight panel produces a wider range of stunningly vivid colours along with the deepest blacks and purest whites for a ton more colour expression than traditional TVs. That documentary on the Milky Way galaxy has never looked so cool.
  • Got a bunch of lower resolution media you'd like to see in better detail? No problem. Samsung's proprietary up-scaling technology can take your content and enhance it to near-4K UHD picture quality. So throw on a movie like Inception and prepare to enjoy it on a whole other level.

Smart entertainment

  • The re-engineered and super-intuitive interface, powered by the open-source Tizen operating system, will greatly enhance your home entertainment experience and make it super easy to navigate and access the vast amount of content available. YouTube, Neflix, Vimeo, CinemaNow, and whole lot more are just a click away.
  • With Smart TV, you get endless entertainment choices from popular apps and emerging developers. That means instant access to your favourite programs without having to worry about spoilers. And the fact that Tizen is open-source means developers can create new content, expanding your future entertainment options.
  • Its Smart TV capabilities don't end there, though. The JS7000 can sync up with your other Samsung mobile devices and do some really cool things like act as an alarm and display the time, weather, and even your daily schedule. Now that's smart.
  • As if that wasn't cool enough, sharing between mobile and TV is an absolute breeze with the JS7000. With the click of a button, you can go from watching something on your mobile device to enjoying it on the big screen.

Convenient connectivity

  • The JS7000 is equipped with built-in 802.11 ac WiFi and Bluetooth, which puts the "Smart" in Smart TV. Just connect to your home network and you'll enjoy content from mobile devices, popular apps, and streaming services. With access to web-browsing and social media, it's also a cinch to keep up with the latest news.
  • It also comes with 4 HDMI inputs so you can hook up multiple HD sources like gaming consoles and Blu-ray players. Talk about endless entertainment at your fingertips.
  • ConnectShare lets you watch videos, play music, and view photos using a USB connection. All you need to do is connect a flash drive to any of the 3 USB media ports and you'll be able to relive that home video of your kid's first steps, share photos from your amazing trip to Iceland or rock out to your favourite power ballads.

Other features you'll love

  • Dolby Digital Plus creates a cinematic atmosphere with up to 7.1 discrete channels of hi-fi surround sound. Connect your own home theatre speakers and relive some absolute classics like Jurassic Park. When you hear that thunderous roar of the T-Rex, you'll feel like you're back watching it in theatres for the first time all those years ago.

I bought the 60 inch version and it's fantastic

I'm really surprised with the comments re: flashlighting and judder.. I've had the 60 inch version of the TV for a few months now and I LOVE it. Screen uniformity is absolutely perfect.. I only had judder with two films that I watched and I just tweaked the picture settings to get rid of it.. I love this TV. Zero complaints...

I have had this Tv for months now and am still in awww with it,have a samsung 60"plasma now in my basement for my kids to pay x-box one and Wii u on and have this for the wife and I to watch 4k Netflix on,the upscaling is amazing on optic Tv to,I highly recommend this Tv..

Poor refresh rate makes this sports unwatchable

Picture is great for only a few applications, as soon as you throw on a hockey game you'll get black bars down the screen due to the low refresh rate (it's only 60hz by the way, 120 is not the true refresh rate) Returned and bought the 50" Sony with a 120Hz refresh rate at the same price, was more than happy to those 5" viewing area for something that actually looks great for everything i watch.

Not so Good

Purchased this TV had to return . Horrible Judder watching movies and Sports. The picture jumps when there is a zoom in shot .But Color is Awesome. This is 60HZ TV. Don't be fooled by Motion Rate 120. Just a marketing gimmick. Refresh Rate is very slow. I was very disappointed with this TV.

Great Picture but light bleeding (flashlighting)

The picture is pretty great. The level of detail is amazing even when watching TV at 1080i or 720p due to the upscaling. There is some moderate light bleeding from the edges of the screen which is a bit of an issue for this TV by the sounds of it. The light issue is worst at night which is too bad, Not sure if it is worth returning it for. It really is my only complaint.

Already on my third and this will be the last one I have to return. Major light-bleeding with the first one. The second one had slightly less light-bleeding but it made up for it with 3 annoying blue dots on the screen. Finally, the third one, only a couple of blue dots but this time even more light-bleeding than the first one! Obviously I should have done my homework first and read the reviews on first and would have discovered that the right tv for my needs in the same price range was the Sony XBR55X850C. Needless to say this is the tv I'm getting next. I was really surprised when the first Samsung turned out to be a lemon but was told it was just "a bad batch"! My friends and I laughed when we saw the second one was also a piece of crap but now with a THIRD (probably misspelled in this case) highly defective unit sitting in my living room, it's just plain ridiculous no matter which way the good people at Best Buy are trying to spin it! Fool me once: shame on you! Fool me twice: shame on me! Fool me thrice: never again, Samsung!

