More than you would Expect

Dear curious reader, This keyboard is really for the organized person. If you write a lot of repetitive text, then I highly recommend this keyboard. Ex: eMail, Subjects of a list (Grocery, supplies list) It has more uses then I can possibly say in this review. Its Macro feature is great. I've changed keys I hardly use such as CAPS and ~ to CTRL+F4 and Alt+F4 respectively. Also, if you a keener, you can launch scripts or other .exe files. This keyboard is really underselling itself. Approaching this with the mindset of "what can I make this do?" has yielded faster text impute, navigation and better quantity and constant quality in my day-to day. There is no other keyboard on the market that measures up to the Steelseries standard. It is the only program that can have each key labeled in the program. I label many of my keys according to their new function and I can have up to 4 variations of said function with unlimited profiles. Worth every dollar.

More than you might expect

I highly recommend the Apex or the Apex [Raw]. If you are the type of person, who writes a lot of repetitive text, or if you are keen you can launch scripts as a .exe file. In terms of repetitive text, if you find yourself writing the same thing in eMails or if you are even using keyboard shortcuts a lot (Ex: I use my CAPS key as CTRL+F4 and my ~ key as Alt+F4) There are plenty more uses for this keyboard, but I recommend the Apex (The extra keys are worth it). I label a few of my keys and apply tape over them for protection. (Its worth it.) Compared with the current Market, they only keyboard that I have come across that even peeks my interest is the Optimus Primus at $[price]. That keyboard has screens for each key, with unknown functionality. Any other keyboard including Razor cant touch Steelseries, mainly because the Steelseries program allows you label each key in the program. Im my opinion this keyboard is underselling itself as a gaming keyboard, it is really designed for the person, who loves organization.

Best on the Market

If you are looking for a keyboard you will have more usability over its lifetime then any keyboard on the Market including the Optimus Primus ($550 Keyboard, with screens for keys). This is advertised as a gaming keyboard, but I recommend it for anyone who is doing a lot of repetitive typing. But, there are far more uses then just that. If you are interested you might as well go for the Apex because it has more keys. If you have any questions fb message me.

Love It.

Dont let the stiff keys review sway you... Some people just dont know what a machanical keyboard is. (keys are suppose to be stiffer!) As far as another negative review towards the lack of features... Make sure you download all drivers and software from SteelSeries website... Lots of Features!!! (I.E. Keys blink when bomb is ticking in counter strke/Can change LED Color).

Saty With A Basic

The overall features were lack luster and the key are very stiff. I was conned into buying this and felt I was duped. Much better on the market.

Very Good value...

Purchased this keyboard to replace my previous gaming keyboard - very nice layout; the lit up keys were definitely a bonus. Overall features were somewhat lackluster, but otherwise functional. All together, the keyboard is a good value. 4/5
