Far too many problems for this price

Let me start by saying, I really wanted these headphones to live up to the hype. While there are many positive aspects of these headphones, the Bluetooth connectivity is severely flawed and Bose should have caught this in the quality control testing. Anytime that I would turn my head to the right or raise my right arm the connection between my headphones and phone would disconnect (I tried 4 different devices, apple and android). On the up side, the sound quality is fantastic and the noise cancelling is possibly the best I've ever tried. Unfortunately, the consistent Bluetooth issues makes these headphones unusable.

I love this thing....

I've been looking for a good set of ANC Bluetooth earbuds for a very long time. I'm an earbud fan but I have sensitive ears and most either don't fit or aren't comfortable. As well, the sound just doesn't do it for me. In my opinion, nobody does speakers and headphones like Bose. Sure, you pay more but you get the best sound out of some of the most unlikely packages. I really hate wires, which made bluetooth a must. I wanted at least 10 hours battery life, (which these do easily). I was a bit worried about some of the reviews I read. Too many people said that the voice quality on phone calls was terrible, so that was one of the first things I checked. What I did was call my home answering machine, (yes...I still have one of those), from my cell using the Bose earbuds. While they weren't studio quality, my voice was clear and distinct and easily understood. I have made calls from some very noisy industrial environments and the people on the other end never had any problems understanding me. As for the rest...they fit, (even under my motorcycle helmet....which was another must), the variable noise cancellation, (including the android app), is an excellent tool. At this moment, I am at an petroleum gas plant, with a flare venting at probably 100db, and I can still understand the voices on my hand held two way radio. I'm not actually listening to anything with them, at the moment. I'm using them strictly for their sound deadening properties. I think some of the people who a disappointed with ANC, don't understand the concept. The electronics are primarily designed to reduce STEADY noise...machines, exhaust, fans, etc. the electronics are NOT designed to react so fast as to eliminate ALL noise. Random sounds get through, like voices, and some wind noise, (especially if blown directly over the earbuds). They seem to eliminate lower noises better than higher but they do a bloody fantastic job of all frequencies. They are comfortable as well. I've tried other around the neck earbuds and these are as comfortable as any of them. I really like the around the neck style anyway. The earpieces are very comfortable, but like I mentioned, I have very sensitive ears, so it took a week or so for my ears to become adjusted to having them in for hours on end....but now, the medium sized ear pieces fit like a glove and are barely noticeable. ....and the sound. They sound like pretty much every other Bose speaker I've ever heard...that is to say...just about perfect...and better than anything else...except maybe something else from Bose. A couple of things about me; I'm cheap and I judge expensive stuff to a high standard. I didn't want to spend a lot of bucks on some headphones. 100 was too much, but as has happened so many other times when buying speakers or headphones...the darned Bose stuff simply sounds the best. I paid full Canadian retail, for these, in Aug 2017. I've learned my lesson by cheaping out too many times and being disappointed. It was a real leap of faith to buy these considering you can't take them back if you don't like them...for hygienic unless they're stuck with them. I have connected them to at least 3 devices simultaneously, with no issues. The carrying case is excellent. I don't find them getting tangled. I didn't want retractable earbuds since I have never own a retractable anything that lasted very long. The cables seem very robust and feel like they will last. As usual...Bose didn't disappoint. I couldn't be happier with them. Maybe the battery could last longer. Perhaps an option to use them with an adapter when the battery dies would be nice. It does take over 2 hours to charge them, so that's something to keep in mind. The big question is; how long will they last? There are more than a few disturbing

With out a doubt they are the best earbuds ever and I have had many sets including 5 other Bose ear buds. I use them while riding my Harley and they kill all the noise so well it scares me as I can’t listen for problems. and when on the phone I can hear the other side fine but they have issues what with road noise being transmitted as well. They are comfortable but I have an issue with the battery pack turning and dislodging one ear bud on the other. but working on a solution for this issue. I do have a set of on ear heads phones and they work very well as well but they have a wire and the head phones don’t work well on the motorcycle.

Painful in some ears, likely reducing Noise-Cancelling Quality too.

I bought these on the recommendation of a co-worker (with the Bose Quiet Comfort 35 headphones) with the intention of using them both outdoors and in a noisy office setting. The only redeeming features are the awesome noise-cancelling, quick battery charging, long battery life, and surprisingly comfortable collar! Sounded like a great product. The downsides are anything more than the lightest of breeze (such as a casual bike ride with the noise cancelling turned all the way down) overshadows the volume - which bring me to the catastrophic drawback of this product not fitting my particular anatomy. I'm a rather tall man with a large head and *NONE* of the provided earbuds fit nicely - they allow a lot of ambient sound in ruining a good chunk of the noise cancellation. If you're not sure how uncomfortable the fit could be, here's my experience: 0-1 Hours: discomfort, immediately, in pressure against the middle of the ear (facing outward from the side of my head - not within the ear canal) 1-3 Hours: mild pain as the stiff fins continue to dig into the soft ear tissue 3-6 Hours: acute pain, taking them out is a huge relief (but I keep foolishly trying) ~7 Hours: excruciating pain, I've been trying for nearly three weeks to find *SOME* means of comfort and nothing works. So, if every pair of stiff sport-style earbuds fits your head then I WOULD HIGHLY recommend these (the aforementioned co-worker even purchased a pair is remains very satisfied). However, if you're remotely worried about them then find someone daft enough to buy these to try then out for a day or two in case you get the same pains I do without spending all that money. Final Thoughts: Since I cannot return these to Best Buy (open earbud policy, makes sense) I am left with a VERY EXPENSIVE self-tormenting device with great sound quality. If BestBuy were to offer me the very generous opportunity to return them I would, without hesitation, swap them for the more expensive Bose QuietControl 35 Bluetooth Headphones that I have since tried out and loved!! Until that magical day, I need to find a way to lobotomize myself or the painful ear pieces to render these usable. Note: I've had them out for several hours and my ears remain sore - you've been warned!

Not Sweat Proof

I bought the Bose Quiet Control 30 Wireless Bluetooth In-Ear Headphones 8 days ago. I liked the sound and the noise cancelling feature worked well but not as well as my Bose Quiet Comfort 15 over ear headphones. I used them about 6 times for running and today they quit working at 100% and wouldn't turn back on even when I put them back on the charger. I don't think they are sweat resistance. So I returned them and picked up the Bose Sound Sport Wireless In-Ear Headphones.

Amazing noise cancelling

Just picked these up after using the Bose Sport buds for years and can't believe how good the noise cancelling is. I work on a jobsite and they amazing. Cut out so much white noise while allowing you to hear the person next to you. I come up home more relaxed and less fatigued. Also fantastic on the Go Train
