Crosley is a Joke

I had a Crosley record player for a few months, then decided to buy this. Man oh man, the difference is unbelievable. This is a fantastic record player, especially compared to Crosley.

Excellent Turntable for price

Discovered my boxes of albums and wish I still had a turntable. Began searching for a turntable and came across this one. The company is very reputable, building microphones for Presidential debates, recording etc so I figured the build quality behind this would be great, and it is. Metal body instead of cheap plastic, metal platter with rubber pad for the records. By pressing the start button the record begins to spin and the tone arm automatically moves to the record, no accidental skips. Pressing stops does the reverse. The sound through my 5.1 surround system is awesome! The quality is near perfect, no popping or scratches and the sound is very full, much better than CD. First album was Rolling Stones HOT ROCKS followed by Elvis and then The Cars and U2. All sounded fantastic. Only flaw is the RCA cable built into the back is only 2 feet long, so if you don't have audio inputs on the front of your system than you will need an extension. Yes, there are cheaper turntables out there, but if you "buy cheap than you get cheap".

Great inexpensive 1st time user unit

Great unit, pretty straightforward to use and setup. Instructions provided were clear. the USB port ONLY works to connect to a computer with the software provided to digitize the records. It does not work with any other USB input on other devices like speakers.

Very nice unit

A few simple steps from the box to playing my favorite records. Best Buy's shipping was very fast. Only negative, the RCA cable is built into the unit and is not very long. I had to purchase a connector and another cable to get to the back of my receiver.

Review of AT-LP-60-USB

Good turntable that can be directly connected to the computer. The only problem is that you cannot monitor audibly the recording as you record it without connecting it to a receiver to use speakers otherwise the turntable works well.

Great value - works well.

This turntable is a very good value. Sound quality is great when played through a modest receiver and speakers. (I live in a condo so I can't crank it to 11.) I've played both old and new vinyl - including a few 180g releases. The only skipping issues I have encountered are with a couple of old albums that were a little dirty or had significant scratches. Sometimes cleaning vintage vinyl with a carbon fiber brush doesn't get it clean enough for this turntable and a more deep cleaning is required. I have tested the USB output and didn't have any problems. The included Audacity software is freely downloadable from the Internet. The software is quite powerful and as a result isn't always 1-click. No complaints from me as I like to be able to make minor adjustments to the captured audio before creating MP3 files or CDs. My only complaint is that there isn't a speed adjustment and strobe. I guess I shouldn't complain as most turntables with this feature are twice the price.

Vinyl rules ... so does this turntable

I bought this turntable online in January 2015 and it has been tremendous. I plugged the turntable into my Bose Wave sound system and the audio is great. There is nothing like the pop you hear when the stylus hits the record. Anyway, I wanted an affordable turntable as I'm definitely not an audiophile and wouldn't be able to appreciate the difference between entry-level and higher-level systems. This one works very well for me.

Love this turntable

Bought this turntable to revive my collection of old rock albums and it has been a blast. Great sound many terrific features like automatic start/ stop, my wife loves this feature as all that is required is to put a record on and hit start and the turntable does the rest for you same goes for the stop. I personally always use manual controls and since this unit has a cue tone arm up/ down button I love it, I would not purchase a turntable without a cue as I like to clean my albums on every play and that is a pain if you do not have a cue. The sound is great and I can use the turntable on my old vintage Sony amp or on my new JVC system thanks to the pre amp and switch. I have not used the recording software and do not plan to so no comments on that. A terrific turntable for the price.

Decent Turntable

This thing is great! Good price, built in preamp, and usb recording to your computer. It also comes with some various cables to plug into whatever audio setup you might have. It works perfectly and exactly as advertised. Sleek compact design is ascetically pleasing so it fits in nicely with your giant TV. I've read some reviews that claim they had skipping issues playing 180 gram vinyl, but I have several of these and they play perfectly. The sound quality is decent and could probably be improved by swapping out the felt mat for a cork one of getting a higher end needle. Obviously there are better turntables out there but probably not at this price point.

