Sound great, but began to buzz

Speakers sounded great for two week, but now sound is constantly interrupted by loud buzzing.

Treated myself to a pair of these speakers connected to my Dell XPS13. Wonderful! Very happy with the purchase. A significant upgrade over my logitech PC speakers from a few years back.

Bose will always perform even budget speakers.

I have had harmon kardon with cerwin vegas so i know sound. For the price these little Bose speakers offer an amazing range of sound. No sub but for many of us in condos/ apartments the exagerated bass is of no value. A true sound however.. These little guys deliver.

Good sound but odd design choices

For the price, the sound is really good. I was surprised with how much bass there is for speakers with no subwoofer. My only issue and it's a big one if you're a gamer, is the headphone input is on the right speaker. That means when it's time to plug some headphones in then the headphone cord will be in the way of your mouse. Based on that, if you ever use headphones, I would not recommend getting these.

Well opened them for Christmas. It took longer to open box and unwrap them then installing them. SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE To install.time from peeling wrapping paper to listening to great sound was about 4 minutes 30 seconds. Wife loves her music that is a huge listening upgrade. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

Great buy

Sound is on par maybe just a bit better then other 2.0 speaker systems. What's really shines about this product is the clear sound and the build quality. Definitely worth the money.

Bose 2.0 Speakers

I purchased these speaker to replace a pair of aging Altec's. Very disappointed with these speakers, very shallow sound and no power whatsoever? My Bose Bluetooth Soundlink Color is a much superior speaker with great depth and power. I will be returning these duds and sticking with my aging Altec's.

Very Pleased

The richest, deepest sound you're going to hear without a dedicated sub-woofer.

Oy Vey!

I hate to be a contrarian, but these do not sound good - at all. Anyone who thinks they do has likely never listened to, or is unable to recognize decent sounding speakers. Yes, they are aesthetically pleasing (looked great on my desk!), but the painful, tinny "sound" that these things produce is an absolute joke. I had always been wary of Bose products, and after finally purchasing one, I know why - grossly over-priced / style over substance. They need spend less on marketing and more on R&D. Do your self a BIG favor - wait until the Logitech Z623's go on sale - few a few bucks more you get an exponentially better sounding system (I know - it has a sub). Stop drinking the Bose cool-Aid!!!

I love Bose products. Superior sound. I ordered these small speakers to enhance listening to music on my compter and they are wonderful. Deep rich sound and very compact. Would recommend these.

Fantastic Sound

I purchased these speakers for my office as I stream music online during the day. They are absolutely perfect, the sound is amazing and makes my day so much better with beautiful sounding music. I admit I am a Bose fan, I have a few items from them in my home and this addition is one of the best. Good value as well. I highly recommend this set.

Good Value and Performance

Typical good Bose rich sound from such a small speaker. Others formats with small speakers and separate woofers have tinny sound and overwhelming base Bose has much better balance and realistic sound for music or DVD s got two sets one for my lap top and my daughters as well. Worth the extra money for a great sound on a small footprint in a limited space requirement

Great Product, Great Value

The Quest for great sounds continues and stops here. I just finished setting up my office and needed some small speakers to keep on my desk. These are perfect, they fill the room with clean crisp and amazing sounds, definitely worth the money, and definitely lives up to the Bose name.

These speakers blend to my decor and they produce a great sound. I waited too long to buy them. The size of the speakers are perfect for a pc environment.

Bose 2 Series III multimedia speakers

The speakers are great--wonderful sound, not very big, they don't take up much space. My only complaint is that the wire from the computer to the speaker is not very long. I have no room on my computer desk for them. In the past I had the previous speakers on the hutch above my screen. My CPU is in a cradle on the floor. The wire is not long enough for the speaker to fit on top of the hutch. Since the distance is only about 4.5 feet I think the wire is extremely short. I had to rearrange my printer and put the speaker that connects to the cpu next to the printer. The wire between the two speakers is sufficiently long enough for the other speaker to remain on top of the hutch.

Great sound from a 2.0 system

Bose is known to have great sound, but it's hard to be sold on just the sound when some of the other 2.0 speakers are half the price of this one. However, I got them anyways, and have no regrets. Of course these don't sound like a 5.1 surround sound system, but the sound great, and it's even surprising how good the bass is on these. Yes, the 2.1 systems with a separate sub might have more bass, but without the clutter of cables, these are terrific and provide nice clear sound. I would recommend trying to find a mixer for your computer to play with the frequencies, but if you want it simple with a great sound, these are great. No regrets with Bose.

Bose Companion 2 Series III Multimedia Speakers

Nice looking, great size for computer desk, great sound for this price point. (I bought them on sale). Already had an older set my son uses that we've been very pleased with and have held up nicely.

Great Speakers

I just picked these up in Halifax today, and absolutely love them. Perfect size for my laptop, and the sound is excellent. I highly recommend these to anyone looking for great sound at a decent price.

Unsatisfactory sound

My experience with Bose products made me confident in buying these, even with the hefty price tag for what they are. I was unpleasantly surprised. The response is not even at all. There is a very artificial sounding accentuation around the high bass/low mids that is very distracting when listening to music and even spoken word. Throughout the rest of the mid ranges there are big gaps in the speakers' performance. Simply not worth the money. The hunt continues...

Very satisfied of the sound quality

First time to possess such a good pair of speakers. Feels like my soul is touched when listening to my musics.

Great Sound

Took a chance with these speakers because I didn't want a sub-woofer as I am located in a condo. Was surprised with the deepness and quality of the sound from these speakers.

  • from Toronto, ON

Best value for money

Absolutely love these speakers and very satisfied with this purchase.

  • from Richmond, BC

Well, a bit surprised.

Audiophiles usually make fun of this brand for hiding the specifications of their products (and as well as generally just having poor sound quality) but I was pretty surprised when I heard the demo. They did make it a lot better than their previous speakers and it sounds quite good for the price. Bose is finally upping up their game a little bit with all the competition popping up all over the place.

...purchased for my desktop, and liked the sound quality. However, somewhat pricey.

Great Speakers

Beats any other brand, bose provides high quality sound with these little speakers for a very reasonable cost. Would have loved an "on" light but regardless the sound is amazing for any desktop/laptop.

Good Valve

Good quality and full sound. Using for my desktop. MM

Best 2.0 Speakers I Have Owned

I wanted a good pair of stereo speakers, without a subwoofer, I don't need the mess of cables. The highs, and medium sound amazing. I was worried about the lows, but it seems to push the bass really well with no sub. The only bad thing is the cable to connect to the computer is too short to be of any use for a desktop. I might get a second pair for the TV/Computer in the living room. It has two inputs, with I appreciate.
