Not Bad When On Sale

The keyboard is fully mechanical and pretty sturdy, I'm typing on it right now. But the sad part is the key caps, one of them already broke off after about 3 months use. But I have contacted logitech and they are sending me replacement key caps which will arrive in about 2 weeks. For 80 cad its really amazing, genuine cherry mx switches and individual key back lighting. Its really quite a high end keyboard. One of my friends even said he just buys the keyboard for the switches, since its cheaper. If you are wanting to buy a mechanical keyboard and and your not quite sure what keyboard or switch to get, this is a great starter keyboard! The cherry browns switches are quite nice, not as tactile as blues and not as smooth as reds but it is still as light as reds and still tactile, a great in the middle switch for typing and gaming. Hopefully you know what you want when buying a keyboard so that you don't regret getting that switch or lighting. Cheap and probably the best for this price. Highly Recommended.

Won't last, stay away

The plastic on this keyboard keys is too weak. Cracks when squeezed by a finger. First keys will fall off, then wont fit in after the plastic stem breaks completely. Good work Logitech! Hope it makes enough people turn away from your products to make you lure them back

Absolutely Terrible

Well, it was terrible. Why? - Broken Keycaps - Lighting freaking out - Numlock not functioning - Glitchy macro setting. Thank god BestBuy offers refunds, I am going to buy a corsair k70 from a different retailer now!

Fantastic Keyboard

I initially purchased the Razor Blackwidow RGB keyboard but found it to be way too loud when typing. This keyboard, with the brown cherry keys is the perfect blend of gaming with typing functionality. I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for using as both a gaming and everyday typing keyboard. Can't comment on the reliability as I just purchased it today, but so far I am impressed.

Nice feel and function, but quality is suspect

I wanted a fully mechanical keyboard that had a some dedicated macro keys, as I use these for work. The G710+ is indeed fully mechanical, has 6 dedicated macro keys (and 3 switchable profiles for a total of 18), adds a bright backlight, and uses "Cherry Brown" switches to add a nice clicky feel. This model has o-ring dampeners under the keys, making them quieter than traditional mechanical keyboards, though that makes them a bit less clicky feeling as well. It also has a USB pass through which is handy. What I liked: - Feels good to type on, and the backlighting is very bright and adjustable (but no colour) - A handy volume roller is a nice touch for on-the-fly adjustments - Has all the media keys you need - Logitech's Gaming software is excellent and fully programmable. What I didn't like: - I read about complaints with broken keys, but I figured they must have revised the hardware by now. Then, after 1 day of light use, the escape key literally flew off on its own when I wasn't even using the keyboard, and seemed to not want to "snap in place". A check online showed many, many people experiencing broken keys. This was clearly not up to the usual Logitech quality. - The keys themselves have a very thin stem, that seems very fragile. Having 1 fly off allowed me to double-check this. - This uses a very stiff plastic cable with 2 USB connectors. It really should be braided at this price. Logitech "makes good stuff"... at least that has been my experience, but this is not one of those devices. The model is older, and I believe now replaced with someone newer so perhaps other models might be better. Otherwise, I can't recommend it. There are other options at this price range.

Broken key Caps.

Well the keyboard would be ok but the key CAPS break. Look at other reviews on the net. I did not listen to others who warned everyone about the broken key caps. The plastic caps are made of very cheap and brittle plastic. In the past I have had great support from Logitech but is seems they have changed out the support team. It took me over a month to get a replacement keyboard. When they sent me the replacement they sent the 710+ blue not the Brown I purchased All I really was asking for was a set of replacement keys. Every person I spoke to at Logitech had a different story. Logitech never update their support tickets. In short Logitech support has been a very big disappointment.

Amazing after some mods

This keyboard is OK at first, but if you want to improve it 10x, take off the o-rings.

Needs 2 year warranty

Awesome keyboard for about the first year then the keys started falling off. Keys are held on by a thin plastic coupling and a small rubber "O" ring. Plastic breaks and "O" ring has nothing to hold onto. I have glued 9 keys back on with limited success. This is suppose to be a gaming keyboard people yet it falls apart under normal use. Aside from that, the keyboard has great features with easy to set back lights and Macros for gameplay. Logitech online support for software is excellent. I've been a fan of Logitech for over 30 years Please build one with a tougher key connection or extend the warranty. I have ordered the G910 as it has a two year warranty.

