Great picture!

Once I tweaked the colours and settings I was thoroughly pleased with this monitor. Don't forget to set the hz speed in your video card advanced settings. Once I set it to 75hz, the colours became more vibrant. Yes, changing your hz speed does affect your picture as it changes how colours are reproduced (research it). Those that are not happy with the monitor out of the box, either aren't setting their colours right or haven't set it to 75hz. I downloaded the ControlMyMonitor software and this allows me to save my settings as profile files. So I can play around with the settings knowing I have my profile(s) saved on file incase I screw up the settings. Love the low profile frame. One thing I would change is have the inputs facing downward for easier wall mounting. I have to go buy a 90degree hdmi cable or adapter to mount it.. but other than that, couldn't ask for more for the price. About the speakers.. who cares, you shouldn't base your buying decision on those.

Great monitor

Great monitor, way bigger then I thought originally and picture quality is excellent! If the purpose of the monitor for you is gaming or other forms of media, i would suggest a set of speakers as the built in ones dont have the highest sound quality, altogether a great all around monitor!

Nice monitor for the price, NO DVI as previously indicated

At least Bestbuy has updated the description and removed the pictures that clearly showed that this monitor had DVI input. I pointed out to the store staff, that the site indicated it had this and no DP port. I wanted DVI. Not a deal breaker, as the screen is fine with VGA for the PC I am using, I wanted the HDMI and gaming support for XBOX usage. That works fantastic. I have tried several DVI to DP cables with no success, so I am stuck with VGA. BB should have included a converter cable to those that bought these under the pretenses that it had a DVI input.

Great monitor

I found this monitor to do a very good job for gaming easy to set it up and adjust to what you want and as for others complaining about ghosting all you need to do is turn off the overdrive which is so easy to do and the problem is gone. I also found it great for watching videos. Bought it on sale and very much worth the money and will be keeping it

Remove the overdrive feature!

I saw some reviews saying that there was ghosting and it's true if the overdrive feature is enabled but remove it and the ghosting is gone. I don't know what's the point of this feature... There is also a supersharp mode which looks pretty bad in my opinion. But when you disable these features the monitor is very good for the price.

Mine Flickers

I think it's a defect. plug it in and it starts flickering after a few minutes.

Underwhelming

Major issue that I ran into in under 15 minutes of use was 3 of the 5 menu buttons on the monitor stopped responding to taps preventing me from accessing some of the options to change brightness and input. Image quality for a 1920x1080 resolution isn't that great with slight ghosting when dragging things around the screen or text characters being spread across too many pixels causing inconsistencies in line darkness and width. Will be returning it. Also for clarification, the monitor does NOT have a direct DVI port in the back. It has 1 VGA, 1 HDMI, and 1 Display Port. Don't listen to any sales person saying it has DVI like I did.

returned in 30 mins

Bought it and returned it in 30 mins. I can't believe this worth this much. Even if it is a half price of this current price, I would still return it.

Great Monitors, Great Price, Limited Reviews

I bought these monitors roughly 2 weeks ago, love them. They're massive, the color is well balanced through the entire screen, I use one landscape and one portrait for coding and it works beautifully. The people commenting about ghost and poor performance probably don't know how to calibrate monitors. The instructions and reviews for the monitor are very limited so it takes some time to figure it out for yourself. Would recommend and would buy again. I work in film production and front end developing so I just had to take some time

Looks Good, Functions Terrible

While the monitor itself looks great with it's thin design and slim bezel, with a great looking 27" TN display; there is a negative that drag this monitor down. The ghosting on thials monitor is terrible, and the only way to get it to stop (Overdrive setting in the menus) either doesn't allow you to turn it off or resets itself and then refuses to change seemingly at random. After hours of searching and trying various fixes, I have come across no ways to fix the issue, and thus would not recommend this monitor to anyone.

Horrible quality, returning.

I know 27" is a lot to stretch 1080p over, but this is beyond bad. It's fixed in a single overdrive mode by Acer to fix a previous problem and can't be adjusted. This results in a very grainy picture with nasty ghosting. Even text scrolling causes image problems.. are these review for a different monitor?? Honestly, I removed it after two days, I thought I could feel my eyes being damaged.

Not Happy

Bought the monitor on sale 2 days ago, came in the mail today, not even 1 hour of using it, and the monitor is having problems. When you scroll, the text / picture is leave a trailing image / ghosting affect. Super annoying for me. Going to return it back to the store today & get a different monitor. Also I personally feel that 27" inch is just way to big of a monitor for gaming / working. I am going to get a LG IPS 24" monitor instead.

Not the best, but works fine.

I bought this monitor 2 days ago on sale. I like it. Only thing is that I had to mess with the colors through my Nvidia graphics card settings, because the default color settings on this monitor look AWFUL and the menu to change it on the monitor is just too complicated.

Just got 2 of these

Just got two of these yesterday, so this review is only over the past 24 hours. I love them, they are huge, look great when mounted to dual monitor mount via the versa mounts. Screens appear to be crisp for a TN type monitor. Colors seems nice as well. The internal menu system could be a little more intuitive, but I was able to figure out how to switch inputs within a few minutes. The only thing that would be nicer, is a higher resolution, which is available for a premium in another model. However, the pixel density @ 27" is still decent. Overall, so far pleased with my purchase. Got both on sale for 200ea

good monitor

The monitor seems good, but it didn't come with an HDMI cable (although a previous review by Achilles said it did). In the 'whats in the box' it does not list an HDMI cable. I was just a bit surprised.

Awesome

Ordered the TN monitor on sale. It has an amazing screen. It takes a couple of minutes to set it up. Great for PC/PS4 gaming and watching movies. The monitor controls are easy to understand. You get an HDMI and VGA cable along with a 3.5mm audio cable to connect external speakers. The inbuilt speakers are fairly good. There is also a dedicated button for cycling through the input modes. I would highly recommend this monitor.

Very poorly designed menu system ( its awful)

I have had several ACER monitors in the past. However this one has the worse menu system I have ever used. The buttons are hiding under the face of the monitor really cumbersome to access. When you do access the menu its a crapshoot on trying to make changes. Its so frustrating I just gave up.

Two different monitors, same problem

I got this monitor once, and had a problem with trailing images. Took it back, got the same model and hoped for a change, but the second model has the same problem. Would not recommend this monitor to anyone since this isn't an issue with cords or anything, but a firmware issue that Acer needs to fix themselves. Extremely unhappy

Meh

After 2 weeks of use, a dead pixel. Returned everything. I'm unsure of this build quality. I have 2 K272HL and have been running them for 4 years with no issue.

Great monitor

I got this today and the quality is really nice from acer. however, if you dont have much room on your desk and sit very close you will find that the screen is very stressful for the eye to concentrate on over a long period of time. So i would recommend getting a 20 or 24 inch monitor instead of this 27 because it is just a little too big. but overall the quality of the product is excellent, the built is good, display quality is superb.
