i am a geometry dash player and i think its a great mouse. the mouse wheel is ok not the best thing ever but still good. i love how comfortable it is. as a geometry dash player i really like it

  • from Orléans, ON

Logitech is run by monkeys.

I tried contacting Logitech about the wheel, and all they did was offer to replace it with a different (very inferior) mouse because this one "isn't available for replacement." Worst support I've ever had in my life. Absolutely abhorrent. Logitech is run by monkeys.

the mouse is good, and all the features work. i like the mouse, but it came with a frayed braid on the cable.

It's got programmable buttons, but the middle scroll wheel is loose and clanks against the mechanism, making a noise when you move left and right. The middle mouse click is way too hard to press down, nearly impossible to do in free wheel mode, and very hard to do without accidentally pushing the left/right wheel functions as well. Overall middle mouse button is useless and doesn't work well. Regular scrolling is very clunky and uncomfortable. The clicking in noisy, and software for setting sensitivity is gimmicky--in adjusting the DPI it will jump to whichever DPI you're selecting, making it again, virtually impossible to adjust the sensitivity without the thing flying all over the screen. The cord is heavy and stiff and drags all over the place. The only thing making this mouse not feel cheap is the weight which is artificially added. Careful, you might get rusty weights in the box. Not recommended

Best FPS mouse I've ever had

This mouse helped me to improve my aim. I have medium hand and it perfectly fit when I use palm grip style. The sensor of this mouse is one of the best. Highly recommend this mouse to anyone who is into FPS games.

  • from St. John's

For $60 this is the best mouse money can buy

I have had well over 20 mice in the 30+ years I have been using computers. This is by far the best one I have ever used.

Awkward and bad wheel

It's awkward in the hand. It feels too narrow and has to be held with more force than I'd like to. I still haven't found a comfortable hand position. When browsing, it's not so bad but when gaming, it's annoying. I also had to deactivate the DPI UP button because it's so close to the left click that I kept hitting both all the time. The wheel is made of metal, it's heavy and slippery. In indexed mode, half the time the finger will just slide over the wheel instead of turning it. If you use it in freewheel mode, well good luck, it will move all the time when you don't want it to. Also the middle click requires too much force. Not recommended!

I can bind anything I want to a macro and it works very well. Overall, this is a very good mouse and I would recommend it to anyone. The only problem to me would be the mouse wheel, since it does not move smoothly, but it is not unusable and you can still use it, so it is a small flaw.

G502 Proteus Core Review

Bought the mouse recently when it was on sale during Black Friday for a dang good price. Starting off with the packaging. The box itself is really small and as such, it's packaged in a way so that it condenses everything. One thing that was either overlooked or simply skimped on however is the magnet that is holding the extra cover closed. It is pure laziness to hold it in with a piece of tape, giving off no signs of its purpose. The appearance of the magnet itself is extremely close to the batteries used with watches and as such, easy to mistake with having a function to the mouse itself. The mouse feels really nice but it took a few days to get used to. The reason being however that I have really small hands, therefore I had to move my palm higher up than what I was used too. With the first few days of usage, my palm was left sore but after getting used to it, there was no problems. The top half of the mouse is slightly angled to the right so that also took a minor adjustment to get used to it, the positive side to this however, is that this forces the thumb to be placed on the sniper button. The left mouse click is also slightly curved in what I feel to be the perfect amount so that the DPI switches are not pressed accidentally. The buttons themselves feels really nice to use and it's obvious when they are pressed. The wheel feels really good due to the steps and the free scroll feature is really nice to navigate long pages/documents. So far, there have been no problems with the sensor however it's too early to actually tell. The weights are also really nice as I find that a heavier mouse makes for an easier time with precision aiming (I play quite a bit of CS:GO). There is a bit of a minor gripe however. The insertion of the weights are a pain in the ass. When inserting, they need to be, practically, shoved in. The only way to tell that they have been inserted correctly is by checking if the weight door hugs the mouse after placing it back. While I haven't actually felt the need to remove the weights after placing them in, I've read how some people ended up using screwdrivers to pull the weights out. The software is extremely helpful as it not only allows for the re-assigning of buttons but also the assignment of up-to five different DPI shifts on three different profiles with both of them having the option of being deactivated in order to prevent accidental screw ups in the middle of precision work. If you feel that the DPI lights are an annoyance, you can set the mouse so that it turns those off automatically when adjustments are not being made and also adjust the brightness of the G. There is even a page to select what mouse pad is being used and if not, add a mouse pad to calibrate the sensor to whatever is being used. Some people have had issues with the skates on the mouse due to it coming off, or an edge sticking out. So far, and hopefully never, I haven't had the problem.