Proper mechnical gaming keyboard without the noise

I just moved from a Razer mechanical keyboard to this, even though the Razer still worked. I did not like the obscenely loud keystrokes. So after digging through reviews, decided to give this one a try. The G710+ is quieter than the G710, and also has some rubber dampening. You can control the brightness in two different zones, and there are media controls that include a mute toggle, and volume spinner. And there is a gamer mode that disables the windows key, as well as several macro keys that don't get in the way. I picked it up on sale for [price], so I jumped quickly and happy I did. I'm a game developer and a gamer, so a good keyboard is important to me. I would consider this keyboard as quiet as the soft-touch non mechanical keyboards, so I am impressed.

Excellent keyboard

Very nice keyboard, bought it because none of the other mechanical keyboards had media control keys. Very quiet yet still gives a good amount of tactile feedback. Got it while it was on sale for [price], otherwise it would be a little pricey.

Excellent mid-range mechanical keyboard

I'm an avid gamer and I'm quite surprised that I went this long without getting a proper gaming keyboard. I've been using a cheap MS keyboard for the last 10 years without any complaints. I noticed the Logitech G710+ on sale over the holidays and decided to order it. The reviews on it were pretty good everywhere, especially for the Cherry MX Brown key switches, which touted excellent tactile feel without a loud click. I was immediately impressed with the solidity of the keyboard...it feels very well-built. The keys feel great to type on. The click is satisfying and now I see why gamers pay extra for mechanical keyboards. The only con I can think of is that the keys are on the small side, at least they feel that way. I'm still getting used to them and I have no doubt that it'll feel very natural with time, but I'm definitely mis-typing more than usual. Overall, no regrets picking this up. I wish I could get one for work!

Great mechanical keyboard

Mechanical keys feel great, and you need barely any time to adjust to the actuation pressure. I found myself liking the pleasure of typing again, the tactility makes a far greater impact than I thought. Backlighting is a white LED which lights up all keys except the Macro keys. Downside as some have mentioned, is that the lighting for keys only shows for the primary value (numbers, comma and period for example) and the secondary value will not light up. Keyboard itself is fatter than the keys, as the base tapers outwards. Requires two USB ports to plug in, although by doing so you allow use of the USB port on the keyboard itself. Keyboard comes with one height adjustment, so this may cause problems for some people.

Perfect Keyboard

Best mechanical keyboard ive ever had. Perfect for gaming and typing. The brown switches + O-Rings make the typing "quiet" as compared to other switches. If you want a louder and a more deeper click, then just remove the O-Rings :) The back light is amazing. The brightness settings allow you to either have a very dim back light or a very bright back light. Its totally up to you. Also, the software included is extremely user friendly. It allows you to program the "G" keys super easily. The keyboard is also super durable and does not flex a lot. Perfect keyboard...

Nice Keyboard!

just use this keyboard for a week. every thing is good like the internet say it was but this for the pirce .is lookz kind of cheap and not a good looker ..... but if u want the feel of a Mechanical Keyboard, you need to take the rubber ring off under neat the keycabs. that will only make a bit louder, but feel way much more nice!!!!!

It worth the price

I have changed my G510s to this keyboard, and damn it worth the change! This mechanical keyboard provides a great sensation while playing and typing. Its dual zone brightness backlight gives a good visual sensation in dark rooms. It has a nice, simple and reliable visual. Media keys, G keys, M keys are great, functional and well placed. The keyboard is heavy so it does not move around while playing hardcore. The keyboard cable has two USB connections: one for the keyboard itself, and another one for the on-board USB connector. Although many will think this USB connector will be useless, I think it is an outstanding idea. I connect my G502 mouse to it, so I have less cables hanging to the computer outputs, making less mess with cables and more space and "mouse cable" for moving around. Overall, it is an outstanding keyboard and worth the try.

sturdy and heavy but small keys

This would be a great Keyboard with a sturdy heavy feel about it but the keys are a lot smaller than a normal keyboard and too small for my fingers. I have ran into this before but never so tight a fit -small keys and pushed together. I would have loved this keyboard if it had regular sized keys. It is Also quite expensive so make sure you get it on sale.

