Waste of money

Horrible. Crashes constantly. Suddenly shifts audio from headphones to out loud. Freezes constantly. Randomly stops being able to be charged. Sometimes won't connect to wifi for no reason. You can't listen to music without it pausing/buffering constantly. Great if the only thing you want to do with your laptop is have one tab open to take notes on Google Docs while your wifi is off, or if you want to embarrass yourself in public. You can only access terrible online versions of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, etc. I'm not a tech person and even I know this is a horrible, cheaply made excuse for a laptop. I can't get ANYTHING done with this as a student. I can't take it to class because it's so unreliable and will simply stop working for no reason periodically. Really, genuinely terrible. You're better off getting an iPad or other tablet with a keyboard attachment, honestly, if you're looking for a cheap laptop. This one's just not functional.

IPS display

IPS display is a rare treat at this price point...and decently bright to boot with a matt finish. OK N2840 processsor with a average octane 2.0 score of 9000 good for browsing .

Good for a while

When I first got this computer I was quite impressed. Cheap. Fast. Long Battery Life. It was perfect for what I needed it for (school, Netflix, Spotify) However after using it for nearly two years, it started to lose it's charge faster and become a lot slower. I would recommend this computer to someone that isn't planning to use it for a long time.

Acer Chromebook

Had a Samsung Chromebook for years and had no issues, but needed a new Chromebook, so purchased the Acer. Hardware is good, nice screen and keyboard, but the machine crashes all the time. Not sure whether it is the Chromebook or the Google software, but the laptop crashes far too often to be a useful business machine. I do not use it with clients because I am worried it will freeze up. Even with updates, the problem persists. Very disappointed. Will not purchase another Chromebook.

You get what you pay for

It shipped quickly to me and I've been pretty happy with it. The only issue i have is that it crashes if I have too much stuff open, but its my fault since I was supposed to only use it for school and notes originally. I really like the screen, its kinda glazed over so it doesn't have annoying glare. The mouse pad took a bit of getting used to, plus the general interface, but once I got over that learning curve its my favourite mini laptop when i'm on the go. I never bought a case for it and just store it in my backpack and it also seems to be very sturdy. Obviously not meant for gaming or anything fancy but for the cost that's obviously expected.

needs more RAM - crashes often

This Chromebook is lightweight, great funtionality and design, but because of it's small amount of RAM continually crashes and freezes. I would not have bought this model, if I had known ahead of time.

Impressive but limit

When I said impressive, I do mean it. For a notebook cost under CAD300, and able to do basic web-browsing plus Google Drive provides necessary tools for users to record documents. It is a wonderful notebook target for students or towards elders. The downside is not having full access to Mircosoft and it may lag due to the internet signal. My advice for the user is to find a stable network.

Garbage

I bought this chrome book online, but it never worked. It shuts off on its own. I took it back to nearest Best Buy and they replaced it for me, i assumed it may be a faulty piece other one should work fine but really surprised the 2nd one has the same problem, shuts off on its own. So i returned it. Just wasted my time