Great Low-End Turntable for Beginners

This is a great introductory turntable for vinyl virgins. Much better than similarly priced Crosley's. Easy set up - I was up and running in less than 30 minutes. Sounds great. Haven't experienced the skipping that others have while playing 180g vinyl. Well worth the price - especially if you can find it on sale.

Great table but 180g Vinyl skips..a lot

The AT-LP60 is a great, easy-to-use, quality turntable. The built-in preamp allowed me to connect it right into my home theatre system and I just love the fully-automatic Start/Stop buttons. I was sure this turntable was a keeper, until I put on some new 180g albums. It was then that the low-cost showed its ugly face. Because of the slight height difference in the thicker vinyl, and the non-adjustable tone arm, 180g vinyl skips. This is brand new, spotless vinyl so it's not a scratch or dust issue. Many others online have complained about the same problem. The skipping could happen one time during a song, three times in quick succession, or not at all. It's a total toss-up. And for that reason, I have to send this otherwise great player back. Regular/old vinyl plays just fine. Even scratched and scuffed discs play without skips, but 180g vinyl is this table's Achilles heel. If you're just going to play your old vinyl, pick this up. It'll convert your vinyl to CD-quality audio files or just play them if that's all you want. But if you're buying new vinyl, you will run into skips.

It's great and I would buy again a- it keeps my pizzas rotating at a gpod speed (not too fast not too slow) but has this weird arm idk what it's for. I would buy again though

great turntable

So far, no complaints about this turntable. We hooked it up to our home stereo receiver and it sounds great. It was easy to assemble with good instructions, and is easy to use. Picked it up on a sale and has performed wonderfully.

Solid Turntable

I bought this to replace an old Fisher turntable that no longer played at a constant speed. Compared to my old 1970s turntable this one has a noticeably smaller footprint. The overall design is very good, but I found that the felt piece that the LP sits on would cling to the records to I swapped it out for the rubber mat that my old turntable used. The sound quality is very good, but I noticed that the playback seemed very slightly faster than it should be. My solution to this was plugging it into its own outlet and not a power bar along with the tv, receiver, satellite box etc, and that seemed to fix the playback issue, probably something to do with the actual power going to it. The start and stop buttons are nice but I find that the needle drops down very hard onto the LP, compared to my old turntable which very gently lowered down. I don't expect this to damage the records in any way however. I haven't used the USB out features of this product so I can't comment on that, but if the playback is as good as it is, I can't imagine the output being anything but as good. This turntable is great value, and it occasionally goes on sale. For that price it's hard to beat!

Just got it but liking it so far!

So I got this record player on Friday (it now being Monday) and used it all weekend. It has gracefully lived through a pretty rowdy party and is still amazing. I hooked it up to a Bose iPod speaker/dock and I couldn't ask for anything better. I haven't tried hooking it up to a computer and probably won't but I am completely satisfied with its functionality so far!

Audio Delectica

The two first reviews seem like the kind of people who could really use Geek Squad. I found this thing incredibly intuitive to use, and awesome value for the price. Sure, there are better turntables out there if you wanna drop a few (or a lot) more bills, but this thing does exactly what it advertises with little trouble, something pretty rare in consumer electronics these days.

Top Notch

Considering this is my first turntable I am very pleased with the simplicity and quality. I was able to hook it right up to some computer speakers (with the attached AUX adapter) rather than buying an entire audio setup. I am impressed with the sound qualtiy and also the looks of this turntable.

Great Turntable

We've had this product for a few weeks now and have been really enjoying it. We got it while it was 50 dollars off which was a great deal. It was easy to assemble and small enough that it fit into your entertainment unit. We read the reviews on this site but decided to keep searching for other reviews and it turns out that this site has the worst rating while all the others gave it really high scores. Maybe people can't work the software because they are not good with computers or something. Give this one a shot, it's been pretty great thus far.

Too difficult to set up

Spent several hours trying to figure this out, the online manual isn`t helpful at all. Nothing is making any sense. I can play the music and it looks like it`s recording but can`t be sure as it won`t play on the computer.