Get This Keyboard

This is my first mechanical keyboard and I was blown away by the tactile feedback that I get from typing and gaming. What I love is that this keyboard isn't 'Clicky' sounding like most of the other gaming keyboards, because the Logitech uses cherry brown switches that are damped with rubber. The media keys are handy, although I would have preferred them to be on the left side. If you are into lighting the keyboard, Logitech does a good job here. My only gripe about this keyboard is the palm rest is a hard plastic with no padding. I was hoping they would have provided a better one at this level. I honestly can say this is by far the best keyboard I have used and I would never go back to the non mechanical boards ever again!

Best Keyboard Ever

This keyboard so mechanically amazing. I am a huge gamer and this keyboard is both silent and mechanical so for you late night player you have nothing to worry about! The special features on the keyboard are so convenient and the keyboard itself is perfect for my hand. The buttons feel so smooth and relaxed and is such a luxury to type. For anyone new to gaming keyboards with a tight budget I definitely recommend this to you.

Great Keyboard

I just bought this keybord the other day. It has an excellent feel - unfortunately there is a learning curve for me coming from the split Microsoft keyboard. I am not a gamer - I know what the buttons are for but I dont need them. The sound knob is awesome. The backlighting is amazing. Its not as flashy as some other gaming keyboards but it is definitely cool looking and extremely "how did I live without it". I wanted a mechanical keyboard - this one is pretty good so far. As long as the keys stay in place - I dont think I will need another keyboard. Also - USB ports on the keyboard! It has two USB cables to plug instead of one.

Another Great product from Logitech

I bought this G710+ keyboard after doing a lot of searching on youtube and google. I read some negative reviews and some positive reviews but decided to shell out the big bucks for this keyboard and a G700s mouse and I am 100% satisfied with both. I love the programmable keys and if you are a software developer they can be very very handy once you get them down and remember what you programmed to what key. Great product.

Keys falling off constantly

I am having to run back to bestbuy to track down my receipt in the hopes of them having it so I can get my keyboard fixed. I have 6 missing keys all falling off of this keyboard. It started with one that I could put back on but eventually they wouldnt stay on the keyboard. Stuck using a useless keyboard for my computer for now. Would not recommend buying this keyboard

Stay away! Not worth

I like Logitech products. Had a G15 for several years and when that finally gave up, went through several different keyboards until deciding on this. Six months later... broken keys. Since no receipt, no capability of pursuing the manufacturer warrantee. Pros: Nice feel and key action (until they broke!), adjustable intensity backlighting, G-Macro keys and media controls. Cons: Expensive, not durable for a hardcore gamer.

It was very good for the price but for me a much cheaper keyboard was better I preferred the alienware tactx keyboard

Excellent Keyboard

I picked this keyboard up after trying a few other mechanical ones and was pleasantly surprised. Not only does it not sound like a typewriter like almost all the Cherry MX Blue keys, but it's completely backlit and extremely well layed out. The backlighting is done in two parts, so if you're gaming, you can dim all the keys other than "wasd" or the arrow keys. It feels great to type with and has music controls, a volume wheel and a full numpad. Overall it's a fantastic keyboard, far better than most of the competitors.

  • from Calgary, AB

Awesome Cherry mx Brown keyboard

The keyboard has a very solid feel to it and the finish on the keyboard and keycaps is really nice. I love that it has both macro keys and multimedia keys, most only have one or the other. The soft rubber non-slip pads on the bottom are larger and have more grip than most keyboards i've seen/used If you're looking for a cherry mx brown switch keyboard, look no further.

Best Mechanical Keyboard I have used

Since this is my first own mechanical keyboard I am very impressed, I have used other ones but they didn't have all the features I was looking for (Cherry MX Browns, Backlit, Full media controls, full mechanical keys). Overall I have been very pleased with Logitech products as is, so I was very happy to purchase this keyboard, and I must say after hours of use, and gaming I have not been let down. Definitely would recommend this keyboard, to the gaming and typist alike.

  • from Gatineau QC

Very happy

Got this keyboard to replace a 6 month old Razer BF3 keyboard that started to act up. So happy that Logitech did a mechanical gaming keyboard so far this keyboard has really impressed me. Pro: mechanical Cons: only 1 light color would have been nice if it offered a few more options, the led's for the cap and num locks are very bright, price.
