Do Not Buy, Especially for CF Cards

I bought 2 of these, within 2 months, a pin on one was bent, and so it was useless for CF Cards, and within 3 months, the second was erroring out and corrupting files while transferring CF cards, even though other card readers worked fine for the same cards. Oh, and the MiniSD slot stopped working after using it only a couple times. Avoid like the plague!

Very Slooooooowwwww......

While the card reader may be perfectly functional, just because it is USB3 don't expect any stellar speeds. I bought this to upgrade the USB2 reader I was using with the expectation it would be much faster but in actual fact I saw no improvement. I am an amateur photographer and I use SANDISK Extreme Pro 64GB cards which are rated at 95 MB/s. I was averaging around 33 MB/s sequential reads on this card. When I put the same card in a friend's Lexar Professional Workflow SR2 SD UHS-II USB 3.0 Reader - LRWSR2TBN, I was getting 99.57 MB/s sequential reads. Night and Day. Long story short, it's a purchase I later regretted.

Gets the job done

I've had mine for a couple months now. I bought it for my CF card for my Canon Camera. Eventually I went back to SD cards, however, I used this card reader for GoPro cards occasionally and have never had any problems. I don't know what the other guy is talking about...

Bad News

I ;purchased the product to use with my camera's CF cards. I had a card with a number of new images on it. I followed the instructions and inserted the card in the reader, label up. Nothing happened. I unplugged everything and tried again and same result. I took a closer look and discovered that the card was inserted upside down - the label should have been facing down. Too late - the card was unreadable. I don't know how to address any other card I may try to use with the reader. I would have given it a no star rating if I could have.
