Embarassing POS Product. DO NOT BUY!!!!

I would give NO STARS if it was an option. Bought 2 sets (one for myself and one for my wife). The sound quality is terrible, continuous disconnections, and my wife's didn't even start up after charging. The red charging light just stayed on solid after disconnecting the charging cable and wouldn't turn on. I talked to Altec Lansing "Support" and they told me to just let the battery run out and it will reset. Firstly, that's how you damage this type of battery technology, reducing how long it will last, and secondly, who the hell wants to wait 8+ hours for the battery to run down just so you can use headphone that should work in the first place? I told "Support" that most devices can be reset by holding the power button down for an extended length of time - why isn't their device capable. Their response? "Because this is a waterproof device and cannot be opened". What?? What does that have to do with this? Best Buy, you should be ashamed to have this product in your store. NEVER AGAIN will I purchase an Altec Lansing product after this experience. So much for 'brand trust'.

Poorly built

Bought these for my daughter in university. She had them less than 60 days and the button control mechanism came apart then would catch on clothing and snapped off. We had the Geek Protection, seems to be a bit of a rip off actually. I go in to get them fixed up and they replaced them. Great but then he says that the Geek Warranty is now over and I have to buy it again for the new ones if I want it. I hmm'd and haw'd about it then he says you have 14 days to buy it. So I take them home and check them out and read that there is a 1 year Manufacturers warranty on parts and labour..... well then why am I using the Geek Warranty when it's still covered by the manufacturer? Seems I should've been able to get them replace under Altec Lansing's warranty rather than using the Geek Warranty. The Geek Warranty shouldn't kick in unless it's something the manufacturer won't cover or after the manufacturers warranty expires. I'm going to Best Buy to discuss tomorrow.

Worst customer service/solution ever. Done with BestBuy/Altec Lansing

I bought these and they didnt work after charging out of the box. I contacted tech support several times and none of their solutions solved the problem (even spending 5 days discharging the device to factory settings). Then they wanted me to pay to send it back. I'd rather eat the cost. They wont accept returns for headphones in store after the box is open either. Avoid both companies.

Good fit, lousy sound and connectivity

I bought these because of the brand name, as well as the design. I was looking for a pair of headphones that fit - most of the ones I bought in the past were uncomfortable or just fell out of my ears. When I got them home, a piece of plastic fell out of the package. The housing of the volume control was cracked. But I decided to try them on and after changing out the ear bud and the other rubber tip, they actually fit my ears! But when I turned them on, it took forever to pair with my iPhone6. Then when they paired I thought the volume was too low. Turns out they had no base whatsoever and tinny sound. And they randomly cut out and lost connection to the music in the middle of a song. Now I know what you are thinking - you can't expect much at this price. You'd be right. Save your money for a better pair

terrible

Terrible. I ordered a pair, and the mic and volume button fell off before I opened the box. Got a new pair and the same thing happened again a few weeks later.

Don’t waste your money!

My headphone is with faulty wire and bad connection on left side, in the first usage. Sound quality is poor, low volume and low bass. It isn’t worthy.

Dead out of the box

Could get the red light to charge it, but it never turned off to indicate it was finished charging. Couldn't get it to power on for pairing, either (followed instructions to hold down power button for 3 - 5 seconds). Could be a case of bad luck, but other online reviews seem to indicate I'm not alone in having these issues. Looks like these are just some of the cheap, generic Chinese bluetooth headsets available online with the Altec Lansing name on them.

Amazing Product

I just got this and tried it for the first time and I was pretty impressed for the quality of the product. Its great for if your going for a run or a walk and if someone calls you you don't even have to touch your phone. I recommend buying this and trying it out for your self.
