What is Xbox All Access?

With Xbox All Access, you get an Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S console and 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate including access to over 100 high-quality games and an EA Play membership. With no upfront cost and a low monthly price, Xbox All Access has everything you need to experience next-gen gaming.

Which Xbox consoles can I buy with Xbox All Access?

Currently, you can get either the Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S console with Xbox All Access. Both console options are subject to availability.

Can additional items be added to my Xbox All Access purchase for a low monthly price?

While we’re always looking for new ways to give gamers the best value and choice, right now you can’t add other items such as Xbox accessories or extended warranties to be included in your Xbox All Access monthly payment at this time. However, additional items can be purchased separately.

Does Microsoft provide the financing for Xbox All Access?

No. Microsoft is not extending credit and does not determine credit terms or eligibility. RBC provides financing for Xbox All Access and determines qualifications for, and terms of, credit. You will receive a payment reminder from PayPlanTM by RBC when your payments are due, and you will have secure access to your personal loan details and payment options at any time.

Can I use my credit card instead of PayPlanTM by RBC for my Xbox All Access purchase?

No. Low monthly payments for Xbox All Access are only available by qualifying and accepting an installment loan agreement with PayPlanTM by RBC.

Are there any fees for PayPlanTM by RBC for Xbox All Access?

There are no application fees, no annual fees, no late fees, nor early repayment fees for PayPlanTM by RBC for Xbox All Access. However, late or delinquent payments may be reported to the credit bureaus.

Can I combine Xbox All Access with any other promotional offers?

Xbox All Access is an exclusive, standalone offer and can’t be combined with other offers, such as temporary price reductions or trade-ins, unless specifically stated.

Can I make multiple Xbox All Access purchases?

At this time there is a limit of one Xbox All Access purchase per customer, and only one Xbox All Access purchase can be made per transaction.

Payments and Financing

How does the PayPlanTM by RBC loan application work?

RBC will ask you to provide some basic information including your name, address, and mobile number, as well as consent to run a soft credit check to pre-qualify you. This will not have an impact to your credit score.

If you pre-qualify for financing, you will be conditionally approved for up to a maximum of $1,200 to put towards your Xbox All Access purchase. Once you confirm your console selection and shipping details, you will see your final monthly payment amount including taxes and shipping, which may be lower than your approval limit. Once you complete the checkout process, RBC may run a hard credit check which may impact your credit score.

Once your order is complete, you will receive an email from PayPlanTM by RBC with instructions on how to securely view and manage your loan details and view the amount for your equal monthly payments.

Is PayPlanTM by RBC required for my Xbox All Access purchase?

What is PayPlanTM by RBC?

A loan with PayPlanTM by RBC allows you to purchase Xbox All Access with no upfont cost and a fixed low monthly price.^ PayPlanTM by RBC will notify you when your payments are due every month, and you will be able to access your loan details and manage your payment details at any time. There are no application fees, annual fees, early payoff fees, or late fees: just simple and easy equal monthly payments. Will my credit be impacted when I apply for PayPlanTM by RBC?

Your credit score will not be impacted when you submit your request for pre-qualification for an installment loan from PayPlan™ by RBC. However, if you review and accept the terms of your loan agreement, RBC may perform a credit check which may impact your credit score.

How do I make payments for PayPlanTM by RBC?

Approved customers will receive an email from PayPlanTM by RBC following their Xbox All Access purchase. PayPlanTM by RBC will notify you when your payments are due, and you will have secure access to your personal loan details and payment options at any time. Where can I view the PayPlanTM account summary and payment history?

PayPlanTM by RBC provides an easy and secure way to view your information through their Member Portal. View your account summary, transaction history, and make payments using your PC or mobile device.

What happens if I don’t qualify for a PayPlan™ by RBC installment loan?

In the event you do not qualify for an installment loan with PayPlanTM by RBC, you will be notified at the end of the application process. If you do not qualify for a loan, you will not be able to purchase Xbox All Access. Xbox consoles are subject to availability.

Why was I not able to complete my order after accepting all the financing terms and conditions?

By accepting the loan agreement you have agreed to the terms of the financing subject to final checks. Before checkout is completed, RBC runs a final check. Unfortunately, we cannot share a specific reason for why your loan application was declined. However, rest assured that since your order was not completed, your loan was not issued and there has been no impact to your credit score.

What is Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and what are its benefits?

An Xbox All Access purchase includes 24 months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. So, what happens if I have an existing Xbox Game Pass and/or Xbox Live Gold membership when I purchase a console with Xbox All Access?

If you're already an Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass member, any days remaining in your membership(s) will be converted to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate at a conversion ratio when you redeem the 24-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership and added to your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership up to a maximum of 36 months. Xbox Game Pass Ultimate memberships are limited to 36 months.

If you’re already an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate member, wait until your existing membership has a prepaid balance that is less than 12 months before redeeming the 24-month Ultimate membership through Xbox All Access. You will be unable to redeem with more than 12 prepaid months of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

To check your prepaid balance, sign in to your account through the Microsoft Account page.

