Very good headphones

I love those headphones. I had Jaybird x2. I used them for 2,5 years. They stopped working. I sent to warranty and they send me back Jaybird x3. They didn't even ask any questions. It was like "here is your new headphones". They are my in trust list.

Burn out after 18 months

Bought these headphones and they didn't hold up to expectations. I used them while cycling and they would cut in and out despite being less than 2 feet from my phone (it was carried in an upper pocket of a backpack). After 18 months of use they suddenly quit. I contacted technical support and they said that I charged them on a usb port with too high of a current and left them connected for too long. Problem was that none of this was in the manual. Don't waste your money.

Jaybird X3's do not disappoint

I got the X3's about two weeks ago and I absolutely love them. They hold a good charge, have great sound and perfect fit. I recommend using the foam over the silicone (for a better fit) and using the X3 app to get the audio settings perfect. You have to tinker with these things but once you're set up, it's flawless. Great sound from these earphones too. I only have to put them at midrange to drown out everything around me but not make it so noisy or loud that it hurts my ears. They really stay in my ears for working out or running and are as light as can be, I hardly even feel them in. For a tighter, more snug fit, you can use the clip included in the package to make it so the cord doesn't flop around or bounce if you're running. Very, very pleased with these headphones, the sound is unreal and such a great price for wireless freedom for working out, travelling or just studying.

Flaking paint, no support

Paint will flake off the earphones in hot humid environments. Mine happened to two separate pairs while sitting on the beach in the Caribbean. I thought the first time was a fluke, exchanged them at the store. Second time, they told me to contact Jaybird. Support is basically non-existent. It took them seven months to return an email. Very very bad experience.

terrible fit

I tried all the tips and could not get the headphones to fit and stay in my ears. I could hear the surrounding sounds and could not enjoy my music. Also, I was given bogus info on their return policy, by two different staff persons.

Great

They work so good. Vary good sound and there my number one buy. Good range could be better. I will ceap buying their x series and can't wait for the x4s to come.

Poor fit

Sound quality is ok but you must download the app or its terrible. The fit is awful. I have tried every combination of fins, ear tips and over the ear/ under the ear. I am constantly having to stick them back in after they fall out simply by picking something up off the ground.

stopped working after 4 months

The earphones have good sound quality for any type of music you listen to, especially rap or hip-hop, but they just stopped working 4 months after i bought them and they wouldn't charge either. I did use them almost every day but i kept them so nice and took care of them. I don't know why they stopped working. They also aren't cheap so i thought they would last way longer than 4 months. I'm disappointed.

It was ok for about 6 months then failed

I used these headphones for the gym, they're not really comfortable, the battery was good in the beginning then deteriorated quickly. After 6 months of light use the power on button stopped working. I wouldn't buy again from this company, I rather spend a bit more and buy Bose headphones.

Stay Away

My first pair Jaybird X2 were amazing in sound and durability. I gave them away after constant use for over two years. The person that I gave them to, tells me they are still working fabulously. Well, after departing from those X2, I had to get new ones for myself, right?, so I opted for the Jaybird X3, one would think "new and improved generation"... big mistake! Not sure where Jaybird went wrong with the new generations of headphones. Not matter what they call them (Freedom, Freedom 2, X3, etc.) they are all useless after a very short while. Just stay away from Jaybird headphones and do not waste your money, or even your time dealing with their customer service. Do you research and invest on a solid brand. Myself? I ended up with a pair of BOSE.

Only one chance to make a 1st impression —Jaybird failed miserably

Bought these for my son’s birthday. Connected easily enough. Started listen to music and they worked as long as his iPhone stayed at chest height. Any lower and the sound cut out. Absolute garbage. Returned them for a pair of Bose Soundsport and was happy.

Try another model or brand

At first I was thrilled with these headphones. The app, allowing you to adjust the sound, made these headphones seem like a really great buy. At just short of a year, issues started to appear. The rubber earbuds seemed to stretch and constantly fall off when I pull them out of my ears. The connectivity has also become terrible. I can have my phone in a chest pocket and the signal drops. So that is about 12 inches away and they cut out. Hindsight being 20/20, I would have chosen something different. It is always annoying when problems come up at the year warranty mark. As my first pair of Bluetooth earbuds, I'm quite disappointed.

