You think they would figure out a smooth connection by now.

I have the X3's since June. I use the over the ear method to make it look less bulky. I use the foam ear tips and its surprisingly comfortable. The sound is better than expected pairing the app to adjust the sound the way you want it. The downside is you have to be careful where you leave the charger since its a unique type. And the bluetooth connection. Which is a huge deal. I'm using a Samsung S8 and the headphones cuts off constantly, I have no idea why. When I leave my phone at one spot, the connection is fine. Its only when I walk around. I hope they figure this out. Cause it's a great product, but its hard to recommend something that it supposed to do one thing perfectly.

Data slurping mobile app - CAUTION

BE FOREWARNED - READ THE MOBILE APP PRIVACY POLICY BEFORE USING!!! This is the best sound pair of bluetooth earbuds I've ever used! Seriously! The only reason why they get a single star is because of their mobile app. For anyone thinking of purchasing these you can't go wrong. But if you plan on using the mobile app, be warned that it will gobble-up all kinds of personally identifiable information about you, your use of the app as well as geo-location data (and there isn't even an option to disable geo-location data in Privacy settings anywhere). And if you choose to create an account using your Facebook or Google account, then it sucks up every bit of publicly available data from your social media account. This will include your entire list of friends! Do yourself a favour and enjoy the earbuds...but stay away from the mobile app. Unless of course you enjoy being spied on as if you lived in the US.

Best earphones I've ever bought

I bought these in the Gardiners Road store in Kingston ON about 3 months ago and I love them. I'm not a hard-core audiophile so can't give a technical appraisal, but I can say that the sound is amazing especially given the ability to customize the signature using the MySound app. I use them with the memory foam cushions and find them to still be comfortable and secure in my ears after 1/2 to 1 hour of power walking. I would recommend them to anyone. 5 stars.

Great sound and customization!

I compared the JB X3 with the Powerbeats 3 and Panasonic RP-BTS50... and am keeping the X3. The Powerbeats 3 has a very unbalanced sound, and while focus appears to be on the bass and treble it doesn't seem to reproduce either accurately. At higher volumes the PB also appears to run out of steam somewhat. I found them to be very comfortable though, and they fit me straight out of the box. I also had no problem with pairing to my iPhone and old Sony MP3 player and the connection is very stable. The BTS50 was a little less comfortable until I used my old Sony ear tips to make it fit properly. Once that was sorted out, the deeper (but not overwhelming) bass and more balanced sound highlighted how average the Powerbeats are. The larger driver handles the power well and never appears to be pushed near to its limit, but the sound detail again could use a little improvement. When the ear seal is broken in any way they sound awful, and I also found the battery life to be suspect. Their pair easily, but I found it easy to glitch the connection when moving around or covering the device. I wasn't expecting better from the JB X3, but out of the box the sound is immediately more detailed than the other two. Play with the MySound app and the sound profile can be balanced in any way you want (and there are lots of sample profiles so you never have to make your own if you don't want to). The entire range holds its clarity even when boosted or lowered - they are really good for a set of non-audiophile headphones. The one question I had before purchase was whether the bass could match the other two for prominence - absolutely, it's the most powerful and detailed of the three but only if you choose to set it that way. The fit of the X3 was a little harder to get right. The Comply tips make a good seal on their own but occasionally come loose for me when working out. The silicon tips just pop out immediately. I had to play with the fins for about 45 mins to find out their best position and how to wear them, but now the fit is very good with either tip and I can work out in them without much trouble. Unlike the BTS50, the sound is still good even if I have knocked them loose or not quite got them in properly. Along with the BTS50, the X3 occasional causes my old generation MP3 player to crash on connection. Both are fine once connected and always work with my iPhone 5s. It's harder to get the X3 connection to glitch than the Panasonic, but it's not quite as good as with the PB3. My X3 does seem to lag when watching YouTube videos though which I don't recall the from the other two brands. Overall the X3 offers great sound and a decent fit for the price, both for working out or just listening to music. If I didn't care about the sound quality I would have kept the Powerbeats 3 just for the exceptional fit and almost flawless connection stability - but I do, and the PB3 just doesn't come close. As a side note, the X3 does lets in a lot less outside noise which might not be for everyone.

Best sounding bluetooth in ear on the market

I am very happy with them. They are super comfortable especially with the comply ear tips. They sound really really good especially after you tweak the equalizer to your liking. They are durable and lightweight too.

Did it Again.

After many years of buying The big name brands of wireless, I decided a few years back to purchase a pair of blue bud x by jaybird. For just less than half the price of the beats studio wireless that I had, I was hooked! The sound was crisp with no distortion, the acommadating earpiece variety and noise cancelling accessories were great. The calling features are a bonus, and for the money I won't buy anything else. They have a variety of colours to suit the individual, and I have kept up with every model, even though there is nothing wrong with my first. The price deals are just to good. I have gone on to purchase the X2 and now the X3. The quality has remained impeccable and the sound is the best I have found. They are great to stay in when running, working out or just walking around. I will continue to buy and endorse. Very impressed with these new ones as well.

Ok headphones

Used them for some running and outdoor walking. Stay in ears ok. But definitely have to play around with different tips and fittings. The Bluetooth is what I'm a little disappointed with. If you wear a toque or put your phone or device in a pocket, sometimes the music will cut in and out. So that tells me the Bluetooth isn't as powerful as they claim. Example. Walking with toque on, earbuds under toque in ears and Apple Watch on wrist, music cuts in and out. I would imagine that once summer rolls around and I do these activities without obstruction, the earbuds will work perfectly.

They're great headphones, but you need to be patient with them till you find the right fit. Once you found the right fit for you, they Hardly fall out of your ears.

availability problems

Why is it that every time this item on sale it's sold out from minute one, but as soon sale ends they become available again? Seems fishy.

Love them so far

They sound great! They were really easy to sync with my phone and the app is great with a number of preset equalizer settings and a cool custom option. The fit feels solid and I chose to go with the over ear style. The only thing I can't comment on is the battery as I haven't had time to really test it.

No Stock

I don't know why they advertise a price like this when they clearly don't have any!! Typical Best Buy marketing move. Total Fail
