AeroGarden Sprout Hydroponic Garden System - White

It has now been almost 11 weeks since I first got this, and I ate my first tomato yesterday! For a little while, nothing was changing with the plants, and I got sort of concerned. But then I cut several branches off of the plant and the tomatoes immediately started to ripen!

I went to camp as a youngster and we all had small autograph books (which many of you may relate to). Well, back then, in mine, my Mother wrote "down by the seashore carved on a rock are the words 'forget-me-not'. Love, Mother". She passed away 3.5 years ago. In an attempt to embrace everything she said and did, I've been trying, amongst other things, to grow forget-me-nots on my windowsill. First with seeds, second time I ordered a plant. Both times proved unsuccessful. Just didn't thrive Soil, water and insects are an impediment to indoor container gardening. Then I placed some forget-me-not seeds in Aerogarden grow sponges and put it in the Sprout alongside the petunias, and the forget-me-nots grew so quickly and tall! I had to transfer them to a jar! Finally, I grew forget-me-nots! I have a Bounty too, that I grow herbs and vegetables in, and if I were fortunate enough to have ten Aerogardens, I would only be limited by my imagination. I could grow all the flowers and vegetables/herbs to my heart's content. Aerogarden prevails when all else fails!

Comes with everything you need to start growing your own herbs. You can also order additional pods to grow different herbs then the ones it comes with. The options are endless! I can't wait to garnish my dishes with my own herbs!

I got my sprout just a few days ago and the setup was super simple, fill to the water line, add nutrients, plug it in and place the pods in with the humidity domes. dont worry about the light until you see sprouts then if you want to change when the light comes on like say in the morning, just reset the light cycle early in the morning, then it will automatically turn off after the time and turn back on automatically as well. Feed ONE capful of the feeding solution on start up, then 2 weeks later add more, if you forget the device light blinks red on the top to remind you. All in all this little thing is perfect. at first I thought it would be weird not having any interface except for a button and light and usually those systems are confusing and annoying, this has 2 simple commands and one alert so its super simple, manual has clear instructions as well so props to aerogarden on that. If you are thinking of going with something small for your kitchen to spice some meals up now and then this is perfect, would also make a perfect anywhere piece as the light it emits is pleasant soft white compared to other blurple (blue red purple) lights. this also allows you to see the plants in full light that we are familiar with, easily finding any issues the plant could have. Honestly this would also be a good addition to any current Aerogarden you DO have because you can now use the other model to grow bigger things and the sprout to grow your smaller crops or even flowers on a side table would make this thing look right at home.

We have been growing the herbs (parsley, basil and dill) and all have been very successful. Very successful. I have never seen so many herbs. We're very happy as my wife usually grows these outdoors in the Spring and Summer, and now we can do it indoors all year long.
