Best tool ever.

First of all, the other review goes on about how Ipad pro doesn't do all this stuff you expect from a common tablet. Ipad Pro isn't a common tablet. It is a specific tool for professionals. I use it for comic book art. Others use it for photo and movie editing. Some use it for design or architectural or design creating. This is what the Ipad Pro is made to excel at. You don't buy a Lamborghini to car pool in, you buy a mini van. The Ipad Pro is a Lamborghini, it's fast and beautiful. I replaced all my art supplies and went 100% digital once I learned how to use the Ipad Pro, and believe me, it took more than 5 days. I'm so impressed, in fact, that I am considering buying a second as a backup for a long day of creativity. I seem to do a lot more creating since the Ipad Pro came into my life. Nuff said.

12.9 ipad is too big, ios not adapted for it's size.

Returned ipad pro 12.9 after 5 days. The 12.9 is too big. It's very cumbersome in a train/bus. In ibooks, some books only show one page...what a disappointment, you can't even see split pages in all your books, So you see a grey border on each side. You would think that they would offer 3 pages since its such a big device. Feels dumb to have the same functionality of a 9.7 ipad. Safari is a pain to use. To search, you have to take your hand away from holding the big device so that you can touch the search box in the upper mid screen. That gets the keyboard to pop up. The keyboard takes up too much screen space. It's not even adjustable. They could have had the search box appear in the keyboard itself once it had appeared since your focus is on the keyboard now. They could have had a search button near the bottom right corner, where your hand is, in order to activate the keyboard. They could have had an adjustable keyboard. Split screen forces you to see apps next to each other. A note app would have been better placed below so that the lateral space is more natural to type in. The surface pro 4 lets you open a note app with a click of it's pen. In ipad, you have to open the app and then tell it that you want to use a pen instead of keyboard. Even then, the ipad note app will not differentiate notes with a pen from drawings from a pen. When you put the note app in full screen, everything just gets blown up bigger. Notes written with the pen will not wrap around to take up less space since they where originally written in a narrow column format. The ipad pen is too big. The surface pro pen is much better weight balanced and the has a virtual eraser on the top. The ipad pro pen has no eraser, you have to select it in the app. The ipad surface is sensitive to pressure whereas I believe the surface pro pen is sensitive to pressure. I thinks it smarter to have the pen sensitive to pressure. I don't like the idea of taking the hard ipad pen and pushing into the ipad, kinda weird. Real paint brushes move, not the canvas. An added negative, for previous ipad owners is that their ipads wont work with pressure whereas a system where the pen reacts to pressure like the surface pro allows you to just buy the pen. Many apps show a pop up message telling you that the app is not efficient for your device. So why did I buy a 12.9? it has a worse camera, no ibook benefits, search is more ackward, apps are not obligated to upgrade. The app icons are just bigger, you don't get a sense of a better presentation with the added screen space. It has a comical feel to see big app icons. Kinda like they haven't put enough thought into the user friendliness of the 12.9 ipad pro. Very awkward user experience. Didn't even feel like hauling it out of my bag. Awkward to settle in your lap. No usb, no mouse, its a big awkward badly thought out ipad. It really felt strange leaving the apple store after returning the product. I couldn't believe that happened. Money was not an issue. I wanted a great device. Even google search brings out results with white space on each side. One year after the 12.9 and the search result format forces you to adjust screen zooming to see the search results. 5 days after buying, returned the ipad pro 12.9.
