Deus Ex: Mankind Divided

By Brad Pajuluoma

Cyberpunk fans rejoice as the next game in the fan favourite Deus Ex series is fast approaching. It’s now the year 2029, two years after the horrible Aug Incident, and humanity has deemed augmented humans to be too dangerous and now treats them as outcasts. Augmented humans now must live in total segregation from the rest of society. This is the world of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.

The continuation of Deus Ex: Human Revolution

Set two years after the events in the previous game, Deus Ex Mankind Divided is the direct result of the Aug Incident. An incident which caused augmented humans to go berserk and attack their fellow man. Unknown to almost all of society this was due to Hugh Darrow’s hijacking of the biochip signal, which caused the augmented human to act in such a way and lash out uncontrollably against innocent people. Now society fears them and has segregated any augmented human from the rest of mankind.

Adam Jensen is back and he never asked for this

You will once again take control of the augmented human and experienced covert operative, Adam Jensen. Now working with Interpol-funded task Force 29, he is armed with a completely new arsenal of augmentations and state-of-the-art weapons. Augmentations like a protective nanoshield, a detachable nano-ceramic blade, and a fist-mounted electro-shock system akin to modern-day tasers, for quick and stealthy takedowns. Weapons will now also be customizable, with mods like, a variety of sights and different ammunition types. Using all these tools at his disposal, Adam must unravel a worldwide conspiracy, while completing missions around the now segregated world of Deus Ex, if he is to have any hope to save and reunite mankind.

The perfect combination of gunplay, stealth and action RPG

All the elements of gameplay in Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, blend together to give you a wide variety of options when approaching each mission. Just like the other games in the Deus Ex series, there will always be different ways to complete each objective. This also means the return of the “conversation battle” which will match Adam’s wits with that of his enemies through time sensitive dialogue options. You will also be able to hack numerous systems and devices—remotely in some cases. Will you go through each mission guns a blazing or will you be the ultimate augmented stealth warrior, leaving no trace and no body count. In Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the choice is all yours.
