Doesn't act its age

For starters, the fan noise is awful, to the point of being embarrassing. Secondly, I've had this laptop for little over 6 months, and already it's slowed down to the point where I have to walk away when I open any IDE. Not the worst, but most definitely not the best out there.

Buy another computer

Touch pad was faulty the supposed good quality video card is not. The cursor was flying all over my document when i went to get it fixed i was told it would take 2 weeks or more to get a new computer back that I only had for 6 days. Can you imagine? Not impressed with the laptop or Best Buy

Great Student Computer

The 12GB of RAM is perfecting for having several documents, and tabs open at one time. This computer never lags, and always starts up quickly. It's a little bit pricey, but I feel that Asus makes superior quality products.

Fast and ideal for facebook games.

We had a Lenovo i7 that did suffered real issues after the Windows 10 upgrade. We tried the Asus Zenbook and another i7 Lenovo and returned both because they did not do well in applications that we use. This X456UV is the right size for travel though a bit heavy. So far it's operation has been flawless.

not on sale

This is the same price from 2 weeks ago ... I've been shopping and have a spreadsheet to compare models and prices. I would expect the same from most products so shop around

Worth the money

Laptop is well built, CPU and GPU are farely good, you can play the average game. CSGO I get about 150fps . The laptop works well when surfing the Web it's not slow at all. its also good for school work. Speakers are a little weak. display looks great other then that I don't have any issues.

Kind of Soon to Tell

Ordered this online. Delivered quickly and safely. The aesthetics are fine, it's not meant to be the bell at the ball. My hope is that it will be easy to replace anything that needs upgrading or repairing. So far? Works well, like it should. Seems a little slow. It may have too much bloatware, which I have yet to remove. But, I am used to high powered desktops with solid state drives, so I might be a little unreasonable. It was on sale when I bought it, so for that it was at the right price.

Forgot one thing.

Screen quality was low and the speakers were extremely quiet.

Terrible, expensive and not worth a second look.

Over priced for the way the computer functioned. laptop ran almost twice as smooth. This computer was slow the moment I took it out of the box. Crashed every hour or so or froze. Extremely unreliable. The pictures make it look sleek, but it really isn't. The shift butting is really small so you're always pressing a there keys. Very unhappy with this purchase. Had it quickly returned. And it barely has a 3 hour battery span. And if you're watching YouTube or playing a light game, it'll only last you a good hour. Truly pathetic. Don't know if it was compatibility issues with Windows ten or windows ten itself is just horrible but EveryThing I die, I had to adjust setting just so it would somewhat function with the laptop. Never had these problems on my 3 year old cheap laptop. So long story short, do not buy and it's a waste of money. Don't think I'll be looking at asus laptops anymore.

Good Laptop but they lied about the processor

I bought this laptop recently, and have been using it for a bit now. Its good for browsing and you day to day life stuff. Can run some game (Ran No man's sky decently). And everything seems to be good. But on there website and at there store they claim that its a QUAD core processor but it is a DUAL core processor. Core i7-6500U does not come in quad core. So they are lieing about that and might not be legal. But all in all good laptop. If people that dont know much about computers were to get this it will not be to cool for them to hear PS: would have given it 4 start but the Quad core issue made me kinda annoyed.

Poor build quality

Pros: - Good specs Cons: - Slow hard drive (a 5400 drive does not do justice to its i7 and 920MX) - Poor build quality Explanation: I returned this laptop because a key popped out during normal usage. I wanted this computer for school (CompSci), so having it not withstand typing was a no-go.

Decent- still in testing stages.

This Laptop is great quality. Loaded up with Intel core i7 6th gen. Including windows 10 12 GB of ram and 1000gb hard drive of memory. laptop lasts avg 3=5 hours on full charge 6 hours on battery saver mode. The display it average great for streaming and Netflix. I'm really happy with the speakers they are crisp and no cracking on full volume. Setting up the computer took longer than i thought, took around 25 mins loading up but after the start process the computer has been excellent. I would recommend this to students on a budget that are going into university or college this laptop will get the job done.