Awesome bright picture quality.

Don't buy it

I've purchased (and returned) 2 units of this model. Both had terrible flashlighting/light bleeding, to the point where the TV was unwatchable in the dark. Sports look really bad on this TV due to motion blurring. If you get a good unit and don't watch sports, the colour and image clarity is very good.

Blue dots are very disappointing.

Overall, I like the TV. But, after all the work getting it home and installing it, I discovered five blue dots on screen. They are intermittent but I don't think they are going to go away. It is very annoying that I am going to have to return this TV.

Blinded by the sun

Bought this with the sony non-4k. Watch movies on both. Eyes got really tired with this one, colours are great but they dont seem real. Sony is easy on the eyes and even the non-4k tv has incredible detail, almost as good as this one. The tizen is ok, i prefer the Sony's android OS. Build quality and design is ok. A very average 55 inch, bought it only cause the Sony equivalent was sold out.

How far we have come

Its funny how things have progressed. I remember the days when we thought that a 32 inch screen was considered a big thing and that you needed a team of people to move it.i can not say anything bad about this TV the colors on this screen have got to be the best. all i can say is get it

Excellent TV!

Excellent picture. Endlessly customizable. I used colour calibration settings found on Internet for this model and am so happy with the results. The soap opera effect is a result is the Auto Motion Plus that reduces juddering. I turned this down to 2 and found that I could mostly eliminate juddering without causing a noticeable soap opera effect. There is no DD 5.1 pass through so I hooked up the optical audio from my Apple TV directly to my home theatre receiver while the video is hooked up to the tv through HDMI. This means the in-TV apps can only output audio from the tv speakers. It would be nice to use the tv as the hub and hook up everything to the tv and then pass DD 5.1 to the receiver but few TVs do this. I read you can buy an external hdmi switch box to do this but I am happy with my current set up for now. The picture is spectacular with amazing colour, dark darks and nice contrast. Some reviews say the blacks could be darker and the contrast better but I feel like I am at the movies when I watch this tv. The upscaling makes my streamed HD content look great. The 4K content on YouTube is even better. Overall I would recommend this tv to anyone thinking of purchasing it.

Best TV ever

I believe this js7000 is the best that Samsung has to offer, considering the price difference between the js8500 and the js7000. The js7000 has full array which gave the TV a more unified black and deeper colour which the js8500 didn't seem to have. I would highly recommend this TV for anyone looking for the best 4k TV from Samsung

SUHD 55" Amazing

I have had this TV for 3 weeks, Just amazing. I am using Bell Sat right now and what a picture. I replaced a Panasonic 1080p Plasma, and I was really worried that the black levels would not be on par as my old Panasonic. The black levels are perfect. I did a little tweaking on the settings but pretty much just plugged it in right out of the box. Can not wait for some 4 k content to come out so this set can show its true performance. I highly recommend this Samsung !!!!

Could be better

Pros Good upscaling from 1080p and 720p IPS panel, great viewing angle. 3 usb ports, and 4 hdmi Comes with bluetooth builtin Cons Judder from film apparent when smoothing is disabled. Only 60 hz even at 1080 Taizen is buggy and not much apps available, my older samsung smart tv had better apps, no spotify. Streaming from dlna server fails most of the time. Doesnt come with a smart remote. Tips Get a good antenna, over the air hdtv has better quality than cable. Get a good speaker. The other sizes for this model are using VA panels, better contrast but worse viewing angle. Excellent at racing games, when you sit closer to the tv, feels like surround vision.

great value/great picture

Tv has outstanding picture quality. Tv has slightly more input lag than the 240hz but still great for gaming and sports. Would recommend to friends and family to purchase on sale.

One word: Incredible.

If you buy a TV, buy a Samsung. Renown for their picture quality over their competitors, this Samsung TV does not disappoint. My previous TV was a 40" 1080p 120Hz Samsung, which has excellent quality as well. I was blown away at the quality of my 40" 1080p Samsung, but now I sit here writing this review in awe of 4K on my new 55" Samsung TV. This TV blows my old TV out of the water in every single way. The crispness of 4K is breathtaking. Only 4K TVs do you sit there in awe watching hours of ultra high definition nature videos on Netflix and YouTube. And this TV is no different. I would HIGHLY recommend this TV. This is the best TV I've ever owned. And the price for this TV is well worth it. There aren't many reviews on here, which is a shame, because you might be turned off to buy this TV. Don't be turned off... Do yourself a favour and do a simple search on the internet and be amazed at how well rated this TV throughout the internet. Get this TV. Now.
