Our fridge has a chronic issue of frost build up behind the back where the cooling radiator is located. Of course no service from Samsung and no permanent fix so we have to dismantle and manually defrost every 8-12 WEEKS. Our local service shops just laugh and suggest we don't buy anymore samsung products - they won't service it.
After less than 3 years, the freezer stopped working. No one, Samsung nor Best Buy, is willing to help. After three different repair companies were called, no one can fix it as it's a Freon leak. Fridge is now worthless.
Day 3 with this refrigerator. This review is as much about Best Buy as the fridge. First off, the fridge is really good, so far. It's pretty quiet and big but not bulky in my small-ish kitchen. At 5'5", it is a reach to get to the back of the top shelf and I would prefer the door storage containers were clear plastic, rather than white, at least at the top as if you are under about 6'0, you won't be able to see what's stored in there. As mine is not connected to water, I would like to remove the ice maker in the freezer as it hangs low which means little storage in the top left area of the freezer. So far, I cannot find in the manual or online how to remove the ice maker. I got this fridge on sale at Best Buy. I was able to redeem some gift cards, no problem, I got a 5 yr extended warranty and delivery for a better price than any other store would offer, this fridge was sold out in Alberta, but instead of saying no, they brought one from another province, thank you Logan at Westhills BB. The delivery guys, Tony and Chad, were outstanding. They removed a beast of a fridge from my basement for recycle, took my current working kitchen fridge downstairs, had to remove all 3 doors off this new Samsung in order to get it through the front door and reattached everything. They did it all with a smile, quickly, they didn't bump, scratch or knock anything. I was near tears or pure relief and happiness when they left and we gave them each well deserved big tips. Once again, Best Buy and 'their peeps' have provided outstanding service and great prices, and we appreciate it!
Door spring broke 1st year. Now there is a glitch in the LED display and I can't change the temperature. Gets dirty/speared very easily.
Overall this fridge is an absolute mess less than 3 years into it's life. I was hoping to get at MINIMUM 10 yrs out of a fridge this expensive.
Just horrible experience.