Don't Believe The Hype

Maybe I got a bad batch or maybe the rest of you have a low quality standards but these are not all the rage that everyone made 'em out to be. I'll try to be as brief as I can. - When I first put the buds in, COMFORT was an issue but I just put up with it. - SOUND QUALITY was poor until I got the app and adjust the levels but I couldn't help but think it was a scam how the stock audio was so flat. Like who would want their sound that flat? Then after a while the sound didn't sound as good. Not rich, no strong bass, this is extremely annoying when you want to zone out into your workout. - CHARGER is really awkward. They had to make a connector to plug into a standard USB charger so it would fit the headphones. This could've been designed way better. - BLUETOOTH reach is not great. Sometimes I would leave my phone on the ground to change weights and I'd walk not even 10 steps and the music would start cutting out. No walls or obstructions in the way, simply struggled in close range. This is terrible. My beats by dre headphones would still play music in some cases in another room entirely. In conclusion, these ultimately failed on me. I charged them fully and went to the gym and they would not turn on! DEAD. After LESS THAN A MONTH. Stop bullshi**ing people and stop giving these hype just because you don't like beats by dre. Remember, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. So stop being cheap and cough up a few more bucks up for quality.

Audio drops out bad bluetooth range

Bluetooth range is poor ... distance from your pocket to the headphone it will often drop out when walking outside. Unacceptable in 2018 for a headphone to do this.

Do not be fooled- not worth it!!!

I thought I would give these a chance; however I should have believed in most of the reviews on this product! Not good what so ever. If you want something that will keep falling out of your ears at the gym, then this is your go to. They offer a bunch of different sizes etc of ear pieces to use, and none of them worked at all. Nothing stayed secure in my ear. Returned and will be listening to my fellow Best Buy product reviewers next time.

Heres the goods !!

So not one to do reviews but I do find them useful myself when shopping for some things I actually feel they do a good job at giving most a direction. So here we go I have 5 pairs of headphone and 2 wired and now 3 wireless blue tooth. 4 of 5 of these are all Bose. I wanted to try something different and save a couple bucks The reviews on the X3s were pretty decent so I said lets give it a go. Well they didn't have them so I ordered them in. Over christmas they went on sale so I bought them at another location because I couldn't wait as usual. Then when they came in I could just get a refund. So I took them out of the box and away I went , The fit was brutal for me and there was not a single pair of wings that did not cause discomfort. I ended wearing with only the foam expanding tips and they did stay in pretty well I train in many things such as MMA and in the gym 5 to 6 time a week so lots of different movements and that stayed in. Sound is pretty great I admit and the EQ you get with the app is usable which is a good option. The charging method they use is bit of a bewilderment to me and can see it as being a big problem when you misplace or lose it Then headphones are trash until u get another. What I did miss that is a nice convenience with the Bose is the abilty to advance repeat and pause music on the fly without the phone in your hand. This is pretty big for me because if I'm training I can just reach to my neck and its done. No phone in my pocket it can be sitting somewhere in the gym and Im golden. Some spoke about connectivity issues That was flawless with my iPhone 6 plus. As I type this I am listening to tunes on my just arrived Bose sound sport OMG they are amazing right out of the box I used the refund and a bit more and took the plunge again lol The X3s are a good set of headphones for the on sale price of 99 I paid for them If u find a decent fit and don't care about the missing controls ya for sure buy them. I have had the Bose soundsports on for 20 mins and Im sorry there really is a difference that is worth every penny.I took them out of the box and BAM they fit beautifully and without any pain. But if you have a budget the X3s sound pretty darn good The fit and comfort will be a crap shoot But if you can save a couple more bucks don't think twice the bose soundsport is that great Cheers

Good but terrible ear cushions

I like the sound, good bass and the customizable EQ through the app is great. But there is a serious design flaw in the way that the cushions grab onto the earbuds themselves. Almost every time I have to pull out the earbuds i find myself trying to pick the cushions out of my ears because they get stuck in my ear and pull off the ear buds. Is the correct size for my ears as no other size fits, but their design to hold the earbuds is a step down fashion meaning as you get closer to the end of the earbud, the smaller the tip gets. This means there is no way of locking the cushion in place and makes it easier to remove from the earbud. If it wasn't for that design flaw, I would give it 4.5 stars. But having to pick plastic out of my ears every time I use the product leaves me at a 2 star.

