Not recording while showing that it is recording.

Pretty much what title says. When I needed to get the recording I found out that camera was not recording for last three months even it was showing that everything is fine. Waste of money!

Good for the price

Not super HD quality videos - but clear enough that you can read license plates during the day. Speakers are loud and annoying with notifications (initial startup and when it thinks you've been in a crash - ie: hitting speedbump or pothole) BUT you can disable any noise past the initial greeting. It's just difficult to get it to work and the sounds may re-enable again. Otherwise, camera is awesome; mounts very quickly, easy to operate, creates multiple videos on SD card that are .avi form. I enjoy re-watching the videos and would recommend this to anyone who wants a dash camera "just for insurance purposes".

This camera is cheap for a reason. The quality doesn't seem like 720p, but worse than that the sounds it makes are extremely loud and cannot be turned off despite what the company implies. The camera also randomly restarts, which makes it play it's annoying greeting over again. Thinkware did not respond to any emails until the 3rd time I contacted them. They did not explain why they refuse to update the firmware to get rid of the features that ruin this camera. Took it out of my car and will not be using it any more. It's a shame thinkware's support was sub par.

Don" buy it .

I brought this dash camera, just a nightmare , sound can not turn off and adjust volume. suddenly on off during camera over heat. terrible , I put it to recycle depot.

Although it's generally an alright dashcam, it is more sensitive to extreme temperatures. Temperature will easily rise to +40 in a car parked in sunlight in the summer, or -40 on cold nights with windchill. In both situations the camera would get stuck on a reset loop and refuse to record. And in hot temperatures the memory would corrupt and I'd lose all settings and data. This winter the microSD card failed completely, something that I've not had happen before.

We love it. Have one in both of our cars. Easy to replay in the laptop and good quality pictures.

really good camera for its price. small compact plug in n go. only bad thing is every time you start the car camera boots up with this stupid welcome note "have a save drive today" I hate it. no way you can disabled it in the settings. I unscrew back cover and cut speaker's wires. now its silent 😊
