Piece of junk

I bought this computer in March 2018. It has considerable issues starting up, taking forever to get to the password screen. When turning it on it takes considerable time to boot up it. When shutting the lid and reopening, often times will just have a black screen and will not wake up. Computer is super laggy. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

affordable and efficient

I bought this laptop few months ago for basic stuff for what I need in a laptop ie. surfing, printing, emailing and etc. I loved this laptop from the beginning I bought it, affordable price for what is worth of having this laptop. It is fast performance and it does not get heat fast. The only issue I've seen is that I could not use the CD/DVD player on this, I've tried to download app for the video player but it still does not work so for me the CD/DVD player is useless, Otherwise I love the performance of this laptop for basic stuffs.

No Optical Drive!

Ok well love the computer works great. Here is the issue. In the Specs it says that it comes witha dvd writer for an optical drive. But there is no drive. Even has a recover CD included with it but that is useless as there is no way to use it on this laptop. I have been using this laptop flawlessly for over a month its fast for what I need works well I had no complaints until today when I tried to play a dvd and found out the drive that should be on it isn't.

Slow and questionable quality

This computer is way to slow to boot up. Considering it has 12Gig of RAM, there must be a lot of unnecessary fluff in the original configuration. If you are used to resting your wrists on the keyboard, be ready for unwanted keystrokes to "magically" occur. I will have to get a friend to take a look at this to get rid of the crapware that came preinstalled and seems to be slowing down the system. I bought this for photo editing and lite video editing... honestly, not convinced that it will do the job, even with the RAM it has. This is the second open box item I have purchased from BestBuy. The first one arrived inoperable and would not even turn on. I had no problems returning it. This one limps along. Avoid the open box products as they are more problems than they are worth. I am not convinced that the techs have even given the products a once over before slapping a sticker back on the box and certifying it as Geek Squad approved.

Asus fro Best Buy

The open box computer I got is great so far . I've had it for 2 weeks . The sales reps i dealt with though where unprofessional. They because I dealt with 3 in my 2 days of shopping. Had no patience didn't want me comparing products. Always tasking me to the absolute most expensive thing even though I expressed a budget. I was so frustrated, I had to speak to a manager about my experience. That was the most positive part he listened, apologized and went beyond what I expected. He assured me the matter would be brought to the 2 sales reps I spoke with.

Asus X-series laptop

The laptop is generally good. The battery charge/discharge not so good...lucky to get 2 hrs tops even if you use battery saver options. The HDMI plug and play wasn't so plug and play either. Had to download the graphic card app and adjust settings in that app to show tv/laptop dual viewing, not the display properties settings. Same thing with the mouse sensitivity, download app etc..It's fast, the keyboard is great however it won't save my changing to English keyboard, keeps reverting to ENG CMS, annoying for French e's popping up...overall I like the laptop cause the keyboard alone is worth it.

Average laptop

I recently brought an open-box version of this laptop. I discover why someone return is item : Using HDMI to an TV... Image and sound still few miliseconds randomly.... Anoying... The headphone jack is on the other side of the VGA output so the cable cant reach boot... Poor performance so far... I'm considering returning this laptop.

Total waste of money

I ordered online this laptop and got it. it is a third quality laptop as it is defective piece. i called to service center for replacement or money back and they promised me to return back my money. they were going to send me a mail for return procedure but for 8 days i did not get any e-mail. when i called again again to speak with customer representative they were not picking up my call and i was waiting for 19 min call hold.never trust on best buy.
