They work. Period.

I bought my first set of Cactus transceivers about three years ago - at that time, the latest ones were V5s. I liked the triggers so much that I bought another set to trigger a second strobe and so my second shooter could also have a trigger. I've had no problems at all with those triggers; however, I will admit the plastic on the V5s is a bit brittle. I'm a professional photographer and the cactus triggers have never let me down. The V6 transcievers are a huge improvement over the V5s (they're also twice as expensive). The triggers are a bit bulky, but they take AA batteries, which is nice because so do most non-studio strobes, so it's a bit less backup gear to carry. The range is great - I've never had to use them far enough from the camera to "test" the strength; they've always just worked. The hotshoe connection on the V6 is also a lot better than the V5. The older model had a plastic screw-type lock that was really stiff and hard to use. The newer one has a lever that works really easily, doesn't seem to bump, and securely mounts the trigger to the camera. These ARE backwards compatible with V5s, which is awesome. A V5 will trigger a V6 and vice versa, the only difference being the V5 is manual only - i.e. you have to adjust the flash by hand. If you've set the flash up using a V6 though, one V6 can make adjustments while the V5 will just trigger the light. I say this because I have a second person working with me - I have control over the light settings, but the second camera just uses it however I have it set up; it works really really well. All in all, I can't think of a better value for your money - these are feature packed, backwards compatible, easy to use, and extremely reliable.
