returned it after a few hours

Drops connections every now and then...Indeed, easy to setup, but a piece of junk in terms of reliability

  • from Vancouver, BC

The best

Highly recommend. The best router for fast 100+ mbs data transfer. Consider buying it when on sale or buy it for cheaper on

  • from Brampton, ON

Bought it as a wifi extender because I had blank spots in my house where the wifi wouldn't reach. Works amazing with no problems at all. The best router money can buy.

  • from Saint Albert, AB

Woprked fine ---for about a year.

Bought this router about a year ago. Worked fine but now it keeps cutting out and I need to reboot it every day. Very disappointed.

  • from Chatham, ON

Nice user interface

Router was easy to set up and just works. I am happy with this item.

  • from Montreal, QC

A few weeks past the warranty period the router died

This router has not lasted six months, it's already flaking out on the wireless.

tp link archer c7

I bought the Archer c7 about a year ago and so far not a single problem and it got awesome range and speed, I have a least 6 devices connected at all time and never drop connections, never had to rest it once, I tried many other routers way more expensive and didn't do any batter then this one, I have 60mbps Internet speed a I watch 4k on my TV and 1080p in all other device at same time and it works beautifully, I don't understand some bad reviews on here.

  • from Mississauga, ON

Vast improvement

With my previous router I would consistently have drop outs and inconsistent signal. With this TP Link AC1750 the signal strength is great and all my bandwidth and signal problems are history.

  • from London, ON

Good Device

I have had this router for over a year and a half now had no problems specifically with the device. I wish they would provide additional firmware updates but otherwise it is a good device. *Knock of wood*

Great router - easy to set up

So far this has been a great router. The manual and software interface are surprisingly well-organized, making it very straight forward to set up. The range is excellent throughout my home. I'm using the 2.4 GHz band with my cell phone and an older laptop while the 5.0 GHz band works great with my new computer which supports 802.11AC.

  • from Burnaby

We have 7 device connected to this router. Our old router would only allow 1 person on he wifi at a time. Otherwise, we would lag out the we can all connect without lagging☺🙂

  • from Burnaby,BC

This route works like wonder! In our house, we weren't able to use the WiFi when someone else was on.if we did use the WiFi when someone was on, we would lag the person out. With this WiFi, we were all able to connect without lagging out the other person.we have 7 device connected to the wifi route.

Check what you have before buying this one

First of all, this does not work with anything that does not support AC standard, so if you have older stuff in your network, don't be surprised that C7 is not going to do anything for you. The box, description or instruction is not going to tell you that but this equipment is finicky as hell. Second of all, the range sucks. I have a 3700 sq.f. house, about 65 feet wide and C7 is on the far end of the house. The other end cannot get signal, seriously 65 feet is too much??!! I'm sorry but that's not acceptable. Now, the best thing is I got it to improve on the range and performance of my standard ROgers wirless modem but C7 has done thing, and I mean absolutely nothing for me. Well, in all honesty maybe added 2 feet to my range, that's about it. 5G performance and range was actually worse than Rogers original, absolutely horrid. Returned after two weeks of misery. Will be getting much more expensive and powerful stuff. As they say, you get what you pay for. In this case, piece of junk.

Excellent Router

I got this based on The Wirecutter's recommendation and I couldn't be happier. I get excellent Wifi coverage throughout the whole apartment. My old Asus RT-N56U had issues in the kitchen, but the TP-Link throws a nice strong signal over there. If I have one criticism, it's the Web Interface. It's a little bland and lacks some basic functionality. Port forwarding is a lot more complex than it needs to be, since you can't choose the device to forward to like you could on the Asus, you have to remember the IP address of the device to forward to. It's also a little difficult to get a list of connected devices. Other than that, this is a great purchase.

Upgraded an older D-Link router and got better Wi-Fi throughout my home. Easy to setup. Highly recommended.

Great WiFi Router

I recently purchased TP-LINK AC 1750 WIRLESS ROUTER. I been using this product for the past several weeks since November 30, 2016. Amazing product! Provides the wifi service necessary for my new Dell Laptop. I recommend this product for home use with wireless devices such as my wireless laptop, printer and Apple iPhone.

  • from Saskatoon, SK

Great Router

Easy to setup and has been great for signal strength all over the house.

  • from Toronto, ON

Fast and no drops

Just replaced my 4 year old router and this one makes a lot of difference. 2.4 and 5 ghz dual band helps. I am now getting the maximum throughput and no drops at all. Very happy so far.

  • from Toronto, ON

Good if all your WiFi devices support 802.11AC

The router is great for wired and 802.11AC (2.4Ghz only). Worked great with my Galaxy Note. But when connecting to my 802.11N laptop the result was atrocious 5-7 Mbps speedtest on 50 Mbps connection (N should be able to do 300Mbps+) and it was but a few feet away. Even worse with my 802.11G streaming box. When connecting to the 5Ghz channel it was even worse, even on my phone. So beware if you will be using on anything but the latest devices that support 802.11AC. Went back to my trusty Linksys on DT-WRT firmware

Good Product

I bought it two weeks ago. It is a very good product with the price.

