- Good Tablet and Enough for Many- May 15, 2021
Mostly great. Favorite form factor of all the iPads for it's portability. Main tablet for around the house use, reading and lugging around. He form factor of Google's discontinued Nexus 7 tablet, which Apple copied to make this, was better though and I miss the Nexus 7 dearly. iPad Mini is just too wide to be completely comfortable to use. Also, find it to be a little buggy with freezes and glitches happening more than I expected and iPadOS/iOS leaves some things to be desired. And of course it's super expensive. All of that being said, however, I do for the most part enjoy the tablet and choose to use this for casual use over the bigger iPad Air.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Moved up!- May 29, 2021
I purchased my first iPad mini back when the latest was mini 2. When the screen gave signs of giving up, I purchased the newest update, mini 5. And I have LOVED it. I am happily making the necessary mental adjustments to the newer apps, and enjoying the improved operating speed. I've always preferred the iOS interface over that of Windows, plus the iPad is eminently more portable than my laptop. I do not carry a cell phone but my iPad fulfills many of the same functions. As with my first iPad, the finish on the iPad mini is naturally slick making it somewhat difficult to hold onto while using, especially taking photos. I feel that a cover is mandatory!Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
- Excellent Simple Computer- March 6, 2021
I've never been a huge fan of Apple products, but it's difficult to find any faults with the iPad mini. I bought this to have a mini entertainment station in my baby's nursery for during feedings where I could amuse myself and also track feedings and changings. It's a good little gadget for simple browsing, chatting, and entertainment so long as you don't mind movies on a teensy screen. The only reason I took a star off is that, since I know from having an earlier iPad, its longevity is limited. Apple's MO of forcing updates to machines that can't run them resulting in slowdown is shameful and disgustingly wasteful. But hey, that's life in the year 2021.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.