This is the worst headphone i ever had, 8 months after and they start having sound problems, really bad cracking noise sound, and im a really regular user, only for walk to my work, never used them as they are made for high performance people exercise and everything, just to walk. really bad quality and even worst the company, tried to contact them twice for the warranty NO ANSWER. no i will never recommend this product or brand.

Poor Connectivity, Poor Support From Manufacture

I have had these for just over a month now. At first they were okay. Sound quality was alright. The bass is not there. However now I am having issues continually with them not connecting properly to my phone. The Headphones Connected message continually repeats itself. My phone can be right beside my head and the music will start skipping then they will loose connectivity all together. I have reached out to their support twice now as it can not be returned due to hygienic reasons and no one has answered me back. I would not buy these again. I would not recommend them for the issues I have had vs the price tag that comes along with them.

fantastic!

the sound quality of these is great, build quality is super nice and the comply ear tips make them fit perfectly in ear. super easy to pair with your phone and the app is great for instructions and obviously the ability to adjust all the levels of sound. connect it to your Spotify account and they've got a bunch of playlists to listen to while working out . only thing that I noticed out of the package that I was unimpressed with is that the medium silicon tips that come pre installed on the headphones are actually warped due to the packaging. not an issue if you plan on using a different size or foam tips though.

Overpriced straight garbage

1. Poor fit The fit on these headphones is awful. Despite all of the included pieces, they all fit very poorly. I don't have strange ears or anything, this is the first pair of headphones that fit so poorly. 2. Sound The sound is like a tin can no matter what device you use them on. If you're on a phone, you NEED the app for it to sound normal. Then you need to sift through the garbage settings to make it sound even half decent. 3. Pairing Good luck. It took me an eternity to get these to pair with every device used (Pixel 1, 2, Samsung S6 and PC)

Pleasantly Surprised....

Before buying anything these days I try to read as many reviews as I can in order to get a decent cross-section of how people think. Sometimes you find reviews useful, sometimes you don't...I hope this one serves you well. Simply put, Wow. Right from the package they sounded pretty good, but after using the app to 'tune' them to my listening style, I have to admit they're better than I thought they'd be. The bass is solid, and the high and mid-range sounds can be tweaked to suit pretty much any listening style. If you're looking for something that will pump out the tunes and get your feet moving, these will definitely motivate you to keep pushing. From a music listening perspective, you won't be disappointed. When it comes to phone call voice quality, the voice is slightly lighter than I would care for, but I didn't buy these for making calls. If you're looking for something that will keep you connected but really do your music justice, get the X3's!

Poor Quality

Jaybird replaced first pair X2 as they failed within a year. Second pair Freedom lasted a year and experienced same battery failure. Very poor quality as you should expect a product this expensive to last longer and not simply be disposable after one years usage. When they worked the sound and fit were great ,however, due to poor longevity would not recommend this product.

Love them

Purchased a set 11 months ago and am using them daily for about an hour. Overtall, very satisfied and work like it is supposed to. Sound is good, I rarely lose the connection. Twice in all that time I had to reset the pairing but that was it. My replacement foams are still the originals although I did buy a spare pack but never opened it yet. I charge them only when needed, which is about once per week. Nothing negative to report. Would purchase again.

