Not worth the hefty price tag

I got this laptop so that i could game more than i was and needed something that could handle the graphics without crashing. This was NOT the laptop i needed. It runs games okay, except for sims 4. If sims 4 is played for more than 2 hours the game will crash. I get messages every week saying "something went wrong with your pc and it will need to restart". A month after i got it i had to send it away to ASUS because the battery was only lasting me 2 hours and they sent it back to me claiming it was fixed while it wasn't. I ended up having to send it to them 4 times before it was actually fixed. Currently it works okay and the battery can last me up to 5 hours depending on what i am doing on it, but if i knew what i did now before i bought it i would not have gotten it.

Plastic Trash

Constant overheating, when off charge battery lasts approximately 2 hours and dies fast. Graphics card is trash, most trending games won't run on it. Not for school or gaming at that.

Poor Performance

Do not purchase this laptop, there is a reason why it is "Sold Out". It can barely perform it's reported consumer computer data at max settings without having issues of system performance. When I initially purchased there was minor damage to physical laptop, static charge built up on the screen causing issues, and all the drivers were out of date (to be expected when buying dated laptops). ASUS is fine as far as brand goes but I would never purchase a laptop from Best Buy again and I will be only purchasing models that have a strong reputation.

Good for the price

Components and quality = 5* You're getting midgrade components, with a capable entry-level graphics card Quality of open box reset = 1* Windows.old from the old installation was not wiped, and permissions were corrupted, so a full reset was required. Assistance from local geek squad = 5* During the reset, I ran into issues, and took the laptop in. 5 minutes later, the GS tech had me fixed and on my way. The stock HDD is beyond slow, so I added an m.2 SSD (NVMe) to use as the boot drive. The laptop is now lightning fast, and install was simple.

Doesn't go past set up.

Open box laptop just got it and every time i do the start up settings it just resets every time. I don't know why it doesn't work. I've tried everything to make it happen. I cant get past it to do anything else. Very upsetting.

Bought online. Certified Open Box. Should be very good one. However after 5 hours windows installation and then over night updates, got 100% HD usage all the time even no any application ran in background. We just returned it.
