Only 1 channel

This was a waste of time. According to I should be able to get at least 5 channels. I only receive one and it goes in and out. I'll be returning this tomorrow.

ClearStream Antenna.

In my place I got 5 digital channels only (with amplifier on). I returned the antenna.

Clear constant reception

Tried a few antennas, Picked up 18 to 21 channels, channels would be lost or scrambled at times. This antenna is great when we got it positioned reception was excellent, no loss or scrambling. Really didn't want to spent this much. But it works great. Highly recommend

Great antenna

I live in downtown Toronto directly across from the lake, with a south view... no view of the CN Tower (it's behind me). I was able to get approx. 28 channels with this antenna, but I couldn't figure out a way to mount this high enough to get the channels to work. I ended up returning it after testing the clearstream antenna with built-in booster, which is lightweight and easier to mount (just taped it to my window).

Did not perform as expected. Range is not what advertised

  • from Richmond BC

owner used it More than 6 months

tried 2 other brand and cheaper one , doesn't work well , with none or 1 channel that's all, with this one , show 14 channels, of course , need your patience to find the right direction, but do your research, know where your signal from, It's in the web, then yes , definitely worth the money to buy, save you tons of money you waste on cable, I got CBC, Global, CTV, Chek, Omni,.. I think worth all the money already

Just brought and still testing

I got 25 channels with amplifier. Location is near Kingston and 401. TV room only have one direction to south with a door in the first floor. I tested CTV/CBC (720p only), NBC,CBS, ABC, OMNI1, Global. Signal is not bad but US channel sometime is frozen. I think it is not bad if you just watch these local channels but ideal you should try external one if it is possible for your location and home. You may not need amplifier if you can position well in your room or buy a longer cable. Price is a bit high I did not get PBS one.

Expensive Antenna for Few Channels Received

Bought this antenna this morning and returning it tomorrow. It's expensive for the few channels I was able to receive. I live in a suburb of Montreal and was able to receive only 4 channels. It's also bulky in size. I have an older antenna made by Terk and is much superior to this direct Clear Stream. Even with the amplifier, doesn't give a better result. I tried it in different rooms with no better results. No need to waste your money on this antenna, can get a better one for much less.

Works pretty good

Back in January the coaxial cable came off of my Clear Steam antenna that I have on a tower. I wasn't going to climb up with ice and snow around so I bought one of these. I live in the country near Guelph. With my antenna on the tower I get about 35 channels and with this one sitting on a window sill I got 12 channels so it worked pretty good but I am sure if you used it in an apartment building in Toronto it would work even better. A word of advice. Do not buy one of those Clear Tv antennas. They are junk

Amazing product. Well worth the money.

I tried the Philips Sdv6225 18Db Hdtv/Uhf/Vhf Indoor Hd Antenna at first. The television scanned two digital channels with it placed on the window sill, powered on, and with full gain. So, I returned that and picked up an Antennas Direct ClearStream Amplified Indoor Digital TV Antenna (CSM1-XG-CN). The television scanned twenty seven digital channels and one analog channel even without power and thus no amplification. Best of all, this antenna did not need to be placed on the window sill. So, basically, I would recommend that you save yourself the time and hassle of experimenting with lower quality alternatives and just get one of these. The picture and audio quality is amazing and I would highly recommend this product to anyone that is looking for a great indoor antenna.

This product is good for city's and that's it!!!!! i live in the country near Markdale Ontario and I hooked it up, called tech support and all i got was one channel.

  • from Toronto, ON

okay reception

so comparatively to the digiwave outdoor antanae this does not do the same. if you want an indoor antenae i would recommend others for less money.

Surprisingly good!

We recently cancelled our cable and thought we would try an antenna for sports and some local TV. We tried a few options and this was the best. It was very easy to set up and we were able to get 6 channels. Definitely worth the money as it cost less than a month of cable! Perfect complement to Netflix!

Effective and quality HD image

Picks up 15 channels facing CN tower from 18th floor condo. Amplifier actually cuts out all but 2 channels, so for me, amplifier was waste of money. Looks good and works as described. HD quality excellent.

  • from Mount Albert

More Than I expected !

I never write reviews on products but I felt that I had to with this one because it blew me away with it's performance. I live out in Mount Albert Ontario and have recently cut the cable. I purchased 6 different antennas at the same time to see which would work best and this was the winner. I was able to pull 11 digital channels with an indoor antenna... amazing !! It does not look too bad too. it sits up on the ledge of my Bay Window and I have the pre-amp and wire hidden nicely. I would recommend this product to anyone having issues or giving up with other products.
