I have 2. Works Great.

I've bought these a few times. Unfortunately, the first one was stolen, the second one, I lost the charger. So now I have 2, with 1 charger. Currently trying to find a new charger. Don't loose it, they are damn nigh impossible to find, and Alura tech has never gotten back to me, even after 2 emails, several attempts on their Forum, and messages on their help number. Terrible customer service. That said, the devise works great!!

What a waste of time and effort. Worked for a week then dropped the connection. Re-paired it, finally after many attempts of not connecting it finally did. Then it worked for two days. Now it refuses to connect again. Going to return it

  • from Scarborough, ON

Easy to set-up (read instructions) and gives flawless sound

Picked this up last week. Took about five minutes to connect to my Grace radio and then pair with SoundBlaster speakers. First time and it's been working fine even after turning off both the radio and speakers and then restarting. Highly recommend buying this small; but powerful adapter. PS: Look for open box times at the store and save a few dollars. If not happy, same return policy from Best Buy.

Can I give 0 stars? Worked for maybe 3 months. I wouldn't recommend anyone buy this. Where's my replacement Aluratek or Best Buy?

I bought one of these adaptors, it pairs but nothing really happens! Tried many things to trouble shoot but waste of time. Don't even bother to think about it.

  • from Oshawa

It works for 3 months after that doesnt work at all.

  • from Toronto, ON

stop working after 6 months

Worked well for about 6 months. Then the unit would not charged and the red light stayed on all the time.

  • from Vancouver, BC

Horrible power connector

The device itself seems to be working fine, but the power connector is junk. I had to open the case, remove the connector, and hard wire the power cord to the board to get it working. If you don't feel like opening the case and busting out the soldering iron, expect frustration with the power connector.

Worked ok for less than a year .Issue with the power connector. The cablesplit at the connection ,It's not very good

  • from Toronto, ON

Not very good

Mine broke after about 2 months.Issue with the power connector. Has poor connection stability on the Bluetooth too.

Good value for a handy gizmo

After using a couple of cheaper BT adapters I have found this to be a more robust unit. My only complaint is the length of the cable. A 24" cable would allow me to place the unit in a more convenient location.

  • from Guelph, ON

Works great!

Using it to stream from notebook to home audio system, works perfectly. Comes with stereo-to-RCA ('Y') audio adapter cable. Battery lasts many hours, no need to recharge often. Great price too.

  • from Glace Bay, NS

Does its job well

I went with this product over a cheap one and it's paid off, range is at least 30ft but get much shorter through walls, good product.

  • from Toronto, ON

Works well with my stereo...

and various blue-tooth enabled devices. Construction is a little flimsy.

  • from Brampton, ON

Worth it!!

really good with bass and can be charged while using it... i think the range is better then 33' tbh my rooms upstairs and i went outside and it was still clear.

  • from Toronto, ON

Good Product could use a more robust plastic cover

It just looks and feels cheap. It was likely more money for the packaging than the product, so lower the price or give more value ... but it works extremely well and pairs easily with 4 items tried so far.

Works with SoungTouch 30 Series II

Plugged this into the sound jack (and the USB port) on the back of my SoungTouch 30 Series II. Just works!

  • from Vancouver, BC

Just what I was looking for

This thing works great, pairs easily and the battery lasts. Buy it!

  • from Corner Brook, NL

As advertied

Works as claims say. Connected to my Bose docking station, no issues. Playing from Nexus 4 phone. [...] good investment. I like that you don't need power outlet to use like some other units.

  • from Toronto

Doesnt work for iphone 6

Will not pair with iphone 6 but doesn't claim to either, but still gave it a try

Pretty Good

I bought this in order to wirelessly transmit various music sources (mp3's, Slacker, RDIO, Spotify, etc.) to my home theatre from various devices (iPad, Android cell phones, Playbook, etc.). I wanted to listen to these music sources on my Yamaha home theatre 7.1 and Bose speakers rather than the little speakers in my ipad, etc. After reading several of the bad reviews, I was expecting that I also would not be satisfied and would probably be bringing it back. To my surprise, it's not bad and I'm keeping it. The good: No trouble bluetooth pairing with my mobile devices. Transmits very well from reasonable distances (40 feet) with no obstacles, but it was sporadic at 50 feet and through walls. Fidelity was very good - I couldn't hear much difference from a CD source. The not so good: It doesn't have HDMI output, but rather a 3.5 mm plug (not on my system), but luckily it also comes with a RCA adaptor cable. Also, the power is supplied by plugging it into a USB port. If you intend on using this with your home theatre, check firtst if you have these necessary spare connections. Otherwise you’ll probably be returning it.

