very capable at a great price

This is really a bargain considering the combination of 4GB RAM, >32 GB storage, kick stand, and detachable keyboard included. The screen also supports the n-trig digitizer so surface pens work on it. From experience, this is quite a bit faster (30-50%?) than atom x5/x7 2-in-1s. It's also very Linux friendly, the touchscreen efi boot selection screen is great, and all the hardware had drivers out of the box without tinkering. Kudos to acer for including both a traditional full size USB type A port and the new type C port AND a dedicated charging port. No silly dongles or hubs required. I do recommend using Windows 10 fresh start to remove bloatware and unnecessary occupied storage. It was trivial to do, and had no issues with the digital license. The keyboard is the Canadian layout, which I am not a fan of, but can't complain since it was included for free and doubles as a screen protector when traveling. Solid purchase, build quality is excellent. Also, no heat and completely fanless.

Good Value Hybrid

The Switch 3 is pretty good value for the money when you consider the alternatives in the hybrid laptop/tablet category currently available in Canada. I was seriously considering a Surface Pro before I bought the Switch 3, but just couldn't justify double the price tag for the lowest model. The Switch 3 comes with it's keyboard in the box, which is great; but it is missing the stylus unfortunately. Which brings me to the reason why I'm only giving it 4 stars at the moment... It's basically impossible to find the stylus pen for the switch 3/5 anywhere online or in-store at the moment, which is a let down, considering it's one of the main reasons I wanted a laptop/tablet hybrid. (If anyone knows where to order the Stylus from online, let me know!) Overall though, If you're primarily using the device for simple web browsing and taking notes etc. the switch 3 is a much cheaper and great alternative to the more expensive Surface Pro's.
