Very Happy with the 360fly and the support.

I've had this camera for over a month now and have been very happy with it. Activities captured: Snowboarding Theme park: Universal Studios Snorkeling and swimming in pool The only hardware issue was after approx. 15 minutes the flat base was put on the nose of my snowboard and came off with the swivel base. Luckily after testing with 2 runs we were trying with a selfie stick (A must have) it came off. We were unable to find it but had captured it flying off lol. I contacted support and they addressed the issue with sending a replacement no questions asked. AWESOME SUPPORT! I have read that the quality isn't good enough. For professional that might apply but for the average user capturing memories like this it's simply awesome. If I broke it right now, I would buy another one. They continue to update and improve the software, they have partnered with Livit but I haven't tested the live streaming just yet. Simply put, I love it.

Good start to 360s, some limitations

This is a good addition to the line of 360 cameras. The fly was easy to use out of the box and get videos onto Youtube in no time. The reason it didn't work for me is because there is a big black spot on the bottom therefore this is not true 360 degree camera. Also the audio is very scratchy. Other than that it's great and if you are planning to use this for action sports, then this is what you need.

Not worth the purchase.

The 360Fly looks nice and ergonomic when you first receive it. The packaging is sleek and it looks great. However, that is where the nice part of this product ends. There are no instructions on how to actually open the unusual packaging, and we ended up having to google someone else opening it to get into the package. Overall, very frustrating from the get-go. Once we got it to work, the app was slow to respond and has issues when more than one person wants to use the same camera with their phone. Making a password with one phone, does not keep the password when another phone connects. It prompts for a brand new password and the first one is instantly overwritten. No security whatsoever. The image was quite distorted for video, and although it looked better when we used the google-cardboard and our other VR headsets to try it out, the actual quality of the image was terrible. It has a hard time picking up any nice images unless the lighting is absolutely perfect, and even then the definition was too low to be used with any of our marketing. I'm sure the camera would be fine if all you wanted to do was shoot a quick photo in a backyard to show off to kids or grandparents, but if you want anything with more detail or definition, this is not the camera for you. Slow to respond, bad quality images, and not work the price tag. Wait until a better camera comes on the market or try one of the competitors.

Great for Interactive VR

This camera is a life saver for those who like building interactive VR, out of 360 pictures. I found it invaluably resourceful for capturing a 360 environment with ease without having to use additional rotation devices or speciality software like with standard cameras. The quality of the imagery is very good to use for production work. I'm impressed by the compact file size it produces and the ease of syncing with smart phones.

Much more than a camera.

Found the 360 Fly to be great camera that leaves little to be desired compared to other panoramic cameras on the market. I can understand that this is a specialty camera and is not for everyone. It's not a toy. It is not like a GoPro, as there is so much more going on with this camera. I have been using it for only a few weeks and it does exactly what I want it to do. It's perfect for mounting it onto yourself and go skiing. It comes with 32gb of memory so there is quite a lot of space to record quality video frames

Llot of potential

I got this for Xmas and decided to go for this particular camera since it claims that it's water & weather resistant, so I wanted to see if I can use this on a heavy duty drone. The camera has a lot of potential and is reasonably priced. I attached it to an 8 blade storm copter and the camera works just fine. I just have to invert the video during editing. I was a bit concerned about the weight load but it worked fine. If you're into drones, this camera is the perfect companion

Worthy investment

I got this camera to do 360 degree videos for youtube. Considering the large resolutions it supports and that pictures are being wrapped around, the video quality is really good. The camera has a super wide angle which is nice. Seeing all the features that this camera supports makes it a worthy investment especially since the next best camera costs more than 3 times as much and doesn't give you the HD option. I'm an amateur videographer myself, but this camera has taken my work to the next level

Quality Images

The first thing that impressed me the most about this camera is the build quality. The online pictures don't do it justice, you must see the camera in your hands. All the features I tested out work as advertised especially the infinite focus system. The axis and accelerometer sensors produce a really stable video. Having this camera means you can take unique pictures not possible before like putting the camera at the centre of a table and having a picture of everyone in the family. Overall I'm really happy with the image quality that this camera produces

Futuristic gadget

I bought this camera before the holidays and it's opened a whole new world for me. I love experimenting with all its featured and functions. I set it up in a park to capture all of the surrounding activity and a lot of people were slowing down or stopping to check out this piece of equipment from outer space! It produces great night shots of a fireworks show which really looks amazing when played back in HD. The camera is rugged enough to be used outdoors without worry and the battery life is good. I was really surprised at the clarity of various subjects at a wide variety of distance from the camera. Everything close up or far away looks so clear and lifelike. This is a great gadget with a futuristic and stylish look I really love. At this price, it's a great investment for anyone into photography

A Great Start to 360

360 video is going to make a major splash in the coming year or two, and this is an incredibly place to start. I've tried less expensive options like the Ricoh Theta, and more expensive camera set ups like 6 GoPro's on a 360 Rig... and this is an incredibly place to start getting your feet wet into 360 video. Yes, the quality is not what you're shooting on a phone because it's shooting all around you with a single camera. Yes, it's not TRUE 360 because there's a black circle at the base where it can't shoot. And I admit, it does have a couple minor bugs. But overall, it's an entry point into immersive experience video that's far better than a lot of consumer ready/affordable 360 video. One or two iterations (and perhaps a second camera built-in to make it true 360) and this may just become what GoPro is action videos.

Meh.

Really cool Idea, I love how the video comes out pretty smooth even though you're bouncing around when filming. but....the video quality wasn't really that great, still photos are not that great. Kind of hard to use since you can pretty much only use it though a smart phone. 2 hour battery life? really??? Really just kinda glitchy and difficult to use. The computer software doesn't really have any features except to let you view the video. No option to just take a photo, you have to record a video. The android app didn't connect easily or really work properly, I couldn't use all the features in the phone app that I should have been able to. I thing when this gets to the 3rd or 4th generation it will definitely be worth looking at.