Working really well

I bought this several months ago and have just ordered another for pick up tomorrow. Works really well on Bose equipment and runs a long time on a charge. Took a long time to find it last time as so many salesmen thought I was nuts when asking for it. Would not have any other devise for this use. Might even buy an extra one for myself as this new one is for a close friend of ours.

Great Product!!

Bought this so I could wirelessly listen to music in my truck while being able to control it though my smart watch. Hasnt let me down yet. Bought it months ago and I'm still only on the first battery charge! (used several times a week/ 45-50 min at a time). Very nice to be able to use it and it hides so easily. No complaints at all!

  • from Kingston On

Decent product

Easy to setup, poor range through walls

  • from Milton

Great item, multi purpose

Used on outdoor speakers and on Bose docking station.. Cuts out very rarely, distance pretty good, about 30 feet

  • from Toronto, ON

Terrible range

I bought this receiver to put on an Altec Lansing ipod dock with the old apple Pin, for use in my office. It had a range of less than 10 feet and was very choppy. It would have been easier to just have a long aux cable for all the benefit this gave. I ended up returning it but I also imagine the fact that you have to recharge it via usb from time to time would have become annoying.

Works Great With My BlackBerry Q10

Great sound, works great wirelessly from my BlackBerry Q10 to computer, tv, speaker system and even my workplace's RCA input stereo system. Range is minimal, but will work through some walls (such as through office and bathroom walls). Cord is a bit tiny which makes me feel like I might break it everytime I pull it out, but otherwise works great.

bought this item few days ago i brought it to work on stereo and it works over 30 feet away amazing product will pick up few more :)

  • from Burnaby, BC

Size is good, performance NOT

i bought this unit because the size is good to conceal amongst the many gadgets i have on my receiver table . But was disappointed with its performance. The range was absolutely short, not even the usual 10m bluetooth range. The signal breaks if the source is just a bit blocked from the unit. Even a chair in between the unit and the audio source breaks the signal. I've returned the item since and got the Philips bluetooth adapter instead. A bit more expensive than the Aluratek but hey it works.

so they were sold out in the store....but they had a special order done for me and it got here in 2 days with no extra costs. I'm pretty good with Bluetooth so I really had no problem setting it up without instructions. just have to hold power button to turn off and on. does exactly what I need it to do and hopefully will be able to use it on a receiver. would recommend

  • from Edmonton, AB

Does what it's suposed to do

Instructions are a bit vague but customer support responded to my e-mail within 24hrs and it worked well. Using it on a old soundbar that does not have bluetooth and it's working well.

  • from Saint Catharines, ON

very happy

I was amazed that this product does exactly what it says it does and was so simple to set up

  • from Etobicoke, ON

Alurateck bluetooth adapter

On average it works moderately when connected with Home Theater . I used it with Denon by connecting with I phone, The sound quality was fine, Not superb, The blue tooth does not cover through walls , It requires that you should be in open space with it while you are connected with Iphone.. However I recommend it to others as it has converted my Denon to Bluetooth for a reasonable price. And I can enjoy my songs available on my Bluetooth enabled devices.

  • from Laval, QC

Works well but range is not as advertised

I'm using this adapter to stream music from my iPad to my computer speakers. So far, it works very well as long as im in the same room. As soon as you get further than 10 feet it will start to cut. Seems to be the problem with almost all bluetooth devices. The box says that it will work at a distance up to 33 feet. I'm not too convinced. Other than the range, pairing and charging is easy. The sound quality is very good as long as you're in range. Good product.

  • from Kitchener, ON
