Canon Lenses & Camera Accessories:
The Canon Glass

Canon’s come a long way since we first launched the original EOS camera system in 1987. Back then the heart of the system was the EF lens mount, and the result of this ground breaking innovation was that, for the first time, the mount connected to the camera body in a fully electronic way. That connection allowed for highly accurate, real-time data transfer that put the focus on the motor in Canon lenses, not the motor in body of the camera.

Since that first innovation Canon has continued to go from strength to strength, now incorporating new and exciting technologies into the original EF mount design. Image stabilizer technology (IS) minimizes shake and captures sharp photos in many Canon lenses. Ultrasonic motor technology (USM) gives you faster auto focus than you’d find in any standard lens, and Canon’s Stepping Motor technology (STM) provides exceptional auto-focus and is nearly silent during video recording.

The selection of Canon lenses mean your photography options are limitless. From the Canon portrait lenses to the Canon wide-angle and Canon telephoto lens, Canon lenses are the best tool for any photographer dedicated to enhancing creativity and exploring their personal photographic style.

Photo Example

Ask any professional photographer and they’ll give you the same answer: In nearly every situation, shooting with an external flash results in more powerful and natural-looking photos. By delivering a broad spectrum of light, long flash-to-subject distance, and wide angle of coverage, a flash is what turns a standard snapshot into a publication-worthy photo.
