Awesome Router

This Router is Awesome!! I had gone through 2 other routers before finally settling on this one. Every feature you can think of is available and pretty easy to setup. I love the fact that it has an 8 port switch as opposed to the regular 4 that comes on most routers. I cant wait to run a dedicated cat6 line to one of the Gaming ports and see what boosts I will get!! I would recommend for sure. I am receiving points in the ROG Elite Rewards loyalty program for my review

Over priced brick

I didn't read the previous review prior to purchasing this router. My bad. I already own the older RT-AC5300 and am quite happy with it, but I wanted to make use of the Asus AiMesh system with the two routers hard-wired together. To say that my existing network performance degraded would be quite an understatement. It went right down the toilet. To top it off, Asus support is at a complete loss as to what is wrong with their firmware. The one good thing from this experience, I give top marks to Best Buy for allowing me to return this overpriced brick.

Does not go the extra mile

I have been through two of these so far in 2018 and ASUS cannot get them working properly. Check the reviews and forums online having to do with the latest firmware and issues related to wifi bands disappearing and the routers in general not working at all. Buyer beware this is broken till they revamp it and they don't currently know what to do with all the new issues so they have stopped answering there help forums.

Makes a huge difference!

This is a completely non-technical review. I bought this router because I pay for the best internet you can get, and still could not game at the same time as someone else in my home. With it's 2 dedicated gaming ports, we can finally enjoy playing at the same time effortlessly. Overall, I would say our internet is at lease 150% faster with this router. The range is also much better. Previous dead zones within my home, now get at lease a functional signal. It has a ton of features I really don't know how to use. Like I said... (non technical). All I know is, I can now do lots of things simultaneously that I previously could not do without everything suffering.
