A thick blast of steamy humidity hits you front and centre as you step off the plane in Bangkok. Exotic palm trees surround the runway and the discussions around you sound like an alien language.

The thought of travelling to a foreign country always gave you anxiety, but not anymore thanks to your trusty LG G4 smartphone.

Digging your phone out of your pocket, you instantly connect to the airport's hotspot via integrated WiFi. With a blazing fast hexa-core processor, you're able to log onto your Facebook and Twitter account in seconds.

Once you've sent a quick tweet and status update, you load the 16MP laser auto focus camera with optical image stabilization and snap a sharp photo of the airplanes sitting on the runway. Your picture is flawless and doesn’t even need a filter before being sent off to Instagram.

You catch a quick glance at the battery bar as the "likes" start rolling in. You're amazed that the powerful 3,000 mAh removable battery is still holding a solid charge after 2 days of standby mode.

As you make your way to the baggage claim, you remember that you're supposed to give your mom a call. You finally locate Skype after flicking through your vast collection of apps. An extensive 32GB of internal memory gives you more than enough space for your games, music, photos, and social media programs. The call connects and you see your worried mom in crystal-clear detail on the stunning 5.5-inch Quad HD display.

"How was the flight? Where is your hotel? Did you get your money exchanged? Be wary of pickpockets!" She babbles on frantically. You quickly reassure her that everything is fine and that you'll give her a call when you get to the hotel.

You hang up and go off to retrieve your bags. Along the way, you notice that all the signs are written in a cryptic text. You pull out your smartphone again and access the Google Play Store thanks to the Android 5.0 operating system. With a few taps, Google Translate successfully installs on your device and you're already on your way to learning Thai.

little warning

I had this phone since oct 2015( 8 months) and the Motherboard went on it... so just a warning always back stuff up, as i was googling ways to get it to start again it looks to be an issue with these. But loved the phone other then that and battery life.

Great Phone!

Switched from IPhone to LG. I do not regret the switch at all! Easy to use phone with lots of features.

Love and recommend this phone

I changed my Samsung Galaxy S3 for an LG G4 in Jan. 2016 and I love it. Very easy to use -- much easier than the Samsung. Favorite features -- the dual window, the camera -- takes really sharp pictures in lots of lighting conditions, and the SmartLock option. As for the battery usage, the longest I managed was 6 days on a charge. I use it dozens of times a day to check emails, do internet searches, make calls, update my calendar, view favorite apps, listen to music, etc. My average recharge time is 4 days on a full charge so I'm wondering why a lot of reviews says that the battery sucks. For my use, it's great and much, much better than my old Samsung S3 which I had to close every night, otherwise I would have to charge it every other day. I highly recommend this phone and have done so to numerous friends and colleagues.

Love my G4

I upgraded from a G2 which I liked so well, to a G4 and I am happy that I did. Yes the battery life is not as good as the G2 but it is still comparable to other phones. It can heat up once in a while depending on usage but that does not outweigh the positives of this phone. If you are a DSLR camera buff, this phone in manual mode is AMAZING! Low light shooting either pics or video is impressive as well. I do not have any problems with the touch screen. The screen is bright and crystal clear. It is very responsive. This phone is fast! The keyboard is easier to use and far more functional than the Iphone 5S that my brother has. The numbers are across the top of the alpha keys, if you are writing an email, it shows the @ and .com keys so that you are not switching back and forth which I find cumbersome. I would recommend this phone and I would certainly purchase LG again! I will also say that there is nothing I miss by using an android product that I have on my Ipad.

Switched over from iPhone 6

I do not regret switching from Apple to Android. This phone is fairly easy to get used to. The camera on the G4 is amazing! it doesn't have a "home key" or finger print detection which I got used to on the iPhone, but if you're a iPhone user that wants to switch over its no big deal. You will get used to the functions of this phone in no time.

Piece of junk

This is a bad, bad phone. Overheats all the time, battery is terrible, it's shaped awkwardly.

Not a good phone.

While you may be able to get it for [price] on a contract, this phone is very bad. It has terrible battery life, and overheats a lot, even while doing basic stuff like browsing the internet or using Google Maps. There's touchscreen issues too. Sometimes my taps don't register at all. Only good thing about this phone is its camera but then again, I have other points on my checklist to check off and camera is certainly not on the top. Avoid this phone.

Great phone in almost every aspect. One major drawback is the fact that the screen is nearly invisible in lanscape mode when wearing polarized sunglasses.

Awesome phone

Awesome phone. Large incredibly clear, bright screen. Blazingly fast. Power button is at the back, however a good feature, as it prevents pocket dials and unlocking the phone when taking it out of your pocket. Have nothing negative to say.

A Really Really Great Phone!

This phone is premium in nature and it performs with the best on the market, in most cases, it is better than most of them. It may seem odd at first with the power and volume buttons on the back, but worry you not because it is very easy to adjust to. And the same can be said about the the earphone jack at the bottom of the phone. All in all LG knew what they were doing when they designed the LG G4 phone. Also, the video quality on the phone is amazing. And on top of the that you have a camera that takes beautiful photos. All in all, it is worth purchasing this phone over the other flagship smartphones on Android. At least this phone will let you upgrade your memory storage and you can also remove the battery and swap in a new one if needed.

Great phone

Always admired the specs and look of the LG G3, but it wasn't available when I had to renew. Settled on Galaxy S4. So when the LG G4 was announced, the specs all but sealed the deal on my renew. Running like a dream, really liking the leather back. The camera on UHD takes a fantastic pictures and video. Plays movies very smooth. For all those wondering about battery life: My S4 went a day, unless used heavy, then 5 hours. Under the same use conditions, my habit was to plug the phone in last night until I checked it. At the end of the day it was still at 70% (which I've never seen). I'm about half way through my next day and I have 56% left still. Very impressed. 2 minor quirks: had to get used to the on button being on the back, and the back being curved. Hard to get hold of in my phone holster because of the skinny edges. I believe this to be a wiser choice than the Samsung S6.

great phone

a great phone I think it's top of the line....only thing is it says in specs that it comes with earphones/buds but I'm fact it does not...I don't think it's best buys first I thought I got ripped off then I read the bottom of the box and it mentioned nothing of it on the " in the box"section
