- Provides a lot of data.Reviewed by Jkc83 - June 5, 2019
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing does a lot! You'll need a smart phone and the app to get things going. Install it and wait a week so it can calibrate. Then you're off and running and able to see all kinds of interesting data about the air quality of your house. This will read the radon, TVOCs, CO2, humidity, temperature, and barometric pressure inside your house. It suggests installing downstairs. We have this in the hallway downstairs which is kind of in the middle of the house. It seems to get a pretty good reading there. The app is pretty cool because it will show you the data over weeks, months, hours etc. This is great for anyone who wants to keep an eye on the stuff you cant see. With a new baby, I find myself really wanting to monitor the air quality of our home. We also have 2 dogs so I want to be sure everything is as safe as possible for everyone in our home. The unit itself is super easy to install. You have to mount a little plate but then the actual device has a magnet and it just sticks on there. It's about the size of a smoke detector. You can also wave your hand in front of it and get a color coded response about the quality of your air. I've had this up for about a month now. I havent had any issues with the unit so far and no problems with the app. Very simple to use but there is a lot of information and data. I've had to do a little research on certain things because I didnt know all of the elements it checks for. Overall this would be a good unti for anyone who is concerned about air quality in their home. Or just wants to be extra safe from those things you cant always see.

I have an Airthings Wave Plus that was reporting weekly averaged Radon level ranging from 6.5 to as high as 11.5 pCi/L in our living space. The levels were so high that I suspected the accuracy of the results however when I located directly over the sump pit, I was blown away by the peak reading of 169pCi/L and realized immediate action was necessary. I installed a Radon mitigation system early this week and Radon levels have consistently trended downward, well below anything I have measured to date. Levels are now ranging from 1.4-1,7 pCi/L. This is a "Must Have" device for anyone concerned with home air quality, particularly in a pandemic when most of us are spending more time working from home.

This meter helped identify a radon reading of 4500 Bq/m3 in our house, and correlate environmental factors with attributed to the high levels. With this information, we were able to develop our own mitigation plan that has seen our levels drop to less than 250!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have tested this air quality monitor for about 10 days. The device itself is almost the size of mini google home. It was pretty easy to install and download the app for our android phone and pair it. The entire set up process took less than 20 mins. It does require AA batteries which was provided in the box. You can wave your hands in front of the device to see the current air quality of the room. It will either turn to green, orange or red depending on the quality of the room. We tried this device in summer and when the room got hot, it showed that the air quality was poor because of the heat. I have read that it is best to test radon which is one of the best features of this device in winter as the doors and windows are shut and you get to test the real radon in the house. So we are eagerly waiting to retest radon in winter. For summer, it does show that the radon test is good. We have tested the air quality in most of the rooms with this device and it is very consistent and we really like this device as it is reassuring. This is what you would want when you have small children at home. Totally worth it.