What happens to my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership if I return my Xbox All Access purchase?

If you redeemed the 24-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership prior to returning your Xbox All Access purchase, the 24-months of Xbox All Access Ultimate will be removed from your account at time of return.

Digital Direct – redemption of content

I’ve purchased Xbox All Access. How do I redeem Xbox Game Pass Ultimate?

Your 24-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership is delivered directly to your console. Redeem it during initial console setup or later in the Settings app.

To redeem during initial setup:

  • As you set up your new console, you’ll be prompted to redeem the Digital Direct offers that come with it. If you decide not to redeem them then, the offers remain on the console until they’re redeemed.

To redeem after setup in Settings app:

  • Select Settings > Account > Included with this Xbox to see an overview of and redemption status of any Digital Direct offers included with your console.
  • Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select My games & apps > See all > Full Library, and then look under Available offers to see your offers.

What should I do if I purchased Xbox All Access but don’t see an option to redeem Xbox Game Pass Ultimate on my console?

If you do not see an option to redeem your Xbox Game Pass Ultimate through initial setup and/or through the Settings app, please Contact Best Buy Canada with your Xbox All Access Order Number and console Serial Number. Our Best Buy Customer Service team will need to verify your Xbox All Access account and determine next steps.

Does the 24-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership have to go to whoever bought Xbox All Access?

No, anyone can redeem the membership on the console purchased with Xbox All Access.

Order information, cancellation, returns, and exchanges

How can I check my order status?

At this time, you will not be able to check the status of your order through your Best Buy Order History or the Best Buy Find Your Order tool.

The best way to stay informed about the status of your order is by checking the emails sent to you. After your order is complete, you will receive 2 emails from Best Buy: one confirming your order and another email to let you know when your Xbox console has shipped. You will also receive an email from RBC with instructions on how to securely view and manage your loan details, and view the amount for your monthly payments.

Why can’t I see my Xbox All Access order in my Order History?

Xbox All Access is a unique bundle involving a collaboration between three parties: Best Buy for the Xbox console, Microsoft for the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership, and PayPlan by RBC for the loan. For that reason, your Xbox All Access order is not captured in your Best Buy Order History.

However, if you have a question about your order that is not answered in this FAQ, please contact Best Buy Canada and we’ll be happy to help. You will need to reference the Xbox All Access Order Number included in your Best Buy order confirmation email.

Can I return an Xbox console/bundle purchased with Xbox All Access?

If you would like to return your Xbox All Access bundle, the return of the console must be completed and mailed back to Best Buy within 30 days of your initial purchase.

In order to initiate a return, you will need to contact Best Buy Canada with your Xbox All Access Order Number, and we will help you get the return process started. After contacting Best Buy and if your order is eligible for return, we’ll send you an email with a prepaid return shipping label and info on how to mail the console back to us.

Please note, an Xbox All Access return cannot be completed in-store, so we ask that you please contact Best Buy Canada to initiate your return by mail.

Can I cancel an Xbox All Access order?

As long as your order has not been shipped or scheduled for delivery, you can cancel your order. To inquire about canceling your order, please contact Best Buy Canada with your Xbox All Access Order Number, and we will be happy to assist you.

If your order has already been shipped, you will have the option to return your order once you receive it. In order to initiate a return, you will need to contact Best Buy Canada with your Xbox All Access Order Number, and we will help you get the return process started.

If I return my Xbox All Access purchase, do I need to take further action to cancel my Installment loan with PayPlanTM by RBC? What happens to my PayPlanTM by RBC loan for Xbox All Access if I make a return?

Once Best Buy Canada processes your return, any applicable partial or full refund will be automatically applied to your PayPlanTM by RBC loan. Any payments made, in excess of your remaining balance, will be returned by RBC to your payment account on file. Please allow 10 business days for any applicable credits to be issued.

Can I cancel my Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership and reduce my payments?

No. The Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership is included in the Xbox All Access purchase. You cannot cancel your membership and reduce your monthly payment.

Can I exchange my Xbox All Access console for a different product?

No. If the Xbox console you received is defective, you may only exchange it for the same Xbox All Access console.

Repairs, Warranty, and Hardware Troubleshooting

What happens if my console breaks?

With Xbox All Access, you own the console and 24-month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership outright upon purchase. If your console breaks within 30 days, please review our Return Policy for complete details on how to complete a return or exchange. If you have additional questions, please Contact Best Buy Canada for more information.

The Microsoft Limited Warranty covers the Xbox console for one year (90 days for the controller and accessories), irrespective of the length of your financing term. If your console malfunctions after that one-year period (or your controller or accessories malfunction after 90 days), you would be responsible. Please note, monthly payments will continue until the remaining balance on your PayPlanTM by RBC loan for Xbox All Access is paid in full, even if your Xbox console is not working.
