Stay far far away from any ASUS products - warranty is terrible

I purchased my Asus desktop PC 11 months ago. Now I have been in the IT industry for over 30 years, so know a little of what I am talking about. From day 1 this PC has locked up, every day, normally 2 times a day. I have taken pictures of the screen and sent to Asus, it has now been sent back to Asus to be repaired 4 times. I have spent probably 50 or 60 hours on the phone with their support people. My tickets have been escalated to level 2 and level 3 support. Every time they say no problem found and send it back to me, even though they have pictures of the problem. The last time it was sent in I was promised a new PC. Well they sent me my original back again. Again same problem, I then talked to their level 3 support and once again promised a new PC, this time to ensure all would go as promised, they would cross ship me my new one, then I would send the old one back. They would take 2 days to locate a new one for me. In 2 days they called said the person looking for their stock was off sick and would take another day or 2. Over a week later, still no call, so I called level 3 support again, reply is we are still looking, will get back to you today or tomorrow. Still 2 days and no call back. Now I am getting upset, so called them once again, this time to be told, oh, we are not going to replace it, and don’t send it back because it will just be returned to you, (like they always have done). I am now convinced that their products are the worst pieces of crap on the market today. Their technicians are totally incompetent when they can’t even find a problem they have right in front of them in almost a year. Their warranty that their site and their telephone hold recordings boast that they are so proud of, is not even worth the paper it is written on or the air time they play it over. Plus you obviously can’t believe a word their support people at any level tell you because it is all a pack of lies. In addition to this, you would not believe the number of times I have been “accidentally” hung up on, sometimes after anywhere from 15 – 60 mins on hold. Only to go back through the entire hold procedure again. If you are considering a new computer, I would strongly recommend you look to a different manufacturer, and save yourself a very large headache, hours upon hours of on hold phone time (that is probably valuable to you), and avoid they lies that are being told by them.
