Best game I played in a long time. I can't get enough of it.
This game is incredible. I don't have a Switch, but I don't need one. With a good TV, the game looks great and plays great on the WiiU. I highly recommend finding yourself a Wolf Link amiibo as well to use in game. Nothing beats having a buddy to fight by your side.
Really good game
Best game ever
Fantastic game, enjoyable game play and the kids are loving it. Very well done!
This game is pure awesome! You can eat Hydromelons!
Not willing to spend the dollar prior to seeing customer reviews of the game, I ordered online after I couldnt find this game in any local store. The product came in packed and sealed professionally. Very satisfied. Highly recommend buying
Best Zelda game since orcania of time.
Empty world, frame rate drops with average graphics but still a fun zelda game.
Ordered game on March 2 and got it March 6. Enjoying the game and all the new items and challenges. Some of those new 'monsters' are mean.
If you're worried that this isn't as good as the Switch version, THINK AGAIN! It's the best Zelda game I've ever played; plus using the Wolf Link Amiibo adds some extra fun!
Massive open world and tremendously immersive. This is gaming at it's finest form. The wait is well worth it.
Great open world game. There's lots to explore, interesting and visually appealing areas, challenging side quests, and puzzles. Weather affects your ability to traverse terrain. The only thing slowing you down from killing every monster you see is weapon durability, which for most items so far (I'm probably through 1/5th of the game) is relatively low -- It's apparent they want you to approach the game with more efficient strategies rather than hack and slash at everything.
Definitely a must-have if you're looking to burn time in a very accessible fantasy world for many hours.
I ran all over town trying to find a copy of Breath of the Wild for my fiance's birthday gift. When I came to Best Buy, there were still no copies, but they offered to order it for me and even ship it straight to my house. Less than a week later, it showed up and we were playing straightaway. Now I know what to do and where to go should this sort of thing happen again.
I have been waiting for this game for at least 5 years and it did not disappoint. Amazing gameplay and open world with non-linear story make it fun to explore the whole world in your own time and your order of preference. Love it!
This rating is based on all the "perfect scores" that are being touted out there.
The dungeons are more like mini-puzzles. Don't expect the epic water shrine type of levels. Even the "boss" dungeons are barely on this level.
And like most open world games, many of the quests are time-consuming, repetitive slogfests. The tower sections are a good example; Ubisoft does a much better job in this aspect.
The game hides behind it's traditional aspects; the graphics hide the system doesn't do urrent-gen detail, the protagonist doesn't have to speak, etc. These are aspects it gets a pass over other games just because of "tradition"
zelda fans will rage at this review, but they won't accept anything than a perfect score for this game. I'm just giving an objective viewpoint.
A good zelda game? Sure.
Best game ever. Not by a long shot.
I've been playing Zelda since NES days. I'm a die hard fan and I'm also open to new game styles. This game is highly addictive to me and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I have not had this much fun with a Zelda game since Majora's Mask.
Amazing game field of play!
The attention to detail in this game is insane, they did not spare any expense when creating it. It is definitely geared more towards the original Zelda fans than the younger generation. The price is high but remember that you will be spending over 500 hours exploring the whole map so in the end it is fairly cheap for what you get!
I was really looking forward to this game since 2015 when it was first said to be releasing. But I like the game even though we had to wait 2 years!!!
There isn't much too say other than his game is absolutely amazing! If you like adventure and mystery with frequent save points, then buy this game now! There is soooooo much to do and the map is massive!
The game is very different from other Zeldas, in that it's more of a free-roam game, comparable to Skyrim or Witcher 3. If you don't like open-ended games, or were expecting a traditional linear Zelda experience, this game isn't for you. Otherwise, the game is phenomenal.
I bought the WII U version. It loads fast, the colors are great and the game is one of the best I have ever played. I'm 30 hours in and it seems like I've barely scratched the surface of this game.
I love this game so far, as every Zelda game before it. Easily a 5 star game. If you're a fan of the previous games in this series, I'm you will be a fan of this one too. The Wii U goes out on a high note with this final game. Can't wait to see what happens next!
Fantastic graphics and exciting gameplay, well worth the anticipation!
Have only played for about 15 hours so far at a _very_ relaxed pace. wandering around exploring everything is fantastic. So far this is the best game since Ocarina of Time (and BotW "Tutorial" stage is much better paced) and the sense of scale is great. Minor quibble is very occasional frame rate drop as you are walking (switching between invisible zones perhaps?) and the weapons breaking is also annoying but just another gameplay mechanic that I'm getting used to. Definitely happy with this purchase, I never buy full price release day games, but glad I did this once.
Had so much fun with this game so far. If you already own a WiiU there is no need to rush out and buy a Switch just to play this game. WiiU version works just fine. Enormous sprawling world (larger than Skyrim) with great characters and adventures to find. Would highly recommend to any fan of the Zelda franchise. One downside is that the weapons, bows and shields you use in the game degrade over time. This becomes less annoying later in the game but is still frustrating at times.
This is one of the best LoZ games keeping some core game elements while completely revamping mechanics and story. Are people really giving the game one star ratings because they're confused about the release/ship date ? ... wow
This is by far one of the best open world games I have played.
there will never be another nintendo product to come in my house my kids will get a ps4 or xbox one insteaqd at least they provide enough copies for new games. also would like to point out the horrible experiences ive had at best buy, went in to pre order a week before the game came out , they had the pre order cards on a rack in the store for advertisment but not able to pre order pretty funny that they kept the pre order cards out to play up the hype and promote a game they couldnt provide to the consumer. employee could have advised me to reserve a copy online but that wasnt done to help me out. went to several stores on launch to get the game for my daughters brithday but just as i get to the cash they say they have no more copies. thats ok then went to look at other wii u games and none to be seen, they have discontinued the wii u completly making buying actual games for it obsolete. here i am now with 450 dollars worth of gift cards to a store that i could care less about now thanks for the great service will never buy another product from you bunch of liars!
Just take my money Nintendo!!!!
Best legend of zelda game i have ever played holy cow. Nintendo you have been holding out on us but i still love you been playing for 40 hours and have barely done anything in the game and i love it.
An amazing game where it feels as if the environment is the main character that can help, as well as hinder, our hero as we navigate Link through it to complete his quest(s). Taking this franchise into a massive "open world" and letting players do what they want, when they want and how they want is truly liberating, as well as overwhelming at times ... a true achievement for Nintendo to take an already very successful franchise and evolve it into something so, so much more ... truly, truly amazing. Great job, Nintendo!
this is a great game. zelda in a open world. great graphics , cool gameplay. this game deserve not less than 5 stars. too bad best buy allow others give a one start review talking about a pre-order date which is not a review of the item...
I gave it 1 star because I am sure it will be a terrific game but my pre order copy still hasn't been shipped. I pre-ordered this years ago, you think it would be shipped so I would get it either on the release date or just a few days after. I check my order status and all it says is in stock. Why don't you ship it already?
People gave low review over a release date. I don't think they know how product reviews work.
This game is going to be awesome, also it says that it's coming out march 3rd 2017 not December 31st 2017.
Amazing game, but easily the most difficult game I've ever tried to purchased thanks to Best Buy not having phyisical copies in store. I can't even order one online unless I have credit. Thank you for the worst game purchasing experience I've ever had.
A few days!
Does this mean if we pr-order it now, we will get it deliver one year form now?
In the description says that Release Date: December 31, 2017. That means one year from now. Is it December 31 2016 or 2017?
Release Date: December 31, 2017?
That's still more than one year from now!!!
