Fantastic Fidelity

I've gone through my fair share of headphones over the years. These ones are, by far, the best I have heard. Then again, most of my headphones have been around $100. My beloved, made in Japan, Sony MDR-V500 were outperforming everything in its price range. They have finally met their match (sound-wise), with these Sennheisers. However, the HD25's construction looks cheap and plasticy. For the money these things cost, it'd be nice if it was metal, like the Momentums.

Superb sound

Don't let the "DJ" description put you off. These sound amazing...very crisp and lively. The sound separation is phenomenal. I deduct one star for the cheap-looking build quality. I haven't had any issues, but the plastic on these looks a little cheap for this price point. Nevertheless, these are probably the best sounding closed headphones I've ever heard.

Great portable cans!

These are fantastic portables. Compact, very good isolation, and great sound. Clean lows, rich mids and detailed highs. The instrument separation is excellent. The only sacrifice, a given for such a compact can, is the soundstage, but it's more than acceptable. And an impressive deal when they're on sale for half price.

Just plain awesome. Punchy bass, not bloated and doesn't get in the way of mids and highs. The mids are sweet and clear. Highs are present. Instrument separation is evident as well. Well worth the price.

Not bad.

I got these headphones when they were on sale a couple of weeks ago. Although on the box it says "designed for the streets", these headphones are not really that "fashionable"...that being said, it's not a big deal. The sound of these headphones is really clear, even better than my Bose QC15. They also block a lot of noise without using ANC, which is another thing I like. The ear cups are comfortable, and after listening music for two hours my ears are still OK. Unfortunately the cable is not very long, and there's no case to put these headphones in. Overall, T'd like to recommend these headphones to anyone who need headphones with good sound quality and don't care much about the length of cable.

2nd best headphone i own

I have five pairs of headphones and this is the second best sounding headphones. It beats the audio techinca m50, v moda m100, audio technica ad600. Without getting too flamboyant with the description, it just sounds clearer and fuller than the rest. When I compare the side by side, the others sound empty, not that drastic but its a subtle but noticeable difference. The only pair that sounds better is the beyer dynamic dt880 250ohm. That needs an amp and its semi open design so its not a fair comparison. I could sell the rest and be happy with these two. The amperior and the dt880.
