The Best Average 2in1 Laptop

A pretty average laptop in everything it does. Nothing exceptional, which is to be expected considering the price. I like the design too. The only big problem I have is that audio, which is very bad, worse speakers on a laptop. No bass at all. Battery life isn't the best, I get around 5-6 hours with some video streaming and just generally having the laptop on (no strain) One thing I do like is that the fans stay quite 95% of the time, but they are quiet loud when they do come on. If you can afford to spend more money, I would just buy the HP spectre, it fixes everything that's wrong with this laptop.

Excellent Product

I purchased 2 of these touch screen laptops for business. I was a little concerned because I had seen comments about the screens failing. We have had no problems with them at all. For our requirements, they are fast reliable and the sale price was a great buy. I have always been impressed with Dell computers. I am thinking of buying another one for my granddaughter to use at school.

Great laptop for the price

Just purchased this for back to school. It is a great laptop for the price. Highly responsive touch screen, fan is not loud, quick boot up, decent hard drive size, excellent audio. I was thinking of buying HP SpecterX 60 which was about 1649 for same configuration + USB C. I do not have USB C in this as it is Microsoft Signature Edition. I ended up purchasing this and not regretting!

Nice laptop

Really like this Laptop, it's made well and the features that you get with laptop are incredible with good hardware . But laptop price is a little expensive in my Point of view but overall it's a good laptop.

Great laptop for the price

This laptop is everything I wanted. decent battery life, USB C, Windows hello (opens with my face), fast solid state drive, backlit keyboard, still has HDMI and older usb inputs, good sound quality, touchscreen, folds into tablet mode. If you want better battery and thinner laptop you have to pay more. Go for the HP spectre, or dell XPS 13, or Microsoft surface. But the thinness is not a big deal and the battery is sufficient, I have never run out. This laptop is good for the price and has many of the features of the high end laptops. The only con so far is the power button is not in a good place, I sometimes press it by mistake.

A waste of money

Less than 2 months of age, it has lost the ability to maintain a wifi connection even though there is nothing wrong with the hardware, according to diagnostic tests. After a week of phone calls with tech support (in the Phillippines), I'm about ready to give up and to drop it off at Bestbuy for disposal. A piece of absolute garbage. I won't make the mistake of buying Dell again. Nor will I purchase from Bestbuy again, because neither manufacturer nor vendor seems prepared to stand behind their products.

Would not recommend

This laptop would be great if the touchscreen ever worked. I bought mine and within a month the touch screen quit. I exchanged it for a brand new one and again, within less than a month the 2nd laptops touch screen stopped working. I would not recommend this product. Great idea, but the new software obviously isn't working for Dell.

Decent 2-in-1 for the price

It is a really good laptop for the price if you don't want to spend more for a mac or surface. "Tablet" mode has some issues, but you can't expect it to do everything you do in "laptop" mode. I have only had the tablet mode glitch when playing videos online (which is very disappointing), but they fixed after switching back and forth between modes. Touchscreen is not ideal for me personally since for school notes it is difficult to be precise, specifically when drawing graphs. I've been able to be more accurate on an iPad. Some white noise occurs when headphones are plugged in and no sound is playing, but it goes away quickly and I have had this with other laptops. I might have to return this laptop if I cannot find a stylus that will allow me to be more precise with the touchscreen. If you are considering this laptop I would check out more reviews on the bestbuy.com site and if you have a high reliance on the touchscreen it might not be for you. Speed and everything else is great.

Money wasted

I bought this laptop about a month ago thinking that it has a solid build and great specs with 7th gen processor. But its performance is below par, freezes every 5 minutes while playing a video or music. I tried replacing the model thinking that it must be some kind of manufacturing defect but the new one is also having the same issues. Not at all satisfied.

Dont buy!

Its my first time writing a review ever and Im not really picky in terms of computer so I want to let you know. Dont buy and if you do test it a lot to see if you want to return it, that is what I'm gonna do after ive spent a lot of unnecessary time & money on that computer. Got it, stopped working 1 week after, because of a bug of windows 10 they say, reinstalled windows 10 (after like 10 hours of phone conversation with dell). Now, the sound stopped working. + The fan is loud. I cant read in peace with that consistent medium-loud noise and then that intermittent very loud noise, really annoying. Its a new computer, and I'm not doing nothing more than using the internet on it... for now. I am glad I can still return it.

Touchscreen stopped working after a few days

Touchscreen stopped working after a few days. I was very disappointed. I thought it was a good laptop. I like everything else about it. The touchscreen is the only problem. It would work sometimes, then stop working, and work again.

Should I keep it or return it?

I bought this a week ago. I was liking this laptop so far until the touchscreen stopped working. Sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. I don't understand what's wrong with it. I am wondering if I should return it or not. I bought this laptop because i've been told that Dell is good and I wanted the touchscreen. However, the touchscreen fails to meet my expectations. Everything else is good. I like it and have nothing to complain about except for the touchscreen.

Light and Powerful

Very happy so far. Great price for these specs and build quality. If you ever want to do heavy audio/video editing you can always upgrade the RAM to 16gb or 32gb.

best 2 in 1

So far so good! I'm in the market for a solid 2 in 1 machine. In the last 24 hours, I connected it to a monitor, setup my wireless printer, download apps and extensions to replicate all my tablet apps. It's easy to carry around, lightweight, the keyboard is very smooth and easy to adapt. The screen is beautiful, its fast and all the hardware are solid.

Pricey but worth it

My last laptop lasted me about 4.5 years, and I definitely needed an upgrade, was a little hesitant to try Dell tbh. If you're looking for something that can run a lot of software but can also be fun then this is the laptop you should get. The metallic finish gives it a nice clean look and the 2in1 convertible feature works like a charm. It is a tiny bit heavier than say a surface book but the screen is very good, the audio system is a beauty and at the same time I was able to run software like AutoCad, Adobe Suite, and Office without any hassle. Overall, you get the bang for the buck.

DO NOT BUY

Bought this dell laptop, 2 days ago, has problems with detecting the dell AC Charger, the laptop will not charge. System freezes and audio has problems, playing music. Do not recommend. Terrible laptop.
