Worth it on sale price

I bought this on launch day (did not pay full price). And I put 89 hours in it. I was a fan of previous Mass Effects so that's a tell. If you can pick it up on Sale I would do it. Most of the bugs on release day have been fixed. Great Exploring. Great Combat. Great Crew. Great Quests. Ok story.

It is a bad as critics say. Why does ME1 on PS3 look better. It's honestly shocking. Also, if you don't want politics in your video games avoid avoid avoid! EA announced there will be no DLC for single player - there's your tell folks. The game did so bad they are pulling all efforts from it. Don't know what happened to Bioware in the last few years, but I fear the EA acquisition is showing it's fruit. The story is bad, the dialogue is poor and the characters are cardboard. Wanted to love this game!

Better Than You Have Heard

I've put over 100 hours into Andromeda already and I haven't finished my first play through yet. For the people who have picked apart this game from the beginning for trival matters such as buggy expressions, (Note since updates, I have noticed very few) the franchise is obviously not for you. If you loved the aspect of roaming the galaxy with an awesome alien crew, smearing badies and making tough decisions that effect your gameplay experience, then do yourself a favor and get Mass Effect Andromeda. Any true ME fan will tell you no different. I'm commander Sheppard , and this is my favorite game on the citadel.

This game got terrible reviews, and while I can somewhat understand why, please know that the game has since been improved a lot. In the latest version as of May 25th 2017, there are very little bugs and glitches and character animations have been greatly improved. The rest of the game remains mostly unchanged, not that it needed to be. I've spent 40 hours, and so far I really like the story, there are plenty of likable characters, some more than others, and while the crafting system leaves much to be desired, it isn't nearly as complicated to use as it is made out to be. This game is worth a play, and I think you should form your own opinion on it since players and critics have very different views.

What happened?

What you have read is true this game is not worth your money, save it! Not only is the graphics all messed up the aiming is bugged up and slow. It feels like I'm playing an early Gen PS3 game. Save your money people!

Great Game

This game has gotten a bad wrap. I personally have loved every game in the series and this is no acception. There is tons to do in this game and the multiplayer alone is worth it. If you wait for a sale I wouldint hesitate to pick this up.

This game is far better than it gets credit for.

Finished the game at 85 hours with still a ton of side missions left to do and I haven't even touched multiplayer yet. Animations were not the best but only a couple of characters stick out with the bad animations. Gameplay is awesome and story is great. If you are a mass effect fan thus game is for u.

Not even worth it

I've bought this game and beat it. I've beaten every story mission, every side mission that I could possibly do, spoke to nearly every NPC that had something worthy to say. Most disappointing Mass Effect game in the series. Also the most disappointing Western RPG. I could go on for ever about how emotionally invested I felt in the former three games in the series and how this one left me with an empty void, or how the facial animations are atrocious, or how the glitches made this game unplayable at many points in the game and I had to reset. Not worth all that frustration, but I had to get through it because I am a completionist at heart, yet I can't even 100% this game entirely. The multiplayer is severely lacking in content and doesn't even deserve your attention. I've branched out and dabbled in Japanese RPGs despite my disinterest towards anime and manga, but the real gameplay is there. They have years of experience from the first Final Fantasies and before. Fallout 4 and Skyrim just don't do it for me with their ridiculous QA and lack of detail. Witcher 3, on the other hand, is an exception. Basically what I'm trying to say is save your money for games worth your time...

Absolute Crap!!

This game as far to many problems... I can't even finish the game because it won't give me the final mission....Garbage don't waste your time...I was a huge mass effect fan before this game came out. The story is dull, the characters have no emotion, its not worth the money.

Great Game!!

This game has been beaten up by reviews and critics. I think the hype train got away on it. At its core this is a fantastic game. Huge world, tons to do, great story. It's multiplayer is surprisingly great and addictive. Well worth it at full price. They will continually update the game to make it better and the first patch has already addressed the major issues. Get this game!

Good, but a letdown in the end.

I'll admit the game has quite an engaging story, and the combat mechanics are top notch, but I can't agree that this game is anywhere near a 5 star rating. If you compare this to an ACTUAL 5 star rated Action RPG like Witcher 3, Characters are not nearly as fleshed out as they could be, the side missions are incredibly bland and monotonous, the facial and body animations are awful, the AI is practically brain-dead and it definitely suffers from framerate issues. Hopefully a series of updates can fix most of these issues, but as of right now, I can't recommend this game at full price.

Don't believe the critics, this is a 5 star title

This game came out with terrible reviews, I've been playing it for 50 hours and will play it again to exprience different classes, nothing in there justifies the reviews, I can see why they happened though, let me explain: Ho-hum facial animations on pc and npcs, yes this is true, the facial animations do leave a bit to be desired, yes we may have a right to expect better than this. Fetch quests, no they're not that bad, and they're not geared in the go here, go there, and get 5 of these 4 of those etc, they're more fleshed out. But what these people don't get is that this is an open world game, not a linear one, therefore it has quests more akin to that type of game. Repetetive, again, open-world game, and quite frankly the other mass effects had as much repetetiveness as that if not more: planet scanning anyone ? Confusing and annoying crafting system, true, at first, a slight Learning curve is necessary, then you'll know what's what, after that it's up to you what to develop, and it gets fun. Insufficient explanantions, true, the game does not hold your hand but more then enough to get you going. The rest you have to find out, have fun !

Save your money

This game should have never been released until it was actually ready. The animation of the characters is terrible. I felt like I was playing a game from 20 years ago. The actual game play is buggy and does not feel like a Mass Effect game at all. The story itself is very boring and the voice acting sounds like it was done by amateurs. Unfortunately I cannot return this game now that I’ve opened it. Save your money and don’t buy this game.

Save your money

This game has far too many problems to be called a finished product. The gaming animation looks like something from 20 years ago. The game play itself is very choppy and makes it difficult to enjoy. I regret opening this game and wish I could return it. Save your money and pass on this game.

Save your money

This game is nothing more than a money grab for EA. The animation for a game made for next generation console in 2017 is horrific. Gameplay is sloppy and needs a major overhaul. This game is “Mass Effect” in title only. Save your money and time and don’t bother with this game.
