Over priced

The drives work just fine a bit over priced for me but they make a good OS backup Not really to much to say about usb thrumb drives they work till they dont. Make sure you use the eject function in Windows when pulling a drive out that will help keep it longer and healthier it's not meant to be a hotswap

Died after a month

Was pretty good when it worked. transferred files at a pretty decent speed. But after a month of use, it just died. No light, nothing. Tried disk utilities and it cant even see it. It's dead. I've read that it's apparently common to this unit as a few had suffered the same misfortune.

works, but not in its case

I picked up the last one available several months ago, while it was on a massive sale. Turns out it was slightly bent and you could not push it out of the shell. I have had to take it out of the case, fill it with movies, and then leave it plugged in to the back of the tv ... again, all without it's protective shell. Hopefully that won't be a problem.

Do not buy, you wil be disappointed

I have many USB flash drives over the years but this was the first to die within 3 months. Was busy and neglected additional backups and lost 120GB of data. Terribly disappointed and will not get replacement as I will purchase a better solution, than what this model offers.

Massive

Lots of storage and super fast. Bought it to replace my 64gb card, which was entirely plastic and starting to break..a few years after going through the washer and dryer. So far this one has been good, seems durable!

Speeds

To utilize the speed you must have a USB 3.0 port on your computer. Using this on a USB 2.0 or 1.1 port will limit you to the speed of those ports. I see time and time again of people complaining about speeds but they are using and old PC or older non-USB 3.0 ports. Product works as described.

Like a charm

I have 120 movies and 1200 of my itunes songs on the unit. It is placed in my Dlink DIR-890L,broadcasts onto 2 PS4's,X One, 3 wireless smart TV's,cellphones, ipads without a hitch. Visitors get password and they can pick and choose what they wish to watch. 3-4 units watching at a time. Has been working for a year and a half. I load it directly from my desktop when i need to update movie list.Very much recommend it ,at this price point is a great deal. I paid (price) for mine and thought that was a great price.

Beware!

After just 3 weeks, the unit wasn't readable anymore. Lost a lot of data!

Like the size

I wanted to back up files after having problems with my PC. I am a back-up guy but I must have missed a step during the back up & was unable to get a lot of my files back. No big deal. I got the important stuff. However, I had several gigs of photos & videos. Rather than have to retrieve them, I copied them to my Lexar so now I only have to search for the files. I like the encryption feature. It takes longer but great for important files.

very slow

It's advertised speed is: 150MB/s Read - 60MB/s Write. I have tested its speed many times, the actual Maximum speed that I got is: 28MB/s Read (max) - 13MB/s Write (max). The maximum speed (read or write) is not even close to 1/4 the advertised speed. It's also inconsistent, the write speed varies from 2 to 13. Very disappointing.

Useless

The first flash drive I bought died short after. The replacement I got works on and off. I had the same problem with some 64 GB of the same brand that I brought previously. There are good chances that the same thing will happen to you so do not store any crucial files in it.

Good and bad

Fast, lots of storage but very fragile looking case, no cover to protect from dust and any potential impact on the opening without a protective cap.

Large storage for a small price

Can't beat [price] for a fast USB3 256gb thumb drive. It works great.

Amazing stroage capacity

I purchased this around Christmastime, and I like it alot. Its loads fast and easier to use than an external hard drive. The sliding connector makes it easy to connect and keep safe. One dislike about this is it sticks out a long way (I have a laptop, so it can be an issue). You can catch it with a hand or arm. It is a minor point however, so doesn't affect my review much.

Good for music collection

I bought this to back up my music collection for use at work and in the car. The capacity makes it ideal for this purpose. I'm getting write speeds of about 40 MB/s when copying music files, which means it takes just under five minutes to transfer 10 GB of data. The drive does get quite warm when writing a very large amount of data at once. I don't want to risk burning it out, so I copied my files about 10 GB at a time, giving the drive 5-10 minutes to cool down in between copies. I deducted half a star for the above and another half star because the build quality seems flimsy for the price. The plastic case is very light and thin and doesn't seem like it would take much abuse.

Holds a lot of data, but it's slow!

I bought this to supplement a 256GB USB 3.0 drive I already have. I have been using my original non-Lexar 256GB USB 3.0 drive for well over a year. Moved all the data to the new Lexar model and iI was seriously disappointed in how SLOW this USB drive is, as compared to my original! After only a few days use, I reversed the process and went back to my original non-Lexar 256GB USB 3.0 drive so that I could tolerate with the transfer speeds. This is a USB 3.0 compatible drive but that doesn't mean that it has to be blindingly fast, and it isn't. This drive is always pausing on me, not moving data, which I simply can't understand and do not want to continually suffer through .. so this brand new USB 3.0 drive is now my backup, rather than my primary. I would have already returned it except it was purchased on the web and for a way better price than it is currently selling for. For that price, holding a lot of data is all I am paying for, not the speed to find and retrieve the data.

Awesome

Plug this thing into a USB 3.0 port and you'll see some crazy speeds! Best USB stick I've ever bought.

Graet USB 3 Drive

The transfer rate for photo & music files is reasonable at 20-25 mb/s. It is good for back-up storage at a reasonable price. I love it.

Lexar jump drive S75 256GB USB flash drive

It works very good so far. I hope it won't lose an data like my WD by the time goes by. I will buy another two or few if the price is affordable. It is very handy too and I recommend to new buyer.

Jump drive

This was a great deal and it is a very good device. I had a few glitches with it in that windows 10 kept giving an error that it was an unsupported device. But it still worked. Overall though it has been a good drive.

So far so good

Got this on sale over Christmas (excellent buy). Transfers larger files at around 80-90 MB/s, so it is much faster than the older flash drives! Even the smaller files like photo jpg's transfer around 20-30 MB/s so can't complain, as long as it doesn't fail like a couple of my Lexar's have in the past! My recommendation? Leave about 10% empty bc problems seem to arise as you fill them (Lexar flash drives) close to capacity. Lost ~64 GB of photos/movies/music on the green one, so nothing is foolproof!

Great Product

Granted I've only just received it, but am currently backing up large projects to keep on ice. Awesome alternate to removable HDDs and I have faith that they will keep much longer as well. I'd say great for archiving large files to put away in storage. Not so sure about constant use back and fourth, your mileage may vary.
