Overall awesomeness

These speakers sound great on the high and mid range. The bass has some pump But it's a little light for my tastes. Overall the sound is very clean. Highly recommend picking these up

Bass Overload

I bought these thinking that Polk would have refined their product since I last bought a set of their speakers over ten years ago. The sound is very good, clean and crisp, although the bass is over powering. I have a pre/power amp setup that has no bass or treble controls, so I need a speaker that can deliver a fairly flat sound, possibly with a small boost to the bass. These speakers made it sound like i had a huge, powerful subwoofer cranked in the room, just unbelievable amounts of bass, and uncalled for. I returned these after about a week of breaking them in, which they need. Went back to my 13 year old RTiA7's and am much happier. I'm sure using your onboard EQ, on most receivers, you could dial these in.

Great bank for the buck

Great pair of speakers. Bass heads might find low end tight..It's not booming.. I am using it with a Polk sub, so I have no complaints there. Great for films and music. These speakers love power, so use a high powered amp to get the most out of them. I am using with an HK high powered stereo amp 120watts/channel. Using these with clean high powered amp didn't cause any distortion at loud volumes. Very impressed. As one reviewer said, they sound bright, but only initially. It took lots and lots of hours to break in the drivers, and the sound mellowed out and was less bright over a period. (or my ears adjusted).. Recommended purchase, especially if you can get them discounted.

Great sound for the price

Having had the speakers a couple weeks now, they sound exceptional. The highs are so much clearer and crisp then the conventional surround sound all in one packages. Combine this with a 200 watt subwoofer, a pair of 125 Watt bookself speakers and Sony's STRDN1060 1050-Watt 7.2 Channel 3D 4K Network Home Theatre Receiver, they were collectively a great deal, getting everything on sale for half the regular price. These 300 watts beasts easily handle the Sony 165 watt per channel output . The speakers are 50% heavier weight wise, than the 200 and 250 Watt JBL or Polk's speaker counterparts, but need to be to stay rigid when thundering out the impressive powerful sound output. Its a bit of over-kill for use in one's living room, but would be adequate for being a DJ at a hall music function.

Quit pricing it for only one speaker

Who the heck buys one speaker? a person gets checking out a pair of speaker thinking the price looks like a good deal, only to realize the price is for one only. Like really? You almost feel like you have been cond.

Audiophile Quality- a pleasant Surprise

My challenges to the RTIA7 were diverse in terms of music venues -JAZZ , REGGAE, BLUES , and some Classical stuff - sprinkled with a splash of Rock-(Santana). I was impressed with the clarity of range separation , clarity of the sound, as well as the handling of transients . There is no distraction from the musical experience with audible distortions of speaker cone recovery after brief bursts or an intense push from my Cerwin Vega CV2800. The Presence of the program material ( you are there) distracts the listener from the fact that the RT7's are doing the validation and the serving up such a wonderful menu of Sound. The High's are crisp, Mids Crackle just below, and mellow to a TIGHT - not Boomy Bass . YES the Specs are true for this product. Excellent Product for the price point!! OH yes, My Sales Consultant Sebastian was experienced and offered an excellent DEMO and analysis of my sound requirements.