Don't last

When I first tried this product, I was very impressed with the connection, sound quality, build quality, and so on. A few months later, the problems began. Firstly, the silicon tips began to lose their tightness and no longer reliably stayed attached to the earbud. Oftentimes I would pull out the earbud and the silicon tip would remain stuck in my ear, or would fall out and get lost somewhere on the ground. I cycled through all my replacement silicon tips until they were all broken, and then requested a replacement pack. The issue is now occurring again with the replacement tips. I've had the earbuds for just less than a year now, and they have a delay between the source and destination audio. For instance, if I am watching a video on YouTube on my phone, there is a delay between the video on the screen and the audio I am hearing. Sometimes the earbuds will just power off or cut out. Overall, lots of promise, but you won't get more than a few months of use out of them before they start to wear down.

sounds like AM radio

I got taken back to the days of being a child in a 1986 Cadillac Deville. Listening to oldies radio station station that my dad would always play. "Strawberry Fields forever...." (ughhhhhhh). Absolutely zero bass. I read the reviews and i knew people were warning about this. But i said hey, there are alot of critical people in this world. NOPE. They were right. Couldnt wear them for long enough to get outta the house with them in. Hopefully, at the very least I can give them away if not get my money back from the store.

Do not work outdoor!!

Headphone keeps cutting out when running outdoor, when indoor the headphones do not cut out. Appears to be normal based on Jaybirds FAQ this is not acceptable. There is defiantly a flaw in the design of these headphone. I owned two other set of Bluetooth headphone prior to these jaybird and they never cut out outdoors. The cutting out makes these headphones unusable outdoor. It's just to bad as the sounds that these headphones output is awesome.

Cannot connect to Sony Walkman

Major disappointment comes from connectivity issue with Sony walkman (non-Android OS). Jaybird connects to my phone. The sound is OK for the price. It is relatively comfortable once you get the right ear-fin and earbud. Is it worth the full retail? Probably not. On sale, it's not a bad option

Not recommend headphones, not recommend BestBuy

Purchased those on multiple recommendations. The headphones designed really well, sounds amazing. However it seems like they designed to work indoors only. Once outside start loosing Bluetooth connection. Impossible to use while running. After first 3 minutes try had to return to the store. And there was a surprise! BEWARE! BestBuy won't accept headphones back once the package is open. This is ridiculous and Stone Age policy - you can't try them in the store, and if in some reason they don't suit you BestBuy keeps your money. Think twice before buy at BestBuy.

Poor battery life

If you'd like to make the jump from a wired to wireless earphones you need to consider the issue of battery life. The Jaybirds have a pretty mediocre battery life i.e. It does not even last a week for 1.5 hr commute per day. It was also because of battery life that I decided not to take this on a long haul flight because I knew it wouldn't last. Essentially, don't be saying bye to you wired headphones, this will not completely replace them.

Useless Outdoor

I should have checked the forums before buying these. Lots of documented issues of sound cutting out, skipping, etc when using these outside. My personal experience is that they are essentially useless for any outside activity. On my maiden bike ride with these the sound would cut out every 10-15 seconds for about .5-2 second duration. My mobile phone was in my cycling pocket located on my back within 2 feet of the headset and the signal loss was horrible. If I held the jaybird wiring so it was within "line of sight" it appeared to be better but that doesn't exactly make a comfortable workout. Went back to wired.

Amazing headphones.... but don't lose the charger

These headphones are absolutely Amazing! I've had them for almost 6 months now and they're my favourite to work out in. I've tested many headphones and I've always had the problem with them falling out of my ear during an intense work out. The great thing is that they have different sizes for the ear inserts so they'll have your perfect fit! The only reason why I'm rating this 3/5...... is because you're basically screwed if you lose the charging clip. Nowhere else has just the charger so you need to go on their website and wait 2-3 weeks for it to come in. While waiting, your headphones are basically a dud. Headphones would have been perfect if only they made the charger a universal port instead of their custom one.

Great fitting earphones

Love the wireless over plug in head phones, great for the gym or just walking around. Headphones have good range with BT up too 30ft away from my phone still works. Battery says 8 hours but I only get around 5 listening at mid volume. The app is nice to adjust the pitches but a lot of them will make the headphones crackle, I currently use the bass setting it seems to be best so far. Bass isn't as deep as my beats but quality is really nice. Charges pretty quick as well.

Ok

I find the reception spotty when moving and frequently breaks up. Fine when not moving. Sound is good. Battery life is ok. I had the X2 and think they had better battery life and stayed connected. I also don't like the charging system and liked the micro USB that the X2 had. With the decreased battery life a more convenient charging method like the USB would be better.
