  • Won't find a machine this powerful for a lower price

A great all around laptop, I really have no complaints about it (except the original drivers). 512gb is a great size for storage. Most laptops are shipping with 256, which is really not enough. I've tried it with previous laptops and was constantly deleting and moving stuff for space. On top of that, there is a spare slot to install more hard drive space if you need it! 16gb of ram allows me to open multiple virtual machines at a time for software development, without issue. It has a decent dedicated graphics card, keyboard backlighting, and a pretty decent screen. I definitely prefer the matte finish to the standard glossy out there. It could go a bit brighter, but I don't plan to be working in direct sunlight, so that's not really an issue for me. Tips for purchasers: - Download the latest BIOS and drivers! My only complaint with this machine is the mouse cursor would occasionally jump around from the touchpad. It was infrequent but annoying. Latest drivers have fixed this completely. - Install ThrottleStop to run and offset the voltages. This will increase the performance of the laptop, lower cpu temperatures and increase the battery life. The fan rarely turns on when using this. After setting it up my typical CPU temps are in the mid 30's vs mid 40's without. The battery has shown up to 9 hours remaining, although I have never actually timed it, I would estimate I've gotten 7 hours out of it, which should be enough for most people. On top of that, it was quick charge with 60% charge in 50 minutes. This is lighter than a macbook pro that is more than triple the cost, plus you don't need dongles to use HDMI or regular USB ports. Overall, this is one of the best value machines available.

  • Fantastic ultrabook that can handle some light gaming!

I wanted a nice looking Ultrabook that I could game a little on without looking like a bright red gaming machine. This one is all metal, looks fantastic and with the MX150 graphics card it can handle most of my games on reasonable settings. Great looking screen too. Very happy!

The laptop is not bad. But the battery time makes it useless as a portable device. With such a battery the laptop is too expensive. It always needs to be close to power source.