  • from Mississauga, ON

Slow, going back to Linksys

I spent over 2 hours trying to get my speeds back to where I was with the Rogers router. I returned this and picked up a Linksys and everything is my much. Not sure if all these positive reviews are real or not but i would do some research before wasting your time

Great little router for dd-wrt

Flashed latest beta of dd-wrt firmware (Sept 01), and was up and running in 5-10 min. Good range, 2.4 & 5Ghz work fine. No drop-outs so far. For the sale price, [price], you get a lot. I'm very pleased

  • from London, ON

Great so far

I have had this for a few weeks now. No issues and easy setup. It has a better wireless range than my old router.

  • from Richmond Hill, ON

Worked well... for the 2 days that I owned it

After owning it for a few days, a thunderstorm knocked out the power in my house and the router never turned back on after. I don't really blame TP LINK but I'm surprised because it was connected to a surge protector. Anyways, got a refund for it, thinking about buying it again.

  • from North Vancouver, BC

Rock Solid, High Power

I use this router at my small business to serve anywhere between 10-25 devices at a time. It's rock solid and has enough power to go through the double-wall construction this building features. I just logged in and checked and the current uptime is 150 days without a restart. Very impressed.

  • from Victoria, BC

Don't waste your money

Worst router I have had. It works fine with the laptops, but not with our iPads. The connection to wifi and the iPads is constantly interrupted. In fact, I'm concerned about getting this review finished before I get bounced out again. The online chat recommendations didn't work and it is now too late to return it

  • from Toronto, ON

Excellent value and performance.

Awesome range and speed for the price. 5GHz wireless easily covers a 4500 sq ft home. Router is easy to configure and set up. And able to stream 1080p movies without stutter.

  • from Brossard, QC

Good purchase

Excellent value for the money. The router is quick and easy to install and works very well. We get great coverage throughout our 1300-square-foot condo. We even get a strong signal in the bedrooms with the doors closed. Recommended.

Tp-Link AC1750 router

I haven't had the router long, so I can't say much, but it was easy to install and has been working great ever since.

  • from Surrey, BC

Good Upgrade Very Good Performance

I upgraded from a linksys/cisco and the difference is huge performance wise. Installed in same place as the older one (in one corner of house) and I get plenty of signal all over the house on both stories. The previous one struggled to provide signal in opposite corners of the house. Speed is way better too. I can notice the difference of speed on my phone.Internet and internet dependent apps are faster. Simultaneous 5ghz and 2.4 is awesome. Highly Recomended.. :)

Finally wi-fi routers are getting user-friendly

I bought this one after reading a ringing endorsement on a review site, and have not regretted it. After some recent renovations I was looking at having to pull new LAN cables to several locations in our house, but with this new wifi router that is no longer necessary. In the past whenever I looked at replacing our wifi router, all the choices were full of bloatware and overly technical setup and configurations. This one was pretty straightforward and worked exactly as the reviewer said it would.

TP-LINK AC1750 Wireless Dual-Band Gigabit Router (Archer C7)

the best one ive had, really happy with it

  • from Toronto, ON

Unstable connection!

Wifi drops out after a while which is very annoying. When I try to reconnect to the WIFI it ask for the password and it shows "password is invalid". I have to reboot the router every time this happens. Never had this problem with dlink.

  • from Vancouver, BC

great router!

we are pleased with the performance of this router and does it's job well in our 750 sq ft concrete apartment.

  • from Richmond, BC

Awesome router

Awesome router, Flashed it with openwrt firmware, connection is rock solid! 7 android, 2 ipad, roku, ps3 and ps4 devices are all connected to 2.4 or 5Ghz. 5 wired pc, 2 of them use for gaming online, voip phone adapter. keep the ping very low, voip call no problem at all. No dropouts and connections are all solid. Very happy with the purchase and the power of opensource firmware, Haven't tried stock firmware though, flash it with openwrt the moment I receive it. Regards to all.

TP-LINK Archer C7 Wireless

What a awesome product! worth value I paid. the instead speed alway. Go for it and buy one!

  • from Markham, ON

TP-Link C7 router

It has been running on my second floor for a month now. So far so good. Although I am not seeing the WIFI range increased, I believe the bandwidth has been increased. We can use three computers via WIFI at the same time without any problem. One thing I would like to point out is that the router gets overheated/warmed after just a few hours of usage. Lucky I have a cheap used laptop and it helps cool down the router.

  • from Kamloops, BC

great product!

Have had no problems at all with this product ... very pleased. Great value.

  • from Richmond Hill, ON

Better than Netgear, D-Link and Asus!

The router performs outstandingly, I can have 8 devices and none loose connectivity. I cant believe the performance compared to the price !

  • from Barrie, ON

Very good for a regular sized home

Found this product very useful. I have been using it for the past 10 days at my home. Gives pretty good signal throughout the house and the quality of connection is excellent. I have at least 8 different devices connected to this router through WiFi, and all of them works flawless.

  • from Ottawa, ON

Strong signal, but unstable connections

Got c7 v2 on sale, shipped with the latest firmware. Pros: strong signal and large coverage compared to my DLink 868L Cons: unstable connections: Connection (wired and Wifi) drops out from time to time. Stability is top priority in my view, so decide to keep my dlink instead. Will return to store.