One of the best

The mouse's size and shape allow it to be gripped very nicely and the weight adjustments allow you to make it perfect for your "feel". buttons are placed nicely and easily customizable to your needs. solid sensor for great tracking. the mouse does take some getting used to but once you have it fitted to you and have gotten comfortable with it it really shines.

Great Mouse

This is the gold standard of gaming mice. If you're debating getting a gaming mouse, stop, you've found what you're looking for.

  • from Thornhill, ON

Not worth the value and poor build quality.

First of all I owned a lot of different mice. G502,G600,Death adder, Sensei raw, Kone XTD, Corsair M60, SS WOW MMORPG Mouse, FK1, FK2, some other mice I don't know their name well. Anyways, This mouse is pretty comfortable compared to other mice but there is a flaw. Really huge flaw I would say. the mouse wheel shakes if you move your mouse left and right fast. when you scroll wheel, it some times trigger left or right mouse wheel button. So you can't really use it well. Another big problem for me is that this mouse it heavy... even with all the weights removed. DPI Shift button is also too far away. Things I liked about this mouse is that I loved the sensor. It's really great. One of the best I have used. If not the best. The friction less scroll wheel doesn't work that well but it can be really handy. The matte feel texture on the mouse is real nice too unlike shiny, slippery plastic. braided cable is always a good thing. In conclusion, if I wasn't playing FPS games like CS GO or Day of Defeat Source, I would keep my mouse but I am going to go for another mouse. Probably SS Rival. I gave 4 stars because the software was easy to use and it's a decent mouse without those flaws I pointed out.

Perfect in almost every way

Very nice mouse. The buttons are very well places, it has a really nice grip, and it just feels so natural to use. The weights that come with it are also very useful, I use them a lot to make sure my mouse works just as I want it to. The mouse is a little small, but I have really big hands so for most normal sized people, It should fit perfectly. The infinite scrolling is also an awesome feature that I use all the time. This is the ultimate gaming mouse, if you're looking for the best of the best, this is it.

  • from Scarborough, ON

Great Mouse For All Types of Games

This mouse is all around amazing and it is suitable for any type of game from CS:GO to League of Legends. Although I feel like the mouse is already heavy enough without the weights making them pointless for me, but it might be good for some people. It's just overall well thought out and made.

Great purchase

Bought in Black Friday sales and its great value for that price. My hand lies flat on mice, not going up into a claw, and this is a great mouse for that kind of hold. The added weight you can put on, and the way you can change the speed of the mouse across the screen makes for a great hand feel experience. And the cord isn't exposed plastic, even better!

I bought this to replace my G500 and it hasn't disappointed so far. I kind of liked the button placement on the G500 better, but it might just be because I got used to it. The right mouse button clicks a little strangely but it's probably because it's such a big button. It might also be because of the way I grip. Having said that, the tracking is absolutely flawless.

Does not work on Mac

I bought this mouse to game on my mac. I plugged it in and started to work perfectly fine until i downloaded the gaming software. My mouse stops working, although i do imagine that is a very good mouse with its customizable weights and dpi settings. All in all if you were to buy it on a mac just dont, i would recommend a steelseries mouse as it is completly supported on mac.

  • from Kingston, ON

Love it

I have been on a quest ever I was able use a computer. Finding the mouse that fit me perfectly not only in palm fit, adjustable weight and price but features that seemed like they were made for me, with no unusable buttons that I find with so many other mice. Design is an excellent balance of sleek and functional. I will be purchasing another for our second computer.

