5 Channels in Guelph, Ontario

This is not a bad antenna. However, it’s not a multidimensional as described. The instructions says to aim to the direct of the TV stations/antenna to receive the signal. It picks up less channels than I expected. I am Guelph, Ontario and this antenna can only pick up 3 HD channels when set indoor next to a window pointing SE. When I tried it outside on my covered deck pointing SE, it picks up 5 HD channels, CII-HD (Global), CHCH, CKCO, TVO, CITS-HD. All channels are in HD quality.

GREAT PRODUCT

Bought this during Black Friday sale, so price was 5 stars. I have quite a bit of experience with OTA TV and its associated equipment, so im not a newbie when it comes to these products. I live 30 miles east of Toronto in Oshawa, near the lake. Hooked this antenna up indoors paired with a 14 db amp and receive all Toronto stations, the big 3 from the US (ABC,CBS and NBC with their subchannels). This antenna equals the performance of my Antennas Direct DB2E, which i have been using previously. This antenna is more pleasing to the eyes, and it doesnt need to be mounted as it comes with a stand. Very impressed with this product. Just remember location has a lot to do with how antennas perform, so your mileage may vary.

Works well, indoors sitting on floor on 2nd floor. 12 channels

Down on main floor 2MAX received 4 channels. Up on 2nd floor it received 12 channels. In attic or on roof would probably be best. Of the 12 channels, 8 are 'silly' channels (religious 'yes', 2 omni, kids TVO. French, etc) but it got the 4 main channels I wanted (CBC, CTV, CITY, GLOBAL, plus CHCH). I am in central-western Mississauga close to credit river. It is trivial to install, just take out of box, sit on the floor, and connect with coax to the TV. If you want better reception or more signal-to-noise margin (for rainy-snowy days) then the "4MAX" would give slightly better signal. Adding an inline amp was useless, it made the signal too high and the tv rejected it. As-is with no amp the antenna drives 40ft of RG60 coax just fine.