Simply The Best

I am very picky when it comes to gaming mice. I tried 4 before I came to this one from many different companies and this mouse was by far the best. I have fairly large hands and despite it being a smaller mouse it fits perfectly and comfortably. The only downfall of purchasing this price is currently the price . When I bought it, it was only about [price] and jumped up for some reason. All Logitech products have in the last little bit however I still am a firm believer that it is 100% worth the little investment you have to do. I programmable buttons are great and accessible, the scroll wheel has 2 settings which I love in case im playing a game where I need to change weapons with the scroll wheel quickly, and the comfort of this mouse is ridiculously good. So probably a 9.5/10 due to the price but worth it 100%. Also the Logitech software is so easy to use its crazy. I had tried razer mice, steel series mice and I finally came across this and I haven't been happier.

Best laser tracking mouse on the market.

This mouse is amazing the laser tracking is easily the best on the market. For someone who plays CS:GO all the time i'm global elite and i switched to this mouse from a deathadder chroma, this mouse is so much better you wont be disapointed with this mouse!

Great mouse, do some video research

The Logitech G502 Proteus Core Tuneable Gaming Mouse is one of the best on the market. I am someone who does my research and isn’t afraid to try out 3 or 4 mice before I find the one that is right for me. In my research a stumbled on a video by “I Drew some reviews” that really detailed all the spec and what they really mean. Too many review videos are little more than an unboxing and a photoshoot, it is nice to see a video that takes the time to explain the real details. I could not be more happy with my purchase, I would highly recommend this mouse, it is the best one I have found.

Amazing,Comfortable and Reliable

The bottons are put in such comfortable places and very easy to reach. Its weight system is also something to note aswell. Amazing mouse with an amazing price. Worth getting.

Perfect and great value

This was a replacement for my old G5 and it has proved to be a more then adequate replacement. It is as tunable as my G5 was and has that perfect "full size" feel. I would buy this product again if needed.

Great gaming mouse!

Just bough this gaming mouse recently and it is just amazing! Fits perfectly for my claw-style grip and the aesthetics on it look beautiful. The scroll-wheel and rubberized textures make it feel even better when in use. Also the mouse is quite sturdy and the customizable weights and location of the programmable buttons makes it even better. All in all, a good buy.

  • from Woodbridge, ON

A great mice but some issues.

An amazing mice that allows you to basically reprogram your buttons to do whatever you like! The shape, ergonomics may not be fitting for everyone so be sure you take the time to visit your nearby store and put your hand on it to give you a good feel of if you are comfortable with the shape or being able to adapt to it in time, or not (I was able to adapt to it in about a day's worth of gameplay. I wear a Men's Medium glove if you are wondering). With 3 different profiles, you can set up to 5 different DPI settings, starting from 200 DPI to an UNCONTROLLABLE 12,000 DPI! Yep, it can be confusing and difficult to move the mouse at such a ridiculously high setting! I play at 400 DPI and it suits me just fine for a low sens FPS gamer. The issue I have with this mice are mainly 2 things: The mouse feet and the sensor, which I will explain each. Mouse feet: There are reports of the feet slipping and peeling off after some use and I noticed for mine, it is catching dust rather quickly and the feet appears to be slipping and easily pushed to different angles. It's probably my mice though as others said their mice are about fine. And the sensor issue... Well it's one issue that I noticed as I was playing competitive shooters and a casual survival zombie FPS game. If I were to move the mice side to side rather quickly (Like performing a flick shot for example), the mice MAY, not often as it happens kinda rarely but when it does happen, spazzes out and instead of looking at the side you intend to look at, you will be looking at the sky/roof or the floor! As of the time of this writing, I am in talks with the company's support team to resolve these issues mentioned but assuming that the feets are fine and the sensor doesn't spaz out, it is THE BEST MOUSE EVER. But with the 2 mentioned issues from my experience, I have to drop a star on it, but don't let that stop you from purchasing this magnificent mouse though! I am sure the support team WILL resolve the issues mentioned in the near future, but for now, I will continue to learn and enjoy this mice, and as well as providing feedback to the support team. 4/5!
